Yugioh Card Summoner -
CH.616 Strange Races
Today my goal was to unlock a few new races.
With Inka now officially a HomeBase worker, I can run some scans on her. Just to make sure my new employees are healthy, naturally. Definitely not because I want a better understanding of her body. … Not in that way, you freak.
I just need to know how the tentacles are attached to her back so I can replicate them and unlock the Octopus-folk race. And potentially the evolved form, Scylla. But let’s get to that later.
I, while nowhere near as skilled at it as Lua, was able to use the ‘Scan’ spells with Spirit Magic or Blood Magic. So I scanned Inka with every attribute Scan spell, as each of them is focused on different things.
Water focuses on circulation. You know, blood flow and stuff like that. As well as just the general movement of fluids in the body.
Fire is muscles.
Earth is bones.
Wind is the respiratory system.
Dark is the nervous system.
And Light is technically the mana circuits, but it can basically do all of the above, but not quite as well as the dedicated attribute. There is a reason it is the generic healing attribute.
I know I’ve told you all of that before, but I think it is a good reminder.
After the scans, I had the data I needed to replicate the tentacles, so I got to work. And soon enough, I had made them good enough to where One of Every Race added the Octopus-folk race into my list of races.
I’d show you my status and One of Every Race, but it will get more things soon, so I’ll do it after that.
My second goal, the Scylla race, was a bit more complicated. Scylla’s are an evolved form of Octopus-folk. Instead of having tentacles coming from their back, they have anywhere from eight to twelve of them take the place of their legs.
Replicating all of that with Manamorphic Body wasn’t the easiest. It was actually a ton of work. But thanks to all the experience I’ve gotten with Magical Arms, I was able to produce eight tentacle ‘legs’ and unlock the Scylla race.
Now you might think that is it, but I had more I wanted. Next up, Lamia. Yeah. That one was actually super easy. I just turned myself into a mer-folk and then added more length to my tail with Manamorphic Body.
Next, Arachne. I didn’t actually have to do anything to unlock it. It just appeared in One of Every Race after Poison Making and Web Making reached level 8. The Arachne body was probably the most difficult of all of my new races, or actually just all of them, to control. The eight thin legs just needed to move in specific ways or I’d fall over. The Scylla tentacles are easier than the spider legs.
But wait, there is more. Mermaid is next. Yeah, I got it. Sure it is a female only race, the previous ones aren’t, by the way. But I can swap my gender anyway, so getting the mermaid race was just something that would eventually happen.
Last one for now was the bear-folk. Sadly it doesn’t come with a racial skill that can help me, as it has access to Tough Claws and Strength Boost as racial skills, both of which I already have. But I still used Manamorphic Body to unlock the race in One of Every Race.

To relax a little after all of that, I decided to pull open some packs. 10 pack of Galactic Overlord to be specific.
I haven’t opened that many packs of the set, only 20, so I’ll open some one by one today, and on another day, I’ll fully complete the set.
But let’s just get to it.
Spoiler
GAOV 1
Moonlit Papillon; Hieratic Seal of Supremacy; Commander of Swords; Constellar Belt; Bounzer Guard; Lady of D.; Inzektor Firefly; Bright Star Dragon; Lightray Gearfried
[collapse]
Sadly the first pack has nothing new, but luckily there is always the next pack.
Spoiler
GAOV 2
Falling Current; Inzektor Firefly; Evolsaur Darwino; Aquamirror Cycle; Doom Donuts; Butterflyoke; Hieratic Dragon of Nuit; Commander of Swords; Lightray Grepher
[collapse]
Lightray Grepher is new. And it is decent. Specials itself by discarding a Light, and it can banish stuff from the deck. Sadly neither of those is something I need, but still good enough.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GAOV 3
Evolsaur Darwino; Return; Influence Dragon; Falling Current; Hieratic Seal of Supremacy; Blade Bounzer; Red-Headed Oni; Inzektor Firefly; Lightray Diabolos
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
GAOV 4
Hieratic Dragon of Nuit; Nitwit Outwit; Flame Tiger; Double Payback; Berserk Scales; Hieratic Dragon of Eset; Inzektor Gauntlet; Lightray Daedalus; Inzektor Giga-Cricket
[collapse]
Double Payback is … it has some problems. The fact that you have to take 1000 or more effect damage at one time for it to get a counter really makes it not worth it. If it triggered for 100, maybe you could use it against some burn strategies.
And Inzektor Giga-Cricket is fine. It equips itself from the GY, which is nice. And the 2000 attack and piercing are also good.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GAOV 5
Evolsaur Darwino; Mini-Guts; Return; Gamushara; Inzektor Ladybug; Sealing Ceremony of Raiton; Xyz Wrath; Storm; Lightray Gearfried
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
GAOV 6
Nomadic Force; Xyz Wrath; Berserk Scales; Phantom Bounzer; Lady of D.; Doom Donuts; Bounzer Guard; Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb; Inzektor Giga-Cricket
[collapse]
Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb is pretty cool. It gets Dragon Normal monsters to the field, which is kind of what Hieratic Dragons do.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GAOV 7
Morpho Butterspy; Xyz Wrath; Lightray Daedalus; Inzektor Earwig; Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord; Bright Star Dragon; Nomadic Force; Nitwit Outwit; Lightray Grepher
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
GAOV 8
Lightray Daedalus; Red-Headed Oni; Double Payback; Hieratic Dragon of Eset; Flame Tiger; Cameraclops; Phantom Bounzer; Jumbo Drill; Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit
[collapse]
Jumbo Drill is pretty cool. Decent attack, piercing and the level up effect allows you to summon Cyber Dragon Nova, and Infinity, in decks you normally couldn’t.
Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit just special summons itself under Cyber Dragon conditions, so while it is good, it isn’t really something I need. Though it is a cool looking dragon, so …
Next pack.
Spoiler
GAOV 9
Xyz Wrath; Bright Star Dragon; Buten; Inzektor Gauntlet; Hieratic Seal of the Dragon King; Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord; Nitwit Outwit; Lightray Sorcerer; Hieratic Dragon King of Atum
[collapse]
Hieratic Dragon King of Atum is kind of disappointing. It just specials a Dragon … from the … deck. … As in, any dragon. … including dragons I can’t get. … frick.
It isn’t disappointing! It is the Best Card Ever! Sure it reduces the dragon’s attack and defense to 0, but who cares! I’ll just return them to the hand anyway.
Still, for a Hieratic deck, I’m not so sure if it is worth it. Hieratics already special summon those Hieratic Seal dragons with ease, so I don’t think this monster is really worth Xyz summoning in a Hieratic deck.
Now I don’t think the last pack will ever be able to have anything better, but I can always try. So next pack.
Spoiler
GAOV 10
Berserk Scales; Hieratic Dragon of Nuit; Phantom Bounzer; Wattaildragon; Nimble Manta; Nomadic Force; Influence Dragon; Inzektor Firefly; Lightray Diabolos
[collapse]
And nothing new in the last pack. But honestly, who cares? Atum is my new favorite monster and I’ll abuse the absolute … hell out of him. I’ll get every dragon that ever has been and ever will be. Because I Need Them!
