PS: This is actually my first time writing a review — and I'm only doing it because this novel holds a special place in my heart.
Reverend Insanity is one of those novels that pushes readers to extremes — you’ll either love it or hate it. Honestly? I loved it.
The author has a very deliberate narrative style: each story arc starts slow, immersing you in the atmosphere and a sense of calm, almost like a cooldown after the dopamine rush of the previous climax. And those arc finales? Some of the best I’ve seen in years of reading webnovels. The payoff? Nothing short of spectacular.
At times, the pacing might seem to falter, but it’s all part of the structure. Let the author cook — you’ll be rewarded. Impressively, especially for a xianxia novel, it just keeps getting better.
The protagonist is the absolute highlight. He’s the ultimate villain — cold, cunning, ruthless, and deeply compelling. Easily the best MC I’ve come across in cultivation novels. And the supporting cast? Top-tier. Unlike most stories in the genre, the “old monsters” here aren’t just filler — they’re crafty, dangerous, and genuinely fascinating. No throwaway elders here; every character brings something to the table.💯
