Currently, we have 3 beings associated with the word "creator"
1. The true(fallen)creator is often shown as a Hanged man or giant from a reverse cross and also the God worshiped by the Aurora order.
2. The Lord that created everything, the omnipotent and omniscient God that the city of silver worships.

So basically sequences are like routes, there are different routes with different powers. The most well known sequence in the evernight church ( where klien is) is the sleepless route which dunn and the others over there took. Also do you remember back when Alger in his ship used his beyonder power and scales came out of his skin? thats a different path.
