While the story itself is decently interesting and cunning, chapters are a bit short (around 2-3 chapters per one real chapter), and the main power that the MC has is only somewhat of use, though it's definitely used tastefully otherwise. In any case, refreshing to see an MC with actual deception skills.
Probably one of the most interesting novels I've read in a while. Rather than focusing entirely on cultivation and the normal cliches that are associated with it, it focuses a lot more on intrigue, with cultivation being a side aspect.Unlike most MCs, this one can actually be called cunning, unlike others which are 'cunning' but really just have plot armor. The main premise of this one is that the main character has a book of desires that allows him to do anything. His use of the book is smart, and he accurately manipulates others strategically. This is one of those rare reads that really feels like both a villain and a smart MC.
