Characters are written well but the story is just all over the place

Info dumps everywhere 

The plot moves at a slow pace

everything seems to be talking about past encounters 

30 chapters in and no sign of mission or any goals, just the mc reminiscing about past experiences 

To sum it up the past 30 chapters were info dumps, sideplots and more sideplots 

No sign of plot progression or any plot coherence 

No sign of any goals just the mc daydreaming and info dumps

Every few chapters there's a story about a new character that the mc meet but it abruptly ends because the next few chapters it's time to introduce a new character for a different sub plot 

It's like the author didn't know how to make a freely flowing narrative but instead just made a bunch of sideplots hoping later it will make sense? Or that all the characters becomes interconnected somehow by telling info dumps early on 

Other novels have a great way of introducing characters that makes sense in the characters journey 

This one though it's just a bunch of characters made and info dumped early on without letting us see any of the mc journey smoothly but instead we have it fragmented and all over the place because the author probably didn't know how to make a good plot progression where everything is freely flowing and interconnected 

All we get is bunch of side characters the mc meets repeat and proceed
