Just as Lin Tian had dozed off, someone entered the room—it was Xiao Manxue. She was holding a set of clothes. Finding the bedroom empty and seeing the bathroom door ajar with the sound of water inside, Xiao Manxue hesitated before walking over.

When she reached the doorway, she saw Kikuchi Mika actually giving Lin Tian a bath. Although Lin Tian was submerged in the water with bubbles obscuring the view, it still seemed inappropriate.

Xiao Manxue’s face flushed with shock, "Lady Kikuchi, what are you doing?"

"I’m giving Brother Lin a bath," Kikuchi Mika turned and said matter-of-factly.

If Brother Lin hadn’t rescued me, my fate would’ve been the same. Brother Lin is my benefactor; I am willing to do anything for him, anything at all!" Kikuchi Mika’s voice was soft, even a little feeble, but utterly resolute.

Xiao Manxue sighed silently in her heart. Being a woman herself, she understood the feeling of being utterly alone and desperate; suddenly a powerful man appears before her, shattering everything she thought was invincible, rescuing her from a dire situation.

Since neither of them posed any danger to Lin Tian, he didn’t wake up throughout the entire process, sleeping like a log.

"Phew..." Xiao Manxue hefted Lin Tian onto the bed and let out a sigh of relief. Even though Lin Tian was covered with a bath towel, a certain area was conspicuously ********, causing Xiao Manxue’s face to immediately flush red after just one glance.

With the two women gone, the lights went off, and the room once again fell into silence.

"Damn, wasn’t I taking a bath? How did I end up in bed? That little girl Kikuchi Mika didn’t take advantage of me while I was asleep, did she?" Lin Tian shamelessly pondered.

While he was still in shock, the door was pushed open, and Lin Tian looked to see that it was Miss who walked in.

"Miss, what time is it now? How long have I been asleep?" Lin Tian asked.

"It’s already past noon. Since you were sleeping so soundly, we didn’t wake you," Xiao Manxue said, then placed what she was holding onto the table.

"You saw me sleeping soundly? Does that mean it was you who carried me to bed last night?" Lin Tian asked in surprise.

Xiao Manxue’s pretty face turned red, but she tried to act nonchalant as she said, "You weren’t wearing any clothes, why would I bother with you? It was that girl, Kikuchi Mika, who put you into bed all by herself."

She deliberately emphasized "by herself" as if afraid Lin Tian would find out. Lin Tian shook his head, amused, as he had already picked up the implied meaning and knew it was Miss who had carried him to the bed.

This little girl always called him a big pervert, but now she was willing to carry him to bed, Lin Tian felt this was quite good, Miss was indeed caring after all.

"Where is Second Miss?" Lin Tian didn’t bring up last night’s incident again; the little girl was thin-skinned and would get angry if much was said. However, he found it odd that he hadn’t heard Xiao Manxuan’s voice, as with her energy, she was usually the one who woke people up.

"She also went to bed quite late. She wanted to come down and see you when she knew you had returned, but I told her you were fast asleep, so she gave up. "And what about Lady Kikuchi?" Lin Tian asked next. The little nurse had always lived with the Sun Shadow Association, and having left that place to find herself with nothing—no relatives, no friends, not a place to call home—she must be feeling quite lost.

Xiao Manxue seemed to read Lin Tian’s thoughts, and with a smile, she said, "You don’t need to worry about her; she got up a while ago and insisted on doing your laundry. She wouldn’t take no for an answer."
