Chapter 95: Chapter 94 Zi Yan’s Acupuncture
When only Lin Tian and two others were left in the room, he explained the treatment method to Song Yanan and let her choose for herself.
"Brother Lin, don’t be nervous, just go ahead," Song Yanan, however, reassured Lin Tian.
Lin Tian hadn’t felt awkward until she said that, and now her words seemed to carry an ambiguity. Since the lady herself wasn’t scared, he shouldn’t be either, so he instructed Zi Yan to start boiling the water.
Lin Tian then went to prepare the herbs according to the secret recipe. There were over a dozen different herbs in the prescription, and thankfully, Zi Yan had a full stock, otherwise he would have had to go out and look for them.
Once all the herbs were gathered and Zi Yan’s boiling water was almost ready, he poured the herbs into the container with the water, heated it to a boil for ten minutes, and a pot of thick, brown potion was successfully concocted. He filtered out the herbal residue and poured the potion into a wooden tub, then added cold water to adjust it to the right temperature.
"Sister Song, you can take off your clothes and get in, or if you feel uncomfortable, you can wear a thin shirt," Lin Tian said, trying to maintain a steady tone, though he felt inexplicably nervous, still a novice at this.
And Song Yanan, despite being in her thirties, took great care of herself. She had fair skin and a tall, attractive figure—a real beauty indeed.
Lin Tian turned around to give her privacy to get ready. The rustling sound of clothes being removed filled the room as the formidable woman stripped down right there, followed by the sound of splashing water.
"Brother Lin, I’m ready, you can start," called out Song Yanan.
When Lin Tian turned back around, he saw that Song Yanan was already soaking in the potion. She was leaning on the edge of the tub, still in her underwear. Ah, his thoughts had wandered. Lin Tian chided himself inwardly with a chuckle.
"Zi Yan, keep an eye on the water temperature in the tub; it needs to stay warm and not cool down," Lin Tian instructed, as the tub was equipped with a special heater which simply needed careful adjustment.
Lin Tian removed his suit jacket and approached the side of the tub. The steam rose continuously from the tub, rendering Song Yanan’s skin a translucent pink, adding to her allure.
With focused calm and aversion to impropriety, Lin Tian composed himself and looked keenly ahead. The meridians and muscles in Song Yanan’s waist became clear before him. He plunged his hands into the water, employing the sword finger technique and focusing on the affected area, shifting his hand movements constantly—vibrating, pinching, and pushing with different forces to unblock the meridians and blood vessels.
Under Lin Tian’s dedicated massage, the power of the potion penetrated her skin pores, slowly seeping into the muscle tissue and nurturing the damaged muscles. The massage lasted for an hour, but Lin Tian remained calm and composed, not out of breath. Zi Yan watched in amazement, wondering how much strength and stamina it took to sustain such effort.
"Sister Song, how do you feel?" Lin Tian asked after finishing the massage.
"Very relaxed, I feel like I can go back to jade carving right away. Brother Lin, you are amazing, you made me feel so good!" Song Yanan suddenly turned over in her excitement, causing the potion in the tub to slosh about, almost revealing too much.
Her words were way too ambiguous, and Lin Tian was glad he had sent Wan Gaoyuan out; otherwise, if he had heard that, he might have chased him with a kitchen knife. Lin Tian sternly looked at the concealed beauty beneath the water, content with his decision.
Zi Yan looked on, a teasing smile on her face, and then leaned in to whisper, "Lin Tian, have you had your fill of looking? If so, please turn around and let her get dressed."
Whether he had seen enough or not, any answer would have trapped him in this cunning proprietress’s snare. Lin Tian nodded solemnly and turned around with poise, looking utterly proper.
After getting dressed, they were met by an anxious Wan Gaoyuan who immediately grasped his wife’s hand, urging, "How did it go?"
With an easy, excited expression, Song Yanan said, "I feel like I can continue working; Brother Lin is miraculous, he..."
"Ah, Sister Song..." Lin Tian, alarmed, quickly interrupted what she was about to say next. Anyone would find her words ambiguous. Pretending to be stern, he said, "You haven’t fully recovered yet; you must undergo two more therapy sessions, and you mustn’t lift heavy items for a hundred days. Even at work, you need to balance activity with rest. It’s best to persist with practicing Five Animals Qigong to prevent a recurrence of the same back pain."
"Yanan, did you hear that? You can’t be reckless anymore. It’s right to listen to Brother Lin," Wan Gaoyuan reprimanded, knowing all too well his wife’s obsession with jade carving.
"Yes, Sister Song, your health is important. And Boss Wan, you should take Sister Song home first. She has just been treated with herbal medicine, and after intense circulatory stimulation, she needs rest. Tomorrow at this time, come back here to Zi Yan’s place for therapy," Lin Tian advised, to prevent them from impulsively wandering and hindering her recovery.
"Brother Lin, I won’t bother with insincere pleasantries. You’ve done me a great service this time, so if there’s anything you need, just say the word—no need to be polite!" Wan Gaoyuan was very sincere in his promise.
That was exactly the response Lin Tian had worked for; all his efforts weren’t in vain. After sending them off, Lin Tian and Xiao Manxue were also about to leave, but Zi Yan stopped him.
"Lin Tian, are you interested in making a deal?" Zi Yan suggested with a seductive smile, a peculiar glint in her eye.
"What deal?" Lin Tian was unsure of her intentions and puzzled by her strange look.
"You teach me your massage technique, and I’ll teach you acupuncture—how about it?" Zi Yan stated her proposal, though the content was rather unusual.
"Acupuncture? I’m not interested in regular acupuncture," Lin Tian declined bluntly, putting it rather tactfully.
In Lin Tian’s opinion, Zi Yan’s acupuncture was nothing more than basic knowledge, as she hadn’t been able to heal Song Yanan. He wasn’t about to agree simply because Zi Yan was charming and attractive; his own massage technique, though its origins were unknown, was certainly not ordinary.
An uneven trade was foolish to consider. Yet, Zi Yan seemed confident as ever, her smile unwavering as she said, "I’ve been observing your massage techniques; they are complex and elusive, but I have this feeling of déjà vu."
"Déjà vu?" Lin Tian exclaimed, wondering if she knew the old man who had taken him in. Xiao Manxue also looked puzzled, having seen Zi Yan’s massage and acupuncture techniques without finding anything special about them.
Zi Yan spoke earnestly, "Yes, I have a secret ancient acupuncture text in my collection, but unfortunately, I can only understand a fraction of the techniques and dare not apply them clinically. However, the techniques in it somewhat resemble yours, potentially sharing the same origin!"
