(The following is me going on a minor tangent..) Most of the time in lightnovels that involve the MC ending up with a harem is that. They will have a situation where the MC ends up having "girlfriend" this is usually before any proper romance takes place/the MC is unaware of it (The MC being dense asf...). It's during this stage that the other candidates/love interests will realize that they actually are attracted to the MC. Typical and cliché but it's fun to read at times, just predictable.

Well, let's just let it play out, nothing I can do about it after all, probably just an event so that the MC could build a bit of favour with Edna. Knowing plots like this, our MC will probably become involved.

The following statement is purely speculation: In fact from other novels, it's likely that our MC will end up being the core of the drama probably becoming Edna's "boyfriend/engaged partner".
