Chapter 116: Chapter 115: Dispute on the Plane

Xiao Manxue, upon hearing Lin Tian’s words and taking in her surroundings, realized it wasn’t the place for a fuss. Lin Tian’s tone had tickled her ears, and with a swift move, she freed herself from his grip and, pulling the Second Miss with her, hurriedly took a few quick steps toward the cabin.

"Secretary Xu, don’t look at me like that, I was trying to stabilize President Xiao’s emotions," said Lin Tian when he noticed Secretary Xu’s surprised expression, feeling compelled to explain.

Secretary Xu didn’t bother with a lengthy conversation but responded with a meaningful smile and followed behind. It’s not easy being a good guy these days, Lin Tian thought to himself as he touched his nose and prepared to board the plane, but then an annoying voice came from behind.

"Hey, what’s wrong with you, blocking the way, can’t you let people through?"

Lin Tian looked around and saw that he seemed to be the only one standing still. The aisle, however, was wide enough for others to pass by, so who could be so irritable?

Turning around, he saw two men standing before him, one noticeably short with small eyes and nose, and even sporting a mustache, giving off a sleazy vibe. This image reminded Lin Tian of the stereotypical Japanese character from the movies, though it was the other man donned in suit and shoes who was speaking.

"Hey, you’re in the way, do you realize that? Move aside for Mr. Futian!" the man in the suit shouted at Lin Tian again, raising his voice.

Mr. Futian? So he actually is Japanese, Lin Tian frowned and said, "Are you Japanese too?"

He was referring to the man in the suit, but the reply from the suit was unexpected, "I am from Huaxia, Mr. Futian’s translator, but I’ll soon become a citizen of Japan!"

The translator had a smug smile on his face as he talked about obtaining Japanese nationality, as if it were some kind of honorable achievement.

Damn, a second-class ghost, no wonder he’s so eager to please the Japanese. Lin Tian hated these types the most. Here was a perfectly good Huaxia man, seeking Japanese citizenship for no good reason, and to make matters worse, he was berating his own countrymen to curry favor with the Japanese!

Why didn’t his dad just spurt him on the wall, Lin Tian thought, ignoring the translator’s rant, and simply flipped him the bird.

"You..." The translator, failing to show off in front of his boss and being mocked, turned dark with anger, ready to explode.

Futian muttered something to the translator and, with a sidelong glance filled with a cold gleam, walked past Lin Tian. Trying to show off on Huaxia land? What a joke, Lin Tian snorted inwardly and boarded the plane with the other passengers.

"Lin Tian, over here," Xiao Manxuan was peering out when she saw Lin Tian and waved at him, "What were you doing out there, taking so long?"

"Oh, I ran into a second-class ghost of a translator, nearly gave him a beating," replied Lin Tian as he took his seat beside her.

"Are you talking about those two?" Xiao Manxuan pointed at seats on the other side and said, "That Japanese guy tried to sit here but I sent him packing."

"Yeah, them, hmph, they even had the gall to try to sit here, didn’t they see their sleazy faces." Lin Tian scoffed, contemplating whether to beat them up after getting off the plane. "By the way, where’s the Miss?"

"The Bai Family people have also come, they’re speaking outside," Xiao Manxuan had just finished speaking when a few more people walked in, led by Bai Yuanhao, followed by the Bai Yuze brothers and Secretary Xu.

Bai Yuanhao was speaking cheerfully at the time, "President Xiao, I hear you’re attending the Gambling Stone Festival in Zhonghai City. Do you have an invitation? I’m told the best raw materials are in a special section that you can only enter with an invitation."

"Not yet," the Miss was telling the truth as she genuinely didn’t have an invitation on her person; she would have to get it from Song Yanan once she arrived in Zhonghai City.

Bai Yuanhao’s eyes flashed with a glint, and he smiled, "My brother Yuze’s invitation can bring one more person, how about you go with him?"

He obviously misunderstood Xiao Manxue’s intention, still harboring the delusion of matchmaking Bai Yuze, but his wishful thinking was off the mark. Xiao Manxue had long seen through the malicious intentions of the Bai Family, while Bai Yuanhao thought she knew nothing.

"No need for Mr. Bai to trouble himself, do as you please, I’ve arrived," Xiao Manxue said as she bypassed Lin Tian and walked to her seat.

Seeing that Lin Tian was also present, Bai Yuanhao was somewhat surprised, but he didn’t show it and still nodded with a smile. The Bai brothers, especially Bai Yufeng, who had just been put in his place yesterday, naturally looked displeased.

As they walked to their seats close to the Japanese man, they even greeted him; Bai Yuanhao and Mr. Futian seemed quite familiar with each other.

The airplane took off after a while, and it was Lin Tian’s first time flying. At first he found it novel, but soon he became bored.

He didn’t know how long they had been flying when he was resting with his eyes closed and heard the sound of high heels tapping the floor. He discerned this was the sound of a flight attendant walking. Trained as they were, their footsteps always had a rhythmic feel to them.

He couldn’t help but open his eyes and saw a tall flight attendant with light makeup on her face walking toward the translator second-class ghost.

"Sir, may I help you?" the flight attendant asked politely.

The translator glanced a few times at her full chest and long legs before saying, "Bring Mr. Futian a beverage."

"Certainly, is he Mr. Futian? Please have him turn off his cellphone," the flight attendant said, pointing at Mr. Futian who was busy typing on his phone.

"This..." The translator hesitated. He knew cellphones weren’t allowed during the flight, but his boss was handling important correspondence.

"Please have him turn off the cellphone," the flight attendant insisted. She realized that Mr. Futian probably didn’t understand Chinese, as he hadn’t looked up to respond, so she could only communicate through the translator.

Having no choice, the translator turned and whispered respectfully to Mr. Futian. Mr. Futian’s face turned stern, and he angrily berated the translator, then pointed at the flight attendant and shouted loudly.

"Second Miss, do you understand what he’s saying?" Lin Tian asked, frowning.

Xiao Manxuan shook her head, but Secretary Xu leaned over and whispered, "The Japanese man said, ’You want me to turn off my phone, can you afford the loss this will cause?’"

How arrogant, to openly defy the flight attendant. Lin Tian had only heard about such things in the news and wondered how there could be such obtuse passengers who violated the rules and still felt entitled. Today he encountered one firsthand. Indeed, a forest large enough attracts all kinds of birds.

The flight attendant wasn’t intimidated by him and warned again, "If you don’t turn off your phone now, I will call the air marshal. Please cooperate!"

Seeing his boss angry and wanting to please him, the translator thought about standing up to scold the flight attendant. However, when he got up, he moved with too much force, knocking his glass of water onto Mr. Futian, drenching both the man and his phone.

"Dammit!" Mr. Futian was instantly enraged, standing up and slapping the translator across the face. The translator didn’t dare to dodge and took the blow.

The commotion here drew the attention of the surrounding passengers, but no one really wanted to interfere. Even after hitting the translator, Mr. Futian’s anger wasn’t appeased, and he raised his hand to slap the flight attendant.

Damn it, not only was he hitting the second-class ghost, but he also wanted to bully our compatriot. Just as the Miss was about to stand up, Lin Tian bared his teeth, moved swiftly, and had already appeared in front of the flight attendant, accurately grabbing Mr. Futian’s wrist.
