This novel is Absolutely fantastic. You have a world where your action have actual consequences and the result will not always be what you like. It's a story about the man who gave away everything to go even higher and the price he has to pay with.
It's a pretty good slice of life x western cultivation novel with a cast that is actually memorable. If you're up for the ride you will probably enjoy it quite a lot
I swear the shit is missing the comedy tags xD
Everything in this novel is so over the top outrageous and bad shit insane that it actually somehow manages to become entertaining.
I read the entire story. All the 4500 Plus chapters...
My personal perspective is:
this story is super repetitive, uses shitty references and has all together a outrageously questionable protagonist.
Character development does not exist in this novel.
Honestly speaking at this point I'm asking myself if the author himself knows where the f*ck his going with this work.
Honestly, I wouldn't have expected that I would enjoy this novel so much. The entire main cast is absolutely charming and delightful. The humor is not subtle yet lighthearted and delightful. It truly sounds like the mocking bantering between close friends.
The main character Jack has an extra ordinary rich emotional spectrum and develops a lot by processing the grief of his wife passing in the beginning of the novel. I think what I like the most about his character development is that it is subtle yet believable. It lets you reflect a bit how little changes can truly improve your satisfaction in life without changing the core of who you are.
I think we can describe Jacks character the best by calling him a chaotic good man. he is not a man that is a flawless saint of human being. Yet his tendencies for good are more than present and believable.
We see over the entire length of his journey a wide variety of places locations and cultures each distinct yet memorable in their own way. The descriptions of food sometimes will even make your own stomach crave a snack.
I think you can truly see how much the author loves the world that he created by the sheer attention to details that he puts on display.
All in all, i would highly recommend everyone to read this novel because it is one hell of a good ride if you can ignore the little flaws and tendencies to over explain stuff
Honestly the novel is pretty good.
The main ability of the protagonist creates one hell of a fantastic tool to create world building and gives the reader a fantastic glimpse into the broader perspective of the universe.
The rest is for yourself to discover
This novel takes the entire trope of reincarnated into a magical world and fills it up to the top with fantastic characters, beautiful interactions, unpredictable plot twists, a s*it ton of creativity and one Hell of a charming main cast.
This book accomplishes to truly give this overused genre a breath of fresh air.
Truly a mast read.
