I might have to glaze here, because this is the most detailed any novel has ever gone into martial arts.
It makes sense why there are almost no "swordmasters". The whole reason being, the absence of "Qi" that every other martial arts novel has.
Without Qi, sword techniques produce nothing special, yeah you can have your "The way of the 72 demon steps" technique, but at the end of the day without Qi, all you're doing is just swinging your sword in a pattern, that's it.
Im probably wrong about it when it comes to a martial saint, but I can GUARANTEE we will see Rui fight an especially powerful swordsman sooner or later.
These healing potions seem to be THE most valuable in this series.
Without them the flux method wouldn't even work because without a potion, the patient would simply die to the radiation since their body wouldn't be able to recover without the use of a potion.
Furthermore, the stinger technique, plus a multitude of other martial techniques wouldn't be viable without potions. Because conditioning the bone without potions takes decades, and Rui conditioned his toe with the stinger in just a few months with the use of potions.
Still don't know if I can bring myself to read COI, because I don't really see myself enjoying it as much as I did reading LotM.
And from what I've heard, COI doesn't really "end" things off with the characters or with the story. And idk if cuttlefish can really make a satisfying book 3, if he ever writes one.
Ts is PEAK. Should be within the top 30 ranking easily.
The universe building paired with incredible characters makes for an incredibly enjoyable read.
However, I found it to be MORE enjoyable to read after the first few hundred chapters. I'm NOT saying the first few hundred are bad...but the story actually starts to pick up and take off after the first few hundred.
I've read a bit of one piece. And In my opinion, one piece is just not interesting at all.
I don't find myself amazed by the power system. The characters are boring and I don't feel ANY connection to them whatsoever. Compare that to novels, where I actually FEEL for a character.
And just because it has sold many copies, doesn't equate to it being BETTER than everything else.
Because using your logic, Shakespeare, Harry Potter, the bible and MANY more pieces of literature would be better than one piece...

I think this is a sign to drop webnovels go read One Piece, ur life will never be the same
The sheer amount of information dumps in the first 150 chapters would thin out the herd of MOST novel readers.
I will admit that this IS peak, the combat situations are VERY enjoyable to read purely because of the immense details and the unique take on how the martial arts is implemented. BUT I do think some of the info dumps are ridiculous.
However if you like details upon details, then this is for you.
If this was written like LotM, then it would be a masterpiece.

How are these symbiotic techniques even considered "techniques"?
I mean you have a whole a*s sentient parasite living in your brain, how on earth would you even improve and/or remove it?
And can these symbiotes even survive the radiation dosages when advancing to the martial squire stage?
It will obviously be expanded on since we will see Rui get a symbiote of some kind.

Absolutely PEAK fight. I enjoyed this fight just as much as some of kleins fights in LotM.
i have to admit that the author knows what he's fucking doing while writing these scenes.
Didn't expect her to be involved with a group of gambling perverts lol...
Peak fiction.
