Some might think that he was just trying to scare the children, but he was actually telling the truth.
If you remember, the characteristics that they consume to become Beyonders originally belonged to the original creator and after to mythical creatures so they contain eons of collected madness and insanity. That is one of the primary reasons Beyonders lose control.
If you remember, he received those after effects on his arms when he advanced to sequence 7 Magician and those granules when he advanced to 6 Faceless. The higher his sequence gets, the more madness is converged in his body and the harder it gets to resist it. That is also why sequence 4 and 3 Beyonders are called demigods while sequence 2 and 1 Beyonders are referred to as angels.
They slowly shed their mortal flesh and lose their humanity. At sequence 0, they are true deities that no mortal being can comprehend.
This fight was straightforward, so I'll just point some things out:
1. Psychic frenzy belongs to sequence 7 Psychiatrist characteristic inside the Creeping Hunger. It makes the targets emotions go out of control.
2. Psychic piercing belongs to sequence 7 Interrogator characteristic inside the Creeping Hunger. It directly attacks and damages a person's psych. Using them both is a very strong combo that made the already unstable bishop lose control and turn into a monster. Abilities from the sun domain are very potent against monsters and evil beings, so it was basically a wrap for that guy.
3. The glove has two modes. Devouring and Grazing. We just witnessed Devouring. It allows the artifact to devour the flesh and blood of a target to satisfy its hunger, but it'll leave the soul and the Beyonder characteristics alone.
You'll see more of these two modes in the future, so I'll leave it at that.

1. Klein once speculated that since all the Beyonder pathways come from the original creator's body, then that being was the combination of both feminism and masculinity. Thus, he concluded that the [Demoness]pathway is the representative of pure feminism so there must be another one that represents pure masculinity. The [Red Priest]pathway is revealed to be the other half.
2. Hermes was mentioned in the middle chapters of the previous volume by the members of the psychology alchemists that accepted Audrey as a member. Hermes was said to be one of the first humans to master mysticism and also the founder of the Hermes language. The language is now widely used in rituals. It was also mentioned that the psychology alchemists organization was created because of them finding a ruin belonging to Hermes.
1. Why is he giving Azik the actual blasphemy card instead of just the formulas in it?
That's because Azik doesn't care about the [Dark Emperor]pathway and its formulas. The reason Klein is sending him the card is to see whether the high level of the card will have any effects on his memories and help him remember more of his past lives.
Title meaning: The title Faceless refers not just to Klein's promotion to sequence 6 Faceless, but also to the faceless people who lived and died on East Backlund as some of the backbone members of society. Although their stories were rarely known, their contributions were invaluable. The spotlight on Old Kohler and Liz's family was the author's attempt at portraying just some of the stories of these faceless people.
Finally, the title also refers to Klein's changing identity, how he is not really Sherlock Moriarty, nor Klein Moretti, but Zhou Mingrui. He has a different mask for every situation, so in the end, his face does not capture his true self.
Creeping Hunger is the artifact that rear admiral hurricane Qilangos used back in volume one. It was taken by Azik after he killed Qilangos. It corresponds to a sequence 5 shepherd. It can devour to 5 souls and save up to three Beyonder abilities, but it's completely random.

1. At some point in the battle, the brilliant Audrey not only put a Virtual Persona into Botis but also buried a Seed of Madness in his mind.
2. The VP forced him to teleport to a predetermined kill box instead of his own destination.
3. He managed to use a recorded ability to extract the VP from his mind, but instantly, the Seed of Madness erupted.
4. Cattleya appeared and used an ability from the "Sleeping Beauty" to turn his mind sluggish and exhausted.
5. Using this timing, Audrey used her VP to attack his mind further and bring him to the brink of losing control.
6. Botis used his recorded abilities and Blink to destroy the VP and keep Cattleya busy.
7. Audrey used her dragon form and attacked both using Mind Breath.
8. Cattleya managed to avoid most of the damage with the Moon Doll she got from Fors and attack Botis with the spear.
9. Botis didn't die, but he lost all sanity, and the moment the box returned, he tried to use it to bring everyone down with him.
