noble creatures came from the gods, such as the shadowspawn sunny was during his second nightmare, noble creatures can form multiple soul cores and walk the path of ascension (if you're referring to Nightmare creatures as Dark creatures) There was a time where creatures existed and they weren't defiled, as we can see on the second nightmare. We don't know exactly what made them corrupted tho, it's somehow related to the void and it's influence, I believe.

I always thought that the dark creatures were descended from the gods. Either hereditary or created, the god of the sea I believe. But in the current chapters it says that they don't come from the gods. Do you know for sure?
The worm is merely a cursed beast, probably if it was unholy of a greater class, I don't think it's will is strong enough to bend anything other than it's body, during it's fight with sunny it only changed it's size and weight.
