Chapter 681: Chapter 678: The Harvest Season (Part 2)
"Damn, Lin Tian, I take back what I just said. I really lived in vain," Thunder Wolf exaggeratedly said.
Lin Tian touched his nose and said, "Uh, I accidentally used too much strength."
Now, looking at the wreckage, he thought the scene was indeed a bit excessive, but Lin Tian was confident that if he were to fight now, the level of destruction would be more severe. Although only a few hours had passed, his strength had increased significantly.
Passing through the ruins of the main entrance, Lin Tian entered the greenhouse again. There were no staff members left, just one glass house after another. Although there were also many valuable items in these glass houses, Lin Tian’s target was not them. The storage room was the most valuable place.
Upon arriving outside the storage room, there was still a door that could only be opened with fingerprint recognition and a password.
"Lady Kikuchi, is there a way you can open this door?" Lin Tian turned to Kikuchi Mika and asked, as she was the only one among those present who had spent time at the shrine.
Kikuchi Mika shook her head apologetically and said, "I used to work at the laboratory, and even when I was in the greenhouse, I didn’t have the clearance. Access to the pharmaceutical storage requires the highest clearance in the greenhouse, only the first and second in charge have that clearance."
"Boss, you could probably break it open with a punch, right?" Stone said with some anticipation, curious to see what it would look like to blow open an alloy door with a fist.
"No, breaking it by force would damage the medicines inside," Ning Luoxi immediately vetoed.
After she spoke, she gestured backwards, and a warrior stepped forward from the line behind her.
"Wisewolf, can you hack the security on this door?" Ning Luoxi asked.
"I’ll give it a try," said the warrior who Ning Luoxi referred to as Wisewolf, examining the wall and door in front of him.
He stepped forward, placing his hand next to the door. A screen appeared and began to scan Wisewolf’s palm.
"Beep beep beep..." Suddenly, the screen flashed red and emitted a warning sound.
"Palm print does not match, access denied." A female voice announced, speaking in Japanese. Lin Tian only understood after using a translator.
"Brother Lin Tian, do me a favor and smash the screen," Wisewolf turned and said to Lin Tian.
Lin Tian didn’t know what Wisewolf was planning, but he walked over and punched the flashing screen. With a "bang," the screen shattered, and Lin Tian cleared away the fragments, revealing a circuit board underneath.
"Brother Lin Tian, your fists really are hard. This screen had three layers of protection; not even a sniper rifle could break it, but you did it with one punch," Wisewolf marveled as he inspected the broken gap.
"It’s nothing, my specialty is being tough," Lin Tian responded with a phrase all men would understand, eliciting a burst of laughter. Thunder Wolf’s teammates realized that although this young man was a powerhouse, he didn’t put on airs.
Wisewolf pulled out a tablet from his backpack and connected several wires to various points on the circuit board. Following that, Lin Tian couldn’t understand what was happening anymore.
But Wisewolf acted like a seasoned hacker from a blockbuster movie, constantly entering commands on the tablet.
A few minutes later, Wisewolf suddenly announced, "All set, I’ve tricked the palm print recognition system. Now we just need to crack the password."
"I know the password, I’ll handle it," Lin Tian said.
"You know it?" Wisewolf asked incredulously. Everyone else, including Ning Luoxi and the Heavenly Master Girl, also looked puzzled.
"Uh, didn’t we come in here once before? Miyajima Tairo entered the password, and I just happened to see it." Lin Tian said nonchalantly.
Ning Luoxi and the Heavenly Master Girl immediately understood. If Ancient Martial techniques could be learned in one glance, a password was certainly no issue.
Lin Tian entered a string of password on the tablet’s input field, and the gate made a "click click click" sound as it slowly opened.
This was Lin Tian’s second visit, so he moved with confidence into the warehouse. Following him, Thunder Wolf also entered and saw numerous cabinets filled with countless herbs.
"Damn, I’ve been duped! With so many herbs, we couldn’t move them all by morning. Brother Lin Tian, why didn’t you warn me..." Thunder Wolf cried out in misery.
Before he could continue, Lin Tian quickly gestured to Ning Luoxi, signaling him to be careful with his words.
Thunder Wolf then remembered he had confidently assured their instructor he would get the job done, immediately adopting a serious tone, "Even if it takes till morning, I guarantee the task will be completed!"
However, Lin Tian could tell that the guy was already crying inside.
"Stop whining. Contact five civilian helicopters immediately. You think you can move all this by hand in the middle of nowhere? Follow the orders!" Ning Luoxi commanded.
"Yes, guaranteed to complete the task!" Thunder Wolf responded loudly.
He finally breathed a sigh of relief. Without helicopters, even doubling the manpower wouldn’t be enough to move all the herbs from the storage warehouse. He didn’t need to calculate to know that the amount of herbs was certainly measured in tons. So, he actively started contacting the helicopters.
"Five helicopters to move stuff, it really is a harvest season indeed," Lin Tian said delightedly.
"Brother Lin, there are actually a few more places here that you might find interesting," Kikuchi Mika said happily, seeing Lin Tian’s cheerful face.
"Oh, which places?" Lin Tian asked curiously, and the others also turned to look at Kikuchi Mika, who had been with the Shrine and surely knew of its valuables.
"There are a few important places here. Come see, the computers in the storage room can access the Shrine’s server, which contains the blueprints of the Shrine," Kikuchi Mika explained.
The group gathered around as Kikuchi Mika searched for the Shrine’s blueprints on the computer. Pointing at them, she said, "We are here now, the laboratory is here, and it stores Lord Gu. Oh, Oda Manaka’s research materials on Gu techniques, Granny Li and Miss Li Yue would probably be interested in them."
"Really?" Li Yue exclaimed excitedly, even Li Qingyun’s eyes showed surprise; they were more interested in Gu techniques than in money, as could be seen from their devout worship of the Gu God.
"Really. Besides the laboratory, there’s also an armory storing all sorts of firearms, both hot and cold. It includes the world’s most advanced sniper rifles and some special equipment, like night vision goggles," Kikuchi Mika continued.
As for the weapons, Thunder Wolf and the others weren’t very interested. Even if they got them, they couldn’t use them and would have to return to their country afterward.
"Near the armory, there’s another important site, the treasury," Kikuchi Mika continued, seeing that the crowd wasn’t interested in weapons.
"A treasury?" Lin Tian was briefly puzzled, then delighted. Compared to weapons, money was more tangible, and since he was currently starting a business, money was indeed useful.
"Is it stored in US dollars or euros?" Stone asked curiously, voicing everyone’s concern.
"Both should be there, but I haven’t been. I’ve heard the treasury stores mostly gold and jewels," Kikuchi Mika answered.
