Chapter 676: Chapter 673: Benefits

Feibai seemed to hear Demon Blade’s words, turned around, looked at the Demon Blade, and said, "With the nuisance gone, Lin Tian, you can hand over the Demon Blade to me now."

"Kid, I’m not going with him, never hand me over to him." Before Lin Tian could speak, Demon Blade hurriedly spoke first, its tone very anxious as if it were afraid of Feibai.

"Oh, the Demon Blade hasn’t controlled you, it looks like you have some tricks up your sleeve," Feibai said in surprise, for he had heard the Demon Blade actually begging Lin Tian. If it had been controlling Lin Tian, the Demon Blade could have just run away on its own.

"It’s nothing, just a Soul Suppressing Spell," Heavenly Master Girl said.

"Who are you?" Feibai turned his head to look at Heavenly Master Girl and said, "Don’t say yet, let me guess. Lin Tian is from Huaxia, and you look like Lin Tian’s friend, probably also from Huaxia. And since you know Daoist arts, you’re not Onmyoji from Japan but a Demon Exorcist from Huaxia, am I right?"

"Correct, but what are you? You give me a very uncomfortable feeling," Heavenly Master Girl frowned and said. She asked Feibai what he was, not who he was, a significant difference.

"You will find out," Feibai did not answer directly.

"Lin Tian, you can’t hand me over to him," Demon Blade cried out again.

"Stop nagging, I need not your counsel on how to act," Lin Tian shouted, then turned to Feibai and said, "You want the Demon Blade, fine, I’ll give you a chance, defeat me and it’s yours."

Feibai shook his head and replied, "You’re no match for me."

"A fight is still needed," Lin Tian firmly stated.

"Alright, I’ll indulge you," Feibai said bluntly, then lunged towards Lin Tian. His steps seemed simple, but he appeared in front of Lin Tian in the blink of an eye and threw an unadorned punch.

"Meteor Burst!"

Even knowing how powerful Feibai was, Lin Tian was unafraid and launched his fist as well. The moment the two fists collided, there was a thunderous crash, and the stone steps beneath Feibai instantly shattered, yet he did not take a single step back. Lin Tian, however, was blasted away, crashing violently into the rock wall.

This time, he didn’t embed in it but blew a big hole in the entire rock wall, burying himself inside the hole, feeling as though a tank had rolled over him back and forth hundreds of times, far more powerful than the previous blow from Fierce Bear.

Lin Tian moved his fingers, only to find the Demon Blade was gone, not knowing whether it dropped during the blow or had been taken away.

It took a while before Lin Tian fully recovered, a phenomenon he had never experienced. Since becoming a zombie, no one had ever beaten him like this, just one punch had utterly defeated him.

Lin Tian spat out a mouthful of saliva harshly and jumped out from the hole, landing on the ground. He looked back at the previous spot; Feibai was still standing there, with the Demon Blade in his hand.

"Lin Tian, are you alright?" Ning Luoxi asked with some concern—a concern not only that Lin Tian might be severely injured, but also that Lin Tian might not be able to handle the defeat, as she had never seen Lin Tian lose so fast.

"Not dead yet, today I realized I was just a frog in a well, thinking myself invincible. Now, it seems like a joke," Lin Tian said self-mockingly.

"You still need to grow; right now, you’re no match for me," Feibai said meaningfully.

Lin Tian frowned slightly, sensing something in his words, and squinted, "What do you mean by that?"

"You should know what I’m saying," Xu Feibai said with a faint smile.

Xu Feibai paused and added, "Well, since it seems like the Demon Blade was unsealed by you, it would be unfair for me to just take it away. State your terms; I’ll try to meet them if I can."

"Are you trying to offer me some benefits as compensation?" Lin Tian asked in return.

"Benefits? Oh, right, that’s the idea. What kind of benefits would you like?" Xu Feibai startled slightly, almost failing to grasp Lin Tian’s words, but he finally caught on.

In fact, Lin Tian didn’t quite like the Demon Blade because it was styled like a Japanese sword. Using a Japanese sword as a weapon felt awkward to him, as a proud Huaxia man; it just didn’t seem right to use their sword.

The only benefit of the Japanese sword was its ability to absorb Spiritual Energy, but Lin Tian guessed that the chance of encountering Shishen again was slim, making the Demon Blade more of a hindrance than a help. It might be better to exchange it for some other benefits.

He never made a losing deal, even if this Xu Feibai was potent. He still needed to squeeze out some benefits.

What to ask for? Should he ask for a helicopter to play around with? Unfortunately, he couldn’t fly one, and he’d need to find a pilot, which would be troublesome, so Lin Tian dismissed that idea.

Xu Feibai had shown up with five helicopters, definitely indicating wealth, so why not ask for something tangible, like a few hundred million? But asking for money seemed somewhat unprofitable, so Lin Tian dismissed that idea as well.

"It seems you haven’t quite decided what benefits you want; how about I decide for us?" Seeing Lin Tian distressed, Xu Feibai suggested.

Although it was phrased as a suggestion, there was no hint of soliciting an opinion in his tone, but Lin Tian didn’t mind; he was curious to see what kind of benefits the impressive Xu Feibai could offer.

Xu Feibai turned to glance at Oda Manaka and the others, his gaze eventually resting on Ghost Princess, who was inhabiting the body of a Japanese Ninja. His profound gaze seemed to see through everything about Ghost Princess.

Feeling Xu Feibai’s stare, Ghost Princess involuntarily shivered and subconsciously retreated a few steps, seemingly about to flee.

"Half Zombies are not for you to possess. Come back," Xu Feibai said softly. Then he suddenly appeared in front of Ghost Princess and grasped her neck in one swift motion, leaving her completely powerless to resist.

"No, I can’t... if you destroy Half Zombie, I will dissipate into smoke," Ghost Princess said in terror.

"This is the fate of a Shishen; you cannot change it. Accept your fate," Xu Feibai said, seemingly sympathetic, yet his words were utterly cold.

"No..." Ghost Princess attempted a final resistance, but before she could act, Xu Feibai struck her heart with a palm.

From a distance, Lin Tian could hear the sound of the Half Zombie’s heart shattering, which spoke volumes of the heart’s resilience and Xu Feibai’s precise palm force.

With the death of the Half Zombie’s body, Ghost Princess fell silent; a red light flew out of the Half Zombie’s right eye, not touching the ground but instead flying directly away, attempting to escape.

"It’s useless," Xu Feibai sighed coldly. He leaped up, scooped up the orb of red light into his palm.

The red light emitted a buzzing sound, darting left and right within Xu Feibai’s palm, yet it could not escape.

Without a glance, Xu Feibai lightly squeezed, the red light emitted a scream of agony, then vanished, extinguishing Ghost Princess in a manner that revealed Xu Feibai’s ruthless cold-bloodedness beneath his benevolent smile.
