Chapter 306 - 305: Death
Chapter 306: Chapter 305: Death
"Nanhu Villa District..." Lin Tian muttered to himself as he looked at the text message, a cold smile curling up the corners of his mouth.
He opened the car door, restarted the vehicle, and instead of driving into the garage, Lin Tian turned around and drove onto the road outside; soon, he disappeared into the night.
Just then, the gates of the Xiao Mansion creaked open, and two beautiful figures appeared outside. One of them was Xiao Manxuan, who had returned, and the other was Xiao Manxue.
"Sister, do you think Lin Tian would do that?" Xiao Manxuan no longer showed the embarrassment from before but, instead, appeared calm, her eyes following the direction Lin Tian had vanished into.
"Although I have not seen what state Zuo Xing’er’s uncle is in, and you have not described it in detail, I can tell from your brief words that man must have had a brush with death. Such an incident, having encountered Lin Tian, and given his temperament, perhaps tonight will be a night of slaughter!" Xiao Manxue, also looking towards the distant highway, whispered, but at the end of her words, a chilling intent arose.
"He’s always like this, not letting me know about these things, but I could feel his anger when I was in the intensive care unit," Xiao Manxuan said softly, lowering her eyes.
"Let’s go back. He won’t be in danger. With his level in the Ancient Martial Realm, even if my master came, he wouldn’t gain any advantage, and someone who could threaten him is yet to appear," Xiao Manxue said as she took her sister’s hand, a slight smile inadvertently appearing at the corner of her mouth.
In the same villa district, on the top floor of a villa, Zhang Lingyu stood at the highest point, facing outward of the villa district. Her short skirt fluttered up and down with the night breeze. With each gust that lifted her skirt, her fair, long legs were fully revealed, her smooth skin shimmering under the moonlight, a view that could leave any man transfixed.
However, at this moment, Zhang Lingyu was oblivious to the exposure of her charms, her gaze fixated on the direction of the highway, as if the familiar armored vehicle that just passed was still in sight.
"If Xiao Manxuan, that girl, could detect your ire, did you think I wouldn’t notice? Humph, you intentionally sent us all away, such a self-righteous guy!" Zhang Lingyu muttered to herself, inwardly cursing Lin Tian over a dozen times.
...
On the highway, Lin Tian was driving when he suddenly "Achoo!" sneezed.
"Damn, zombies sneezing now? Could it be someone’s talking about me again?" Lin Tian rubbed his nose, talking to himself.
It was now close to midnight, the streets were almost empty, and Lin Tian controlled the steering wheel, driving in the direction he came from. Not yet at Nanhu Villa, Lin Tian stopped the car prematurely in a nearly deserted area.
There was still some distance to Nanhu Villa, and Lin Tian got out of the car and walked; although he was on foot, his pace was even faster than when driving.
Soon reaching the side of the villa’s perimeter wall, Lin Tian slightly released his energy. In less than a minute, a bat flew swiftly through the darkness.
After a cloud of black smoke, Rossi stood before him, and Lin Tian asked in a low voice, "Which villa?"
"Number eighty-eight, right at the very back of Nanhu," Rossi replied, bowing slightly in respect.
"Rippling waters, shady trees, such a nice place, what a shame. I guess after tonight, Sister, you’ll probably have to move," Lin Tian mumbled to himself, paying no attention to Rossi.
Rossi did not know who the ’Sister’ Lin Tian was referring to, and although he was curious about what kind of person could be his master’s senior, he did not ask since Lin Tian had not elaborated.
"Let’s go!" Lin Tian called out softly. His voice was still lingering outside, but he had already casually leaped over the wall and into the villa district.
The cameras on the wall were nothing but decorations to Lin Tian, as his speed of movement was so fast that the cameras couldn’t capture even a shadow.
Following the narrow path along the lakeside of Nanhu, Lin Tian dashed swiftly, his figure as elusive as a specter, appearing dozens of meters away after just a few flickers, as if he had the ability to shrink distances. Rossi followed closely behind Lin Tian, maintaining high-speed pursuit.
"Number eighty-eight, we’re here," Lin Tian said as he stopped in front of a villa, without looking back.
"Brother Tian, I’ve confirmed it, Cui Haolong is inside the villa, and he’s not alone," Rossi reported in a low voice from behind.
"Oh? There’s more than one person?" Lin Tian subconsciously thought that Sister Jin might also be inside the villa.
However, it didn’t matter who was inside; their fate was already sealed. A cold light flashed in Lin Tian’s eyes, then with a leap from the ground, he was already on the top floor of the villa, rendering the external security systems completely useless.
Lin Tian descended the stairway, activating his X-ray vision at the same time. His gaze penetrated through multiple layers of walls, scanning the entire villa. At last, he saw Cui Haolong in the villa’s ground-floor hall.
Indeed, there was more than one person. Aside from Cui Haolong, Lin Tian also spotted nine other men, all male, with Sister Jin conspicuously absent from the villa. The ten men gathered in the hall, carousing and drinking heavily, loudly exclaiming with enthusiasm. The scene was boisterous inside, yet outside the villa, it was silent, the sound isolation was exceptionally good.
"Brother Long, try some of this, it’s good stuff," a bald man waved a packet in front of Cui Haolong.
However, Cui Haolong just smiled, his beady eyes shining with an inexplicable glow, and said, "You all enjoy it, don’t mind me. Lin Tian, I let you have your fill, go ahead and indulge."
So these guys were indulging in that substance, no wonder they were holed up here. Lin Tian saw the object in Bald’s hand and couldn’t help but sneer. Cui Haolong was cunning enough not to partake, yet he let his underlings do so.
Upon hearing Cui Haolong’s words, greed flashed in Bald’s eyes, his face lighting up with an excited grin.
"Haha, Brother Long, we’re just helping you beat someone up, and you surprise us brothers with such a big treat, that’s really nice of you," Bald laughed loudly.
"As long as you are dedicated to helping me with my business, I won’t let you down," Cui Haolong said with a nonchalant smile.
Another shirtless hoodlum came over, chuckling, "That bastard Zuo deserved to cross Brother Long, he had it coming. But his niece, she’s pretty enticing. If we kidnap her, hehe..." The young man laughed with undisguised lust in his eyes.
"Hehe, seems like you’re having quite the good time," Lin Tian walked down the stairs, appearing in front of Cui Haolong, and said with a sneer.
"You... how are you in my villa?" Out of all present, Cui Haolong was the soberest; he was the first to notice Lin Tian, and, scared stiff, his legs went weak, and he stuttered as he sat down in a chair.
While he recognized Lin Tian and Rossi, the others didn’t. The shirtless ruffian, seeing an intruder, immediately showed a fierce light in his eyes.
"Are you seeking death? Do you think this is a place you can just barge into?" the hoodlum shouted loudly, charging forward to grab Lin Tian by the collar.
"Die!" Lin Tian uttered coldly, suddenly grabbing the man’s head with a fierce grip.
"Ugh..." The shirtless hoodlum couldn’t even put up a fight before blood and mucus oozed from his mouth and nose, and he was lifeless within a minute.
