Review: Life Simulation: I Caused the Female Sword Immortal to Regret Forever

The novel tells the story of Xu Xi,

he lives in a world that suddenly became extraordinary, but due to an accident on the day of the spiritual revival, he ended up paraplegic. Years later, Xu Xi gains a mysterious simulation system that allows him to be reborn in other worlds.

Unlike typical simulation novels, we don't just follow texts and more texts as we watch the MC's reaction to them, he literally goes inside the simulation and lives a life there.

If I had to sum him up in a few words, it would be: "A tragic Pokemon trainer!". Tragedy seems to be something the author loves to do, of course, I found it quite interesting and good the first couple of times, but it ends up becoming dull and repetitive, and that's what started to ruin the novel for me.

I'm sad, because it had a lot of potential. I don't have much to say about the world, the author doesn't seem to like world-building, so much so that we barely know the general setting of the real world and the simulated world is hardly ever explored in depth. Each simulation is almost like a separate story, so you don't have to worry about reading walls of text summarizing things. In fact, prepare some tissues, you'll need them, because the author knows how to stir the reader's emotions.

The MC isn't dumb either, he's even intelligent at various times, but unfortunately this comes across less and less as the story progresses.

My assessment is that it's a good read if you don't have anything too important to read and want to see various stories and systems of power being explored not too deeply.

overall 3.4 👋

For those who doubt whether it is worth going further than 10 chapters, where the hero is still getting slapped and fighting hunger.

Yes, first of all, the hero has a global goal, it will only be achieved at the very end of the light novel.secondly, everything is interconnected here; in later chapters it is revealed that in earlier ones there are echoes of how it all twists.thirdly, the hero’s relationship with the NPCs is well developed here, but sometimes Lin Mu can lose touch with them for obvious reasons.

For those who like harems, romance and other dynamics with hetero and homo romance, this will not happen here. In general, Lin Mu is simply a fanatic in his studies, and even if he gets into the red light district, he will simply get embarrassed and quickly leave. He has no regard for women at all, even now in the 1800s, when he is covertly and openly offered s#x with a hot lady.

!!!! spoiler

[However, here comes a Saint who can lay claim to his wife, because she seems to be a beauty and her veiled support for Lin Mu leaves no room for fantasy, where he eventually settles down. Therefore, for now I’m saying that at the time of the events everything is very innocent, but it’s already worth taking a closer look at the arch where I am.]

But if everything remains within the bounds of friendship, then alas, Lin Mu is a typical working boy who will come to his senses too late and will probably leave a descendant or heir to power with some unknown personality

About fights. There is a lot here, but there is more emphasis on the hero’s ingenuity.

He is able to break through the worlds between himself and the enemy, simply because he has his inheritance, his familiar and his team that follows him, as well as his strong teacher who will save him if there is a life or death situation.

 It's rare, but yes, it's a piano.

overall 3.7👋

Review: I Shall Be Everlasting In the World of Immortals

The story is about a man living his 3rd life in the cultivation world. Having learned and formed his view of this world, he set himself a goal for this life of Reaching the Nacent soul level.

In this life, he has poor talent and was not accepted into the sect, and therefore he decided to cultivate a ancient longevity technique which he got in his second life. His path is slow and steady development,

avoiding trouble as much as possible after two lives, he realized how easy it is to lose life and freedom in the world of cultivation, and therefore all his actions are driven by reason and a clear goal. He will never show all his strength to the public, but at the same time he will not expose himself as complete trash who is easily offended.

The way he shows himself to the world is that he is a tenacious cultivator with poor talent but enough value to be useful without being a threat or prey. The world around him lives and does not revolve around him alone; events occur regardless of his intervention or presence, but he, to the best of his ability, can influence some of them. Or run away if it could be dangerous for him and have no benefit.

The main character is not an idiot, not extremely self-confident, he rather truly embodies a person who has lived long enough in the cultivation world. His actions are not driven by hormones or emotions, but rather by calculation and understanding.

I’ll emphasize once again that the world around him is not stupid, other cultivators understand the meaning of opportunities and the fact that they can be taken away. There will be no such thing that everyone silently admires and envy. If they think you have something they need and can take it away, they will do it.

Regarding the harem, the main character is not a magnet for anything and everything beauty, he gets his share of jade beauty but he does not start a full-fledged relationship. His goal is the main thing, and the girls on his way only act as temporary companions, which he honestly informs them about. He does not start a family and children, because he understands that this will burden him.

In general, he is moderately cruel, but only for logical purposes.

He is ready to help his friends, but only to a limited extent, he does not carry them on himself and does not trust them unconditionally, because they know only a little more about him than others know.
