Chapter 532: Chapter 529: Defeat You, Then Heal You!
"Being suppressed in the fight and still hoping to end it quickly, he’s looking to lose fast." Sun Decai sneered; he had only practiced Taekwondo, and even his black belt ranking was somewhat inflated. He couldn’t comprehend the true nature of the combat before him.
Bai Yuze also laughed, "Isn’t it great if he loses? If he loses, the collaboration between the Xiao Family and the Ou Family will fall through, which precisely aligns with our wishes, doesn’t it?"
"Mr. Yuze is right, considering Lin Tian is arrogant and full of pride, his defeat is well-deserved," Futian Shenyi added.
Among those present, only a few were knowledgeable in martial arts, and many shared Bai Yuze’s sentiments.
"Boss, this is someone your friend brought over. I won’t take responsibility if things get broken," Stone said, ignoring the opinions of the group and speaking to Lin Tian.
"Enough, Stone. Even if you wanted to take responsibility, the beauty wouldn’t accept it. Hurry up and stop jabbering," Lin Tian shouted.
The two previously expressionless female bodyguards now showed signs of anger on their faces, provoked by the conversation between Lin Tian and the others.
"Hmph!" Both of them let out a snort. In literature, there is no definite first, and in martial arts, no definitive second. Anyone who practiced martial arts would be dissatisfied with the dialogue they just heard.
Stone didn’t care about their dissatisfaction. Since Lin Tian had ordered him to finish the fight, he would execute the command unconditionally.
He moved, hunching his back like a wild wolf and charging at the two women. Yue Ying was in the forefront and bore the brunt of his assault. She threw a powerful punch at the approaching Stone, her fury lending extra strength to her attack.
This time Stone didn’t dodge; he caught her fist directly, and before she could react, executed a Bone-breaking Hand. Yue Ying grunted and retreated at high speed, her arm now dangling and her combat effectiveness halved.
Meng Ying, who was two steps behind, rushed forward to aid her, but it was too late—Yue Ying had already been beaten back. After repelling Yue Ying, Stone confronted the supporting Meng Ying with a series of combination punches, each blow fierce and whistling through the air.
Meng Ying could only defend; now she understood the sheer power behind Stone’s punches.
"Lie down for me!" Stone shouted lowly, a punch blowing through Meng Ying’s guard, followed by a hand-chopping strike on her neck. She managed to let out a muffled grunt before collapsing.
"Meng Ying!" Yue Ying called out, intending to disregard her injured arm and attack Stone with her legs.
"Yue Ying, back off!" But Ou Qinglan promptly ordered her to stop the attack.
Yue Ying glared at Stone, and though reluctant, she didn’t defy Ou Qinglan’s command, retreating. Those who had been skeptical of Stone were now astounded—they couldn’t fathom how someone apparently at a disadvantage could suddenly turn the tables and snatch victory.
"Stone, you can go back too," Lin Tian said, signaling Stone to withdraw as well.
Lin Tian walked into the middle of the area, crouched down in front of the unconscious Meng Ying, and removed the gold thread from his wrist, preparing to revive her.
"What are you going to do?" Yue Ying had never seen someone use gold thread to perform acupuncture and couldn’t help but interject.
Ou Qinglan approached, patted her shoulder, and assured, "Don’t worry, this is an ancient Acupuncture Skill. If you’re not an acupuncture master, you wouldn’t be able to use this ancient gold thread."
"Miss Ou, you seem to be quite knowledgeable, recognizing even this type of gold thread," Lin Tian remarked with a smile. Such gold thread was only recorded in ancient texts, not something everyone would understand.
"Actually, I’ve never seen it myself—once my grandfather invited an old doctor for acupuncture, and that doctor briefly mentioned this kind of gold thread and its corresponding Acupuncture Skill," Ou Qinglan modestly replied.
Lin Tian nodded and, without saying another word, picked up the golden thread and slowly pierced it towards the Bai Hui acupoint on Meng Ying’s head.
Meng Ying was merely knocked unconscious, so it didn’t take much effort for Lin Tian. After flicking the golden thread a few times, Meng Ying regained consciousness.
"Miss Meng Ying, my brother knocked you out with his punch. I hope you won’t hold it against him," Lin Tian said.
"I was no match for you, there’s nothing more to say. It’s just Yue Ying’s hand..." Meng Ying was straightforward in accepting defeat, but she appeared concerned about her companion’s hand.
"No need to worry, let me take a look at her," Lin Tian said confidently.
The onlookers were surprised to see that Lin Tian could perform medical treatments; some admired him, while naturally, others were jealous.
Qi Jing looked at Lin Tian and whispered, "How come I didn’t know he could practice medicine?"
"What’s the matter, Xiao Jing? Are you regretting that you gave up such an outstanding man? With high martial arts skills, remarkable medical skills, and now quite wealthy—do you wish to return to Lin Tian’s embrace?" Sun Decai said with a sarcastic tone, his voice tinged with both jealousy and resentment.
Qi Jing did not respond but simply lowered her head, apparently deep in thought. However, the more silent she grew, the angrier Sun Decai became, and his gaze towards Lin Tian grew even darker.
Lin Tian approached Yue Ying, pretended to take her pulse, but in reality, he observed her arm with his x-ray vision. Yue Ying did not resist; she could feel that Lin Tian meant no harm, and his earlier display of acupuncture skill had indeed given her confidence.
"Miss Yue Ying, your arm is dislocated, which is why you can’t move it right now. However, that’s not a big issue. The main problem is that you’ve been struck by a Bone Shattering technique, and your arm’s muscles and tendons are bruised. I’m afraid you’ll need about half a month of recovery," Lin Tian said gravely, pretending to be experienced.
"Half a month? My duty is to protect the young lady; how can I guard her if my arm is out of use for half a month?" Yue Ying said anxiously.
Lin Tian noticed that Yue Ying did not address her charge as Miss Ou, but simply as ’the young lady’, which, though just a single word shorter, carried a significantly different meaning.
Outsiders would refer to her as Miss Ou, but those within the clan would simply say ’the young lady’, reminiscent of how a servant from ancient times would address their mistress.
It seemed she was no ordinary bodyguard—she might be a personal guard or something similar, Lin Tian surmised.
"Yue Ying, there’s no need to worry. It’s most important for you to recover well," Ou Qinglan said, comforting her.
At this moment, the women of the Xiao Family approached, and Mrs. Xiao said to Ou Qinglan, "Miss Ou, why not let Lin Tian treat her? I used to suffer from a shoulder and neck pain, and Lin Tian cured it with just one treatment."
Mrs. Xiao had a motive for her suggestion. Although it was only a martial contest, their own person had injured the opponent’s guard; handling the situation poorly could leave grievances on both sides. But if Lin Tian could heal the injury, it would actually strengthen their relationship.
Defeat them, then heal them—employing both a soft and a hard approach. Even if Ou Qinglan was prideful, she would be somewhat subdued.
"Oh, I am somewhat aware of Mrs. Xiao’s shoulder and neck pain. It seems that you’ve endured a lot since leaving the Li Family, but the fact that Lin Tian was able to heal it in one go is indeed surprising. Given that, why not let him treat her?" Ou Qinglan said, clearly surprised.
Although Ou Qinglan was of the younger generation, she was aware of the circumstances under which Li Xinyi left the Li Family—after all, the circle of the wealthy was not very large.
Moreover, to some extent, Mrs. Xiao was the idol of many wealthy daughters because she had dared to break free from a family-arranged marriage, taking control of her own marital fate—a dream for many children of wealthy families.
