I like the simple training dynamic happening here. Also the power system seems to lean to beasts compared to actually natural strength and I love to see someone training natural strength compared to relying on beasts.
Lin sees potential, so probably gonna train him. Ren pointing out flaws mid battle should tell everyone that he actually knows what he is talking about. Also Yang has lost points in my book so Wei=Yang purely because of both making Ren a laughing stock.
Tiger boy fought someone else... Kai against Ren our boy. Also wasn't Kai supposed to be a speed type not a naturally defensive type? Or is the 10% stat bonus really that bad? Because in my mind 10-30% stat bonus shouldn't do anything really atleast right now. Cause at this point they should all be kids with VERY limited training unless you train for hunting beasts.
So Ren is fighting tiger boy. Professor Yang> Professor Wei. Also a specialist in fighting tamers? I'd assume some type of predictions for attacks or some type of ailment she can use to weaken opponents.
