"This is the last thing I’ll do for you. From now on, we’ll go our separate ways and may never meet again. Take care of yourself." Lin Tian said calmly, then turned around without hesitation and left the room.

Until Lin Tian disappeared outside the door, tears finally streamed down Qi Jing’s face. Was it regret, relief, or something else entirely? Her heart felt like a bottle of mixed spices, filled with complex feelings.

After Lin Tian walked out of the room, he went straight for the elevator upstairs without any nostalgia. Watching the numbers of the elevator climb, Lin Tian suddenly felt as if it were just yesterday. He had always felt that the matter with Qi Jing was over, but it was only now that he understood it had really ended.

An affection where he had once genuinely invested now truly came to a paragraph. No matter how things were before, Qi Jing had become a thing of the past.

For a long time afterward, Lin Tian did not see Qi Jing again. She didn’t even appear when filling out college applications. They were like passing travelers in each other’s lives.
