Chapter 271: Chapter 270: Bar Profitability
Ma Xiangrong, a man who used to mess around in the underworld, had offended who knows how many people. With a broken leg and without the protection of those rich second-generation kids, his old enemies came knocking on his door, and you didn’t need to think to know that his end was certainly miserable.
When you’re involved in the underworld, you always have to pay your dues, and unfortunately for you, you ran into me, I’m your terminator, Lin Tian thought to himself.
"Brother Tian, I’ll head out then," Rossi didn’t say much else, just nodded and left.
"Second Miss, why are you looking at me like that? Do you think I’m a bad person for doing this?" Lin Tian waved his hand in front of her and chuckled.
"No, not at all, I know you’re actually a good person. You’re never soft on the bad guys, yet you’re loyal and righteous to your friends. If someone like Lin Tian is considered a bad person, then I wish there were more ’bad people’ like Lin Tian in this world," Xiao Manxuan looked at Lin Tian seriously as she spoke.
Uh, why does this statement sound so familiar? It seemed like he had heard it somewhere before. That’s right, Miss had said the same thing in the bar. Lin Tian couldn’t help but wonder if these sisters had some kind of telepathic superpowers, saying the same thing, in the same place, and both times it moved him deeply.
"Heh heh, Second Miss, if the world was full of Lin Tians, who would you like then? Too many choices can be a headache," Lin Tian chuckled and asked the same question.
"You... you’re so thick-skinned," the little girl blushed, turned away from Lin Tian, but as she turned, she whispered in a voice only she could hear, "I don’t care how many Lin Tians there are, I just like you alone!"
"Er, Second Miss, what did you say? Could you whisper it to me?" Lin Tian suddenly leaned in close and asked softly in Xiao Manxuan’s ear.
Just as Xiao Manxuan turned around, she felt Lin Tian’s breath suddenly close to her, the airflow from his speaking tickling her ear. She felt her cheeks heating up, and she covered her face and ran off on her own.
Having run a distance, Xiao Manxuan turned back to glare at Lin Tian, leaving behind a remark, "You’re a big bad guy, I’m not telling you."
That bewitching glance back, filled with shyness and a myriad of charming emotions, made Lin Tian feel even more intoxicated than if he had drunk fine red wine.
"Second Miss, don’t run, wait for me, your big bad guy," Lin Tian yelled out, ready to dash after her.
But Su Qingqing suddenly called out to him from behind. Lin Tian turned around and noticed an odd look in her eyes; the little girl must have heard his conversation with Xiao Manxuan.
Seeing her trying to hold back a smile, Lin Tian gestured generously and said, "Supervisor Su, if you want to laugh, just laugh. If you hurt yourself holding it in, I’ll have to compensate you for a work-related injury."
When Su Qingqing heard Lin Tian’s humorous comment, she couldn’t help but show her smile. However, she quickly realized she shouldn’t and hurriedly lowered her head. Although the smile was fleeting, that modestly shy expression still made Lin Tian sigh inwardly: such bashful charm invited affection.
"Boss, Bai Yufeng has taken a portion of this month’s profits, leaving two million. What should we do with it?" Su Qingqing asked softly with her head still lowered.
"Two million that much? Transfer it to my account. Bai Yufeng and Sun Decai are also quite unlucky; they took over the bar but hadn’t made back their investment when it changed hands again. Now, even the profits are falling into my lap," Lin Tian felt a burst of joy and laughed. Thinking about those few unfortunate guys, he couldn’t help feeling elated.
"Yes, as much as two million. Among the many bars, typically forty percent are operating at a loss, thirty percent break even, and thirty percent are profitable. Our bar is among those doing quite well; it probably won’t make less than a hundred million a year," Su Qingqing said expertly as she discussed her field.
