Chapter 674: Chapter 671: A Grand Entrance
The person standing by the helicopter’s cabin door wasn’t wearing any descent gear and, under the shocked gazes of everyone, stepped out and unsurprisingly fell from the height.
"Damn, show off and fall to your death!" the Demon Blade hummed unpleasantly, evidently annoyed that someone had made a more spectacular and attention-grabbing entrance than him and was even more arrogant; he was clearly very irritated.
"Broken blade, not everyone is as dumb as you!" Lin Tian said with great disdain.
The helicopter was hovering at least a few hundred meters high. When the man fell, he was blocked outside the Barrier. However, he didn’t fall clumsily onto the Barrier, but stood steadily on it, looking as if he was floating in mid-air from the ground.
Being able to stand firmly on the Barrier was no simple feat, and the Demon Blade was suddenly at a loss for words. The other people were even more astonished, wondering what kind of background this suddenly appearing person had, who made such a lavish entrance with five helicopters and seemed to have no lack of strength!
"Who dares to invade my Barrier, seeking death!" Guizhong Yilang shouted loudly, looking up at the person in the sky.
No sooner had he spoken than the person above moved; he seemed to gently stomp his foot, and with a "pop," the Barrier cracked under his stomp like an eggshell. The entire Barrier flickered a few times and was about to disappear.
"My Barrier... Impossible, impossible! My Barrier’s sturdiness is comparable to a prison’s, how could it break with just a stomp, why did this happen?" Guizhong Yilang shook his head incredulously, constantly questioning himself, but no one could give him an answer.
Lin Tian was shocked. What level of power was this? To break the Barrier with a single stomp, when he himself had struggled to break it with all his energy.
Several levels higher than mine! Lin Tian concluded in shock, something unprecedented. Since he became a zombie, he had never encountered someone with such a drastic difference in power, too strong!
Ning Luoxi and the three other girls also turned to look at Lin Tian, and he understood their meaning. He honestly replied, "Don’t bother asking. I used all my strength just now to break the Barrier, and this man did it effortlessly with a single stomp. His power level is definitely enough to easily defeat me."
"It’s unknown whether this person is friend or foe. If an enemy, we are more likely unlucky than not," Ning Luoxi said softly.
"Don’t be disheartened. He broke Guizhong Yilang’s Barrier right after appearing. At least he is not on Guizhong’s side, and might even be his enemy. The enemy of an enemy is a friend. From the current situation, his position is even more disadvantageous." Lin Tian said calmly, taking it quite philosophically.
He even felt a bit excited. Since becoming a zombie, he finally met someone stronger than himself, which was something to be happy about, even brewing a fighting spirit inside, thinking that one who fears death doesn’t deserve to be a zombie.
Lin Tian’s words made Guizhong Yilang’s face turn sour; his thoughts were identical to Lin Tian’s, finding the situation tremendously unfavorable to himself.
The Barrier in the sky flickered one last time and finally disappeared. With no Barrier in the way, the man from several hundred meters high plummeted down.
A man over a hundred pounds falling from several hundred meters, the kinetic energy generated was comparable to a missile explosion.
With a loud "boom," the man violently crashed onto the stone steps, the ground shook continuously, dust rose, and debris flew everywhere, obscuring the view of those outside.
"He couldn’t have died, could he, falling from such a height?" Li Yue whispered.
"No, without certainty, who would jump from such a high place, unless they were crazy," Lin Tian stated confidently.
"Maybe he really is crazy," Li Yue boldly analyzed.
Lin Tian glanced at her, thinking to himself, it’s your brain that’s gone bad. Could anyone aware of the Barrier be crazy?
No one made any rash moves, because the man’s entrance was too grand, too heart-shaking. When the night wind finally dispersed the dust, the man’s true face was revealed.
The man stood on the ground, or more accurately, in a pit that he himself had created.
Lin Tian felt an incredibly strange sensation upon first seeing him, something indescribable and elusive. The man’s face appeared very young, probably in his twenties, yet his eyes were deep and even carried a bit of worldly weariness, which contradicted his youthful appearance.
One thing was certain, he was an Asian male with black eyes, yellow skin, and long black hair that fell to his shoulders.
He wasn’t particularly handsome, but he was definitely not ugly either. He even had an air of classical charm, very appealing. He wore casual clothes, and oddly, his garments were free of any dust. His height was roughly 1.7 meters.
At a height close to 1.8 meters, Lin Tian was pretty sure he wasn’t Japanese.
Japanese men generally tend to be shorter, with shorter limbs—no, Lin Tian thought, all five limbs short. Japanese women were generally petite, though they had one advantage: their breasts were generally larger, comparable in size to Western women.
Feeling Lin Tian sizing him up, the man turned his head, looking at Lin Tian with a meaningful smile playing at the corner of his lips.
"Lin Tian? You know him?" the Heavenly Master Girl asked with a slight frown, feeling uneasy ever since the man had descended from the sky.
"I don’t know him. How would I know someone so impressive?" Lin Tian denied.
"Then why did he smile at you?" Li Yue asked curiously.
"How should I know? Maybe he thinks I’m handsome. You know, good-looking people often attract others more easily." Lin Tian said with a self-loving shrug, which unsurprisingly earned him several amorous rolls of the eyes from the women.
"Are you from Huaxia?"
"Did you come from Huaxia?"
Lin Tian and the newcomer asked the same question and then shared a laugh; Lin Tian nodded and said, "That’s right, I’m from Huaxia. You are too, right?"
"Well, I lived in Japan for a very long time, um, a very long time indeed, but undoubtedly, I have Huaxian blood running through my veins," the man answered Lin Tian. When he mentioned the length of time, his eyes seemed to pass over a cloud of smoke, looking far off.
"What’s your name?" Lin Tian asked.
"Xu Feibai. And you?" the man responded promptly.
"Lin Tian, the Lin of Lin Tian, the Tian of Lin Tian." Lin Tian joked.
The man who called himself Xu Feibai chuckled and said, "You’re quite interesting."
"I have a friend named Xu too, Xu Ying. She’s Miss’s personal secretary, always dressed in business attire. Do you know her?" Lin Tian casually mentioned.
Xu Feibai shook his head, and said, "I don’t know her, but perhaps I’ve lived too long and forgotten some people."
Two strangers, yet conversing like friends on the most ordinary subjects, had an air of the friendship of gentlemen, which was as pure as water—a feeling that perplexed the others present. What was the relationship between Lin Tian and this Xu Feibai who had fallen from the sky?
