Hmm... he may not be an antihero. I am as confused as anyone else regarding the name. But despite being protrayed as an antihero, he is not quite one unfortunately. He is like a water downed version of Frey from 'The main Heroines are trying to kill me'. 🤣

d*mn antihero protagonist is always my thing thanks for the recommendation
So it seems you are not very familliar with the antagonist genre. I'm not trying to hate, but that's how it seems. The antagonist is never supposed to have life and death battles with the protagonists. What is the point of a villain lurking above you all times if the protagonists have a shot at beating him. As the are called in the novel, they are the favoured sons of heaven. They have either mystical treasures or special physiques which the antagonist wishes to steal.
In the antagonist genre, if the MC is struggling a lot, especially early on, it's more of an author issue, than a reader issue. An antagonist novel I tried and disliked a lot is [Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day] and it's due to the MC being pathetically weak early on. Like where is the villain part?
It's like going in a novel with overpowered tag, and the MC is weak early on. That should not be an OP tag, but maybe a weak-to-strong tag instead.
Not trying to hate on you, just stating.

its also too easy for MC, he just skimms through all the arc, there is no struggle, no life or death situation, no mind blowing facts, no proper hype moments. he just does it and it gets done. well that is what happened till 110 and I got bored of this s*it.
So, he does not spare all females as you would think. I don't want to spoil heavily, so I won't name drop, but I'll say this, there are many heroines he literally bodies and straight up kills, just to get the favoured son of heaven to lose some luck and sanity. The only female which I could see dying and for a reason is the one with Qie in her name. He spares quite a bit in the beginning, not later on though. The other heroines are, depending on their values, either spared or used as pawns to cause the sons of heavens demise.
A large harem? Yes, indeed. While he has a handful of legal wives, the rest are lovers, but the author did mention he will not expand the harem much more, maybe 1-2 additions. So we have a final roster and it will only be developed henceforth.
Is there anything besides the part regarding him sparing some heroines that is bothering you? I can clarify any 'disturbances' you may have. This novel is definitely one of the better harem & antagonist novel.

I gave it a try, but the harem aspect just didn’t sit right with me. I would’ve been fine if there were only three or four girls, but from what I’ve read, the number seems much higher—and that really bothered me.
Also, the main character seems to hold grudges only against male protagonists while completely sparing the heroines. Why? He’s supposed to be a villain—an evil one at that—so why is he letting the heroines off the hook? They played a role in his downfall in his previous life too, didn’t they?
So why are they getting a free pass? It feels like, as long as a character is female, she’s safe and automatically becomes part of his harem.
Hunter about to have one crazy character development. I can already see my sorry a*s being beat the hell up later. 😭

New Ep !!! Part- 5
Hunter knew what he had to do, but after encountering his enemy his determination soared through the sky. He decided to go home for now, well...if it could be called home, he arrived infront of a two story seemingly small rundown building, at a glance it looked like a horror house, but Hunter who had been disregarded by everyone has no choice but to live here, he followed a daily routine of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run, he followed a vegetable only diet, although this was too straining for him, he still pushed himself to his limit just for that one day when he'll be able to go out in the daylight without any disguise, when he was done he was drenched in sweat, he rested for a bit, drank some water and took a nap till evening, he suddenly woke up, looked around frantically, because he woke up from the sound of footsteps, they resounded outside the lonely building on the old metal staircase leading to the second floor where he was.
Ladies and gentlemen today's latest ep again!!! Part- 4
Hunter walked but as he doesn't have any weapons so he decided to go to a weapon shop, once he was there he opened the shops door and his eyes suddenly contracted as he saw his once best friend and mortal enemy Sorrowful and once he looked around him, he saw Xelvion's wife who has silvery white hair and grey eyes and beside her was the girl he had bumped into some time ago, Sorrowful noticed the hateful gaze and suddenly turned around and said with a grin, "What's up, bestfriend", Hunter was enraged and ran upto him and held him by the collar, the staff and people in the shop were shocked, but Sorrowful just said with an even voice "what? aren't you gonna do anything, you scaredy cat", Hunter's blood was boiling but he decided not to take action as there were many people and decided to retreat and take him out on another opportunity, he let him go, gave a glace to the girl and Xelvion's wife, turned around and left the shop.
I, in deep sorrow, must inform that I have not read this yet😭
I am sorry. I've been slacking.
I'm currently reading 'I Became the Mastermind Who Betrays the Heroines', and if you are in search of something, this one should sate your hunger. It features a very overpowered main character who basically tries to usher the protagonist, as well as other supporting characters towards the right path. He uses his power to prevent any traumatic results from happening (So if during an event, only the protagonists survives, he makes it so that the protagonist have their character development, but also everybody survives, so a win-win).
The characters are good, the action is good, the development is going strong too.
I can go in more details if you need more info before deciding.
🙏I'll try to keep up with the novelreading, just a little bit before summer vacation.
