As soon as Captain Liu said this, Zeng Cai and Lv Bo dared not speak anymore. Both men were gamblers, and their own salaries were not enough for their expenses, which is why they had been bought by Sun Decai. They were even more afraid that Sun Decai would get them laid off. Without jobs, they would have no source of gambling money at all.

"Everyone, please disperse, and do not disrupt the school’s educational order," Captain Liu called out to the parents.

With the two fake parent representatives caught, they dared not argue back, fearing they might be suspected of being Zeng Cai’s accomplices and that they’d stir up trouble for themselves.

The parents hung their heads and left the school, and Captain Liu also took the fake parents away. Whether they would be fined, detained, or end up in prison, that was now a matter for the police to handle.

The students also dispersed one by one, and finally, only Liu Ruming and a few students and teachers remained, marking the end of this farce.

"Where’s Lin Tian? Where did he run off to? I just saw him standing over there," Liu Ruming suddenly said.

Xiao Manxuan also looked around, but Lin Tian’s figure was nowhere to be seen. Apart from Liu Ruming, Zhang Lingyu, Liu Wenxing, and a few students from senior grade three class one, Lin Tian had already disappeared.

As they were looking for Lin Tian, Zhang Lingyu glanced at the stairs of the teaching building, where a familiar figure flashed by, but she did not say anything.

At the rooftop of the teaching building, Sun Decai, Bai Yufeng, and others were standing with tense faces, feeling utterly terrible. They had seen everything that happened, but it did not go according to their plan. The arrival of the police was something they had not expected.

"Damn it, a bunch of useless fools. I had a meticulously laid plan, and they managed to screw it up," Sun Decai spat furiously.

Bai Yufeng’s expression was somewhat calmer than Sun Decai’s, and he said, "I told you, Lin Tian is not so easy to handle. My grandfather has suffered losses at his hands."

Lai Xiucheng also frowned and said, "What a pity this time. Such a good opportunity, and Lin Tian managed to dodge it."

"Dodge?" Bai Yufeng scoffed coldly, "If you think that way, you’ll never get a chance to regain your reputation. You’re really shortsighted!"

Lai Xiucheng was rebuked, his face flushed with embarrassment, but he dared not retort. Bai Yufeng was the Second Young Master Bai, and he was even less likely to provoke him than Sun Decai.

"Wu Li?" Lai Xiucheng asked, puzzled.

"You haven’t been at the school long, so of course you don’t know who Wu Li is. He’s a returnee from overseas, was the English teacher of senior grade three class one, and had a promising future. Because he opposed Lin Tian, he ended up losing his job and now has no ground to stand on in Xikou City," Sun Decai explained.

"Clap, clap, clap..." A round of applause suddenly came from the corridor, startling everyone.

"Who’s there? Come out!" Lai Xiucheng shouted, still fuming from Bai Yufeng’s scolding. He wanted to vent his anger on someone, and as luck would have it, someone had appeared.

However, when he saw the person appearing at the entrance of the corridor, he was so frightened that his eyes bulged, and he retreated several steps, stopping only when he hit the railing at the top of the building.

The others weren’t much better off. While Sun Decai and Bai Yufeng did not retreat, their faces turned pale.

"What’s the matter? Do I look like a ferocious demon? You all seem quite scared," the newcomer said with a chuckling smile, and it was none other than Lin Tian.

"You... how did you know we were on the rooftop?" Sun Decai stammered.

The plan to frame Lin Tian was his doing; he was understandably nervous, yet, upon recalling that he had left no evidence, he regained his composure.

"How do I know you’re on the rooftop? Good question, by asking that, are you implying that everything that happened downstairs was orchestrated by you?" Lin Tian said with a smirk.

Sun Decai’s face stiffened. He hadn’t expected Lin Tian to be so cunning as to make that connection, but he still denied it, "What are you talking about? I don’t know. We’re just here to watch the excitement."

"Really just here to watch the excitement? Not here to watch the show?" Lin Tian turned to Lai Xiucheng, still smiling.

"Of course we’re here to watch the excitement. It’s high up here; we can see everything clearly. There are too many people down below," Lai Xiucheng said casually, standing his ground under Lin Tian’s intense gaze.

"Don’t be nervous, I didn’t say it was you who did it," Lin Tian said with a smile, then directed his gaze to Bai Yufeng, "They’re here to enjoy the excitement. Second Young Master Bai, why aren’t you attending classes at your school and instead showing up at ours?"

"Where I go is none of your business," Bai Yufeng retorted with narrowed eyes.

"I don’t need to mind your business? Haha..." Lin Tian chuckled, then suddenly stepped closer to Bai Yufeng and punched him in the stomach. With a thud, Bai Yufeng was forced to stagger backward.

Although Lin Tian had controlled his strength, Bai Yufeng was still so pained that his face turned pale and he couldn’t straighten his waist.

"Why? Lin Tian, why did you hit me for no reason?" Bai Yufeng exclaimed, clutching his stomach.

Lin Tian smiled and said, "You came to watch me make a fool of myself, right? If I don’t hit you, who should I hit? And don’t take me for a fool. You all know very well what you have done. This punch wasn’t unwarranted."

"They watched too, so why only hit me?" Bai Yufeng said, looking completely innocent, feeling unjust since Sun Decai, the mastermind, wasn’t being hit while he, merely an onlooker, was.

"Maybe Second Young Master Bai isn’t aware, but Sun Hai and I recently made a deal. We are now collaborators, so it’s not good to hit his son; thus, I had to hit you," Lin Tian said half-truthfully.

Sun Hai and the Bai Family had long been covertly collaborating; Lin Tian had made this statement to create discord between them, inciting mutual suspicion.

As expected, Bai Yufeng’s brow furrowed, yet he still said in disbelief, "You and Sun Hai collaborating? You think I’m a three-year-old? I am perfectly aware of the enmity between you two."

"In the world of business, there are no eternal enemies, only eternal interests. If you still don’t believe me, you can ask Sun Decai here if I’m lying to you," Lin Tian said with a light smile.

Bai Yufeng squinted at Sun Decai and asked cautiously, "Is what Lin Tian saying true?"

Sun Decai clearly knew Lin Tian was sowing discord, yet he did not know how to explain. He hesitated, "My father does have a deal with him, but..."

"Sun, remember what your dad told you: our deal is top-secret. Don’t blab and spoil your dad’s important business," Lin Tian cut him off, deliberately reminding him.

The matter with the USB drive was a secret; Sun Hai certainly didn’t want too many people to know about it, and Lin Tian had seized upon this, as such half-truths would further sow distrust in the Bai Family.

"Very good, Sun Decai. You and Lin Tian continue your chat; I won’t be sticking around any longer. Goodbye." Bai Yufeng’s expression was very sour as he left the rooftop with a stiff face.
