"Open the door, if you don’t open it now, we’re calling the police," came the anxious voice of a nurse from outside, the knocking persistent.

"Zhang, what’s going on? Is it the camera that’s been discovered?" Lin Tian frowned as he looked up at the surveillance camera and said.

Zhang Lingyu frowned and thought for a moment before saying, "It must be. The time was too pressing just now, I just switched the order of the surveillance screens so the camera in here wouldn’t show up on the monitors. Someone might have been on rounds and noticed the problem, then saw us through the camera."

Zhang Lingyu had done well to get this far, and Lin Tian couldn’t blame her, but Zuo Hongyi’s injury hadn’t been treated successfully; the emergency procedure they had performed earlier only improved the blood oxygen supply to the brain, the blood clot was still in his brain.

"Go open the door," Lin Tian glanced at Zhang Lingyu, signaling her to do so.

Zhang Lingyu went to open the door, and as soon as she did, five or six people pushed their way in—a mix of doctors, nurses, and security personnel. The person leading the group was wearing a white coat, likely the night shift doctor since the day shift had already ended.

The doctor looked to be in his forties with small eyes and thin lips, his gaze shifty when he looked at people, clearly someone difficult to get along with.

The junior nurse rushed in first to check Zuo Hongyi’s monitoring equipment, while the middle-aged doctor and three security guards stood in the middle of the room, glaring at Lin Tian with annoyance.

The middle-aged doctor gestured and shouted, "Everyone but Miss Zuo, get them under control. Don’t let any of them get away. How dare they cause trouble in the hospital, hmph!"

The three security guards, upon receiving the order, bypassed the doctor and charged at Lin Tian, Xiao Manxuan, and Zhang Lingyu.

"Stop, they are all my friends, and you can’t arrest them!" Zuo Xing’er yelled, frantic as she saw the situation escalate.

The three security guards were specifically assigned to the VIP protection area on the sixth floor and recognized Zuo Xing’er, aware of her status, hesitated, unsure of what to do next, and turned to look back at the middle-aged doctor.

"What are you standing around for, hurry up and control those three. If other VIPs find out that just anyone can barge in here, our hospital’s reputation will be ruined," the middle-aged doctor growled at the security guards.

He wasn’t concerned about Zuo Hongyi’s condition; as soon as he entered, he thought first of the hospital’s reputation. He didn’t care that it was an ICU and wanted to arrest people on the spot without considering if it would affect the patients.

The security guards took the command and once again advanced on Lin Tian and his companions. Lin Tian stood at the forefront, bearing the brunt as one guard reached out to grab his shoulder first.

"I’d advise you to keep your distance," Lin Tian said indifferently, ignoring the hand reaching for him.

But the security guard likewise disregarded Lin Tian’s advice, a contemptuous smile on his face. In his opinion, Lin Tian was not even twenty, and he could restrain him with one hand.

The security guard’s hand grasped Lin Tian’s shoulder, but when he tried to pull back, he found he couldn’t budge it at all.

"Hmph..." Lin Tian grunted softly, grabbing the guard’s wrist with a slight press. Unable to withstand Lin Tian’s strength, the guard immediately dropped to his knees.

The two other security guards charged at Xiao Manxuan and Zhang Lingyu, but there was no need to worry about Zhang Lingyu. With her skills, another ten security guards would be useless.

Lin Tian’s figure shifted, moving in front of Xiao Manxuan. The security guard was taken aback, wondering why this youth was still free. Wasn’t he supposed to be under control?

However, as the man had already rushed over, there was no time for the guard to think, and he reached out to subdue Lin Tian. But just as his hand was halfway extended, he felt a great force on his shoulder that his legs simply couldn’t support, and he went down on his knees.

At this time, Lin Tian’s hand was pressing on his shoulder. The guard who had attacked Zhang Lingyu was already kneeling on the ground, clutching his arm and crying out in pain. Lin Tian hadn’t injured the guards but only made them back down. The orders had all been given by the middle-aged doctor.

In less than thirty seconds, all three security guards were subdued. The middle-aged doctor clearly couldn’t accept such a reality, his face full of shock. In his eyes, it should be easy to subdue a youngster, but now his own people were easily subdued instead.

"You... you not only trespassed into the intensive care unit but also assaulted the security guards; you’re utterly lawless," the middle-aged doctor stammered after regaining his composure.

"Doctor, I told you, all three of them are my friends, and they came to treat my uncle," Zuo Xing’er ran to Lin Tian’s side and angrily said, regretting that Lin Tian had been misunderstood, and she was also annoyed with the meddlesome doctor.

"Treatment? I saw everything on the surveillance video just now. Is messing around like that called treatment? "What is your status, am I the doctor or are you? Who gave you the authority to lecture me? I don’t need a layman teaching me how to do my job!" The middle-aged doctor, having hit a sore spot, furiously roared, his voice several times louder than before.

Just as he finished speaking, a woman walked in from outside, it was Zhong Huiyun, probably brought by a nurse.

Immediately, the middle-aged doctor turned to Ms. Zhong and said, "Ms. Zhong, I need to inform you of a very serious matter. Just now this young man sneaked into the intensive care unit and made a mess, claiming he was treating Mr. Zuo. Now I can’t guarantee that Mr. Zuo hasn’t deteriorated, and if he has, it’s all due to his actions."

Zhong Huiyun frowned and looked at the busy nurses, then turned to Zuo Xing’er and asked, "Xing’er, is what the doctor said true? Did Mr. Lin just come in to treat your uncle?"

Zuo Xing’er believed that Lin Tian’s treatment was all at her own request, and if her aunt misunderstood him because of it, she would feel very sorry for her Brother Lin, nearly crying out in her urgency.

"Don’t worry, there won’t be any issues," Lin Tian patted her shoulder, comforting her.

"Xing’er, stop talking for now, let’s wait for the nurse to finish the examination," Ms. Zhong said with a frown, not looking at Lin Tian and appearing quite displeased with him.

However, after the nurse examined for a long time with no results, the middle-aged doctor was about to lash out at the nurse when several people walked in from outside. Leading them was a doctor with white-speckled hair, but beside the doctor was a mature and charming woman. Lin Tian looked at her and was stunned.
