Yugioh Card Summoner -
CH.588 Duel Terminal Packs
Yeah, you read the title. I’m opening Duel Terminal packs today.
I think I’ll do like 5 packs per set. That way I should get through every Duel Terminal set in a reasonable amount of time.
Naturally we are starting off with Duel Terminal 1.
Spoiler
DT01 1
Ally of Justice Garadholg; Crystal Raigeki; Fairy Meteor Crush; Detonate; Worm Hope; Ally of Justice Rudra; Ally of Justice Thousand Arms; Mask of Weakness; Kuriboh
[collapse]
Yeah, it is a reprint set. That means that nothing is new. … is what I expected I’d say, but I Worm Hope is actually new. It isn’t that good, but it is new. No clue why it was never in a main set, but apparently it wasn’t.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT01 2
Ally of Justice Thousand Arms; X-Saber Anu Piranha; Flamvell Archer; Flamvell Magician; Buster Blader; Crystal Raigeki; X-Saber Axel; Elemental HERO Neos; Royal Knight of the Ice Barrier
[collapse]
Naturally nothing new. But this pack has some power. Both Neos and Buster Blader, that is some nice stuff.
But a quick question. Why is Royal Knight of the Ice Barrier a super rare? It is probably the worst level 5 monster ever made. So why is it a super rare?
… Whatever. Next pack.
Spoiler
DT01 3
Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight; Ghost Gardna; Worm Falco; Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus; Shadow of Eyes; Worm Dimikles; Worm Hope; Ally of Justice Clausolas; Inferno Fire Blast
[collapse]
Again, I’m surprised. Worm Falco is new. It does support the Flip monster playstyle that Worms are known for, but it isn’t that great.
Also, I want to note on Inferno Fire Blast. Alice has actually developed her own magic version of it. Originally she used the Dark Flare spell, which is just a Dark and Fire magic combination spell that makes dark red flames that are almost black. But Alice improved that spell into a spell called Inferno Darkfire. It is an absolutely diabolical spell that inflicts massive damage, but it also makes it so the opponent doesn’t actually feel any pain. So while they do take tons of HP damage, they might not even notice it. Sure they will see the black flames, but they might not realize just how much damage those flames do, because they don’t feel like flames.
Anyway. Next pack.
Spoiler
DT01 4
Fairy Meteor Crush; Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus; Mask of Weakness; Michizure; Worm Cartaros; Magic Jammer; Buster Blader; Worm Hope; Adhesion Trap Hole
[collapse]
Nothing worth note here, next.
Spoiler
DT01 5
X-Saber Uruz; Mist Valley Soldier; Worm Cartaros; Malevolent Nuzzler; Worm Falco; Flamvell Archer; Berserker Crush; Worm Dimikles; Share the Pain
[collapse]
Yeah. Nothing new. And the cards aren’t that special, so I’ll hand this set off to Laura. She’ll fully complete it for me.
Now, to Duel Terminal 2.
Spoiler
DT02 1
Turbo Synchron; Axe of Despair; Naturia Cosmobeet; Worm Millidith; Big Evolution Pill; Magical Arm Shield; Flamvell Baby; Ally Mind; Destruction Punch
[collapse]
Yeah. It is a reprint set, so nothing is new. And none of these cards are even that good.
… actually, Big Evolution Pill might be worth looking into. Maybe I can feed them to monsters and force them to evolve? Or maybe they could forcefully evolve dragons with some modification? They might also work for Lizard-folk and Lizard-kin. And I do have the Lizard-folk race, so I can use myself as a test subject.
Yeah. I’ll look into that.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT02 2
Turbo Synchron; Prideful Roar; Genex Doctor; Morphtronic Boomboxen; Worm Millidith; Naturia Spiderfang; Genex Spare; Jurrac Monoloph; Worm Opera
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT02 3
Mist Valley Baby Roc; Jurrac Protops; Earthquake; Straight Flush; Morphtronic Boomboxen; Ivy Shackles; Morphtransition; Prideful Roar; Morphtronic Celfon
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT02 4
Geomancer of the Ice Barrier; 7 Completed; Naturia Cosmobeet; Straight Flush; Worm Linx; Mist Valley Falcon; Naturia Spiderfang; Naturia Antjaw; Genex Furnace
[collapse]
Genex Furnace is worth talking about for a second. It isn’t new, but we do have a few Genex Furnace in the Workshop, as they can hold the eternal flames of the Fire Spirits, and they can adjust the temperature quickly and whenever we want. So they are great furnaces for forging.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT02 5
Metalmorph; No Entry!!; Trap Jammer; Genex Gaia; Ivy Shackles; 7 Completed; Prideful Roar; Hyper Synchron; Twilight Rose Knight
[collapse]
And nothing here. This set is also headed for Laura.
Next set change.
Next up, what comes after 2, well naturally it is Duel Terminal 3.
Spoiler
DT03 1
Worm Ugly; Newdoria; Spell of Pain; Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem; Elemental HERO Flame Wingman; Dewdark of the Ice Barrier; Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier; Smashing Ground; Ally of Justice Cycle Reader
[collapse]
Oh? Two nice fusions. Yes I have them already, but having both Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem and Elemental HERO Flame Wingman in the same pack is nice.
Also, I tested Get Your Game On! Yes, I can use it. And it doubles the original attack, not the current attack, of Elemental Hero and Neo-Spacian monsters on the field. And no, it doesn’t stack.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT03 2
Fabled Miztoji; Fabled Oltro; Fabled Dyf; Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem; Jurrac Stauriko; Nobleman of Crossout; Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier; Jurrac Velphito; United We Stand
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT03 3
Archfiend of Gilfer; Dewdark of the Ice Barrier; Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest; Fabled Topi; Jurrac Ptera; Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier; R-Genex Accelerator; R-Genex Magma; Samurai of the Ice Barrier
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT03 4
R-Genex Turbo; Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier; Golden Ladybug; Naturia Tulip; Rush Recklessly; Shadow Spell; Naturia Hydrangea; Damage Condenser; Jurrac Spinos
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT03 5
Naturia Sunflower; Fabled Miztoji; Dewdark of the Ice Barrier; Widespread Ruin; Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier; Worm Ugly; Worm Xex; Time Wizard; Jurrac Iguanon
[collapse]
And nothing worth note. Another set headed for the Laura treatment.
Also, set change.
So to Duel Terminal 4 we go.
Spoiler
DT04 1
Infernity Necromancer; Dragunity Angusticlavii; King of the Swamp; The Fabled Nozoochee; Limiter Removal; The Fabled Peggulsus; Royal Oppression; Jurrac Meteor; Monster Reincarnation
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT04 2
Masked Dragon; Elemental HERO Darkbright; Jurrac Dino; Genex Ally Crusher; Limiter Removal; Royal Oppression; Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon; Genex Ally Bellflame; Genex Ally Remote
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT04 3
Cyberdark Horn; Royal Oppression; Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon; Discord; Jester Lord; Megamorph; Genex Ally Chemistrer; Sacred Spirit of the Ice Barrier; Hate Buster
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT04 4
The Fabled Peggulsus; Elemental HERO Darkbright; Warlock of the Ice Barrier; Neo Flamvell Origin; Royal Oppression; Jurrac Dino; Elemental HERO Necroshade; Naturia Exterio; Alligator's Sword Dragon
[collapse]
Nothing worth note, next.
Spoiler
DT04 5
Genex Ally Crusher; The Fabled Ganashia; Genex Ally Solid; Nightmare Penguin; The Fabled Nozoochee; Cyberdark Horn; Royal Oppression; Dragunity Pilum; Naturia Mantis
[collapse]
And nothing worth note. So another pack headed for Laura, and I’m moving to the next Duel Terminal set.
And now I can make a joke. What comes after Duel Terminal 4? Well, it isn’t Duel Terminal 5. It is actually Duel Terminal 5a.
Spoiler
DT05a 1
Gem-Merchant; Laval Burner; Silent Swordsman LV3; Level Eater; Gem-Knight Sapphire; Nimble Momonga; Necro Gardna; Trap Stun; Vylon Material
[collapse]
Okay. Hold up. I didn’t have Gem-Merchant, Laval Burner or Gem-Knight Sapphire. So this set might actually have some new cards.
Gem-Merchant is a decent boost, but it doesn’t last. Sapphire is a decent defensive wall and Burner special summons itself. None are great, but they are decent.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05a 2
Maha Vailo; Vylon Vanguard; D.D. Crow; My Body as a Shield; Silent Swordsman LV3; Card Ejector; Nimble Momonga; Elemental HERO Ocean; Molten Whirlwind Wall
[collapse]
Vylon Vanguard can make Pack tokens, so its good.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05a 3
Aussa the Earth Charmer; My Body as a Shield; Spear Cretin; Nimble Momonga; Slate Warrior; D.D. Crow; Cyberdark Keel; Vylon Vanguard; Laval Miller
[collapse]
Oh hi Spear Cretin. Been a while. Reminds me of my first day here.
… I wonder if I should make custom versions of the monsters I used on my first day here? Maybe I should. Make some sort of Divine-Beast versions of them? I should be able to do that. Just as a thanks to the monsters that protected me when I really couldn’t protect myself.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05a 4
My Body as a Shield; Gem-Knight Sapphire; Vylon Charger; Laval Forest Sprite; Prominence, Molten Swordsman; Laval Burner; Kayenn, the Master Magma Blacksmith; Level Eater; Foolish Burial
[collapse]
Prominence, Molten Swordsman is new, but he sucks. Also, I think I’ve figured out why I’m getting new cards. The new stuff I’m getting is all cards I could get from Hidden Arsenal 5. But I have only opened 10 packs of that set, so I don’t have everything from it.
And Duel Terminal 5a has reprints of some of those cards, so I’m getting them before I managed to pull them from Hidden Arsenal 5.
So I won’t let Laura fully complete this set until I have Hidden Arsenal 5 fully completed.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05a 5
Vylon Charger; Kayenn, the Master Magma Blacksmith; Gem-Knight Tourmaline; Laval Warrior; Gellenduo; Maha Vailo; Gem-Knight Sapphire; Laval Burner; Molten Whirlwind Wall
[collapse]
Nothing new here. Time for a set change.
To Duel Terminal 5b. I’m expecting some new cards, since 5a had new stuff.
Spoiler
DT05b 1
Winda, Priestess of Gusto; Volcanic Rocket; Wynn the Wind Charmer; Gishki Ariel; Black Salvo; Emperor Sem; First Step Towards Infestation; Gishki Marker; Steelswarm Moth
[collapse]
Gishki Marker is basic GY recovery. Not bad, but not amazing.
First Step Towards Infestation makes Pack tokens, but it a bit too convoluted.
And Steelswarm Moth is a double Compulse when you tribute summon him. I’d rather just use two copies of Compulsory Evacuation Device.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05b 2
Gishki Abyss; Emperor Sem; Gishki Shadow; Steelswarm Gatekeeper; Steelswarm Mantis; Wynn the Wind Charmer; First Step Towards Infestation; Blessings for Gusto; Evigishki Mind Augus
[collapse]
Steelswarm Mantis is a Monster Reborn for Steelswarm monsters when you tribute summon it. So not that good.
Blessings for Gusto is pretty good. It shuffles two cards from the GY into the deck and resurrects a third.
And Evigishki Mind Augus is just mass GY shuffling. Nice.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05b 3
Black Salvo; Volcanic Rocket; First Step Towards Infestation; Wynn the Wind Charmer; Emperor Sem; Senju of the Thousand Hands; Steelswarm Gatekeeper; Star Blast; Aquamirror Meditation
[collapse]
Nothing new here. Next.
Spoiler
DT05b 4
Volcanic Counter; Gishki Ariel; Gishki Abyss; Senju of the Thousand Hands; Volcanic Rocket; Steelswarm Mantis; Gusto Gulldo; Contact with Gusto; Armed Dragon LV10
[collapse]
Nothing new here. Next.
Spoiler
DT05b 5
Volcanic Rocket; Sonic Bird; Gishki Ariel; Black Salvo; Gishki Abyss; Gusto Gulldo; Gishki Aquamirror; The Tricky; Steelswarm Scout
[collapse]
And nothing new here. Time for Duel Terminal 6.
Or to be more specific, Duel Terminal 6a. Duel Terminal 6 is actually a promo set with 2 cards.
Now considering that Duel Terminal 5, both a and b, had new cards, I’m expecting some new cards from 6 a and b as well.
Spoiler
DT06a 1
Laval Volcano Handmaiden; Steelswarm Genome; Freed the Brave Wanderer; Athena; Battle Fader; Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands; Steelswarm Sentinel; Copycat; Pyroxene Fusion
[collapse]
Laval Volcano Handmaiden would probably be good for massages. I’m guessing. Fire attribute magic is good for that stuff, as it can heal muscle fatigue better than any other attribute.
Steelswarm Sentinel shuts off the effects of level 5 or higher special summoned monsters. So I’ll never use it, because no one is special summoned and no one, except me, special summons.
And Pyroxene Fusion is just a sucky trap version of Gem-Knight Fusion.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06a 2
Hand of Nephthys; Freed the Brave Wanderer; Forbidden Arts of the Gishki; Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto; Eria the Water Charmer; Steelswarm Genome; Copycat; Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands; Sacred Phoenix of Nephth
[collapse]
Steelswarm Genome can be a double tribute for Steelswarm monsters. … they really should have allowed it to special summon itself to an empty field as well. Would have been better.
And Forbidden Arts of the Gishki is a Ritual spell. That can tribute monsters ‘anywhere’ on the field. So it can tribute your opponent’s monsters. Pretty nice.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06a 3
Vylon Tetra; Mystic Tomato; Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto; Forbidden Arts of the Gishki; Hand of Nephthys; Future Fusion; Guardian Angel Joan; Infestation Ripples; Evigishki Tetrogre
[collapse]
Vylon Tetra is just a Vylon Tuner. Nothing special about it.
Infestation Ripples is a Steelswarm Monster Reborn. But only for level 4 and lower monsters.
And Evigishki Tetrogre is fine, but not that useful in this world.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06a 4
Freed the Brave Wanderer; Laval Volcano Handmaiden; Hand of Nephthys; Eria the Water Charmer; Forbidden Arts of the Gishki; Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands; Athena; Future Fusion; Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
DT06a 5
Steelswarm Genome; Steelswarm Sentinel; Elemental HERO Gaia; Laval Volcano Handmaiden; Freed the Brave Wanderer; Vylon Element; Timeater; Infestation Ripples; Vylon Hept
[collapse]
Vylon Element is great, and it is a part of the Vylon loop that you can use to summon any number of Vylon Tuner monsters from your deck. So great to have, and it can make me Vylon Tuner monsters.
And Vylon Hept is also great. Just special summon a Vylon monster that is an equip card.
Now, one more set to go.
That is Duel Terminal 6b.
Spoiler
DT06b 1
Legendary Jujitsu Master; Penguin Soldier; Vylon Pentachloro; Laval Blaster; Double Summon; Gem-Knight Iolite; Gem-Knight Amber; Gishki Vision; Embodiment of Apophis
[collapse]
Vylon Pentachloro is a random Union monster. I guess it fits the Vylon playstyle, but it is too slow to actually matter. If you could equip it from hand it would actually be good.
Laval Blaster is super mid, but I guess a mill 5 isn’t bad.
Gem-Knight Iolite is a freaking Gemini monster for some reason.
Same with Gem-Knight Amber.
Gishki Vision is great for a Gishki deck. And useful enough for me.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06b 2
Quickdraw Synchron; Laval Lakeside Lady; Golden Homunculus; Greenkappa; Double Summon; Dark Grepher; Penguin Soldier; Vylon Segment; Daigusto Phoenix
[collapse]
Laval Lakeside Lady is cute. That is all.
Vylon Segment protects the equipped monster from targeting monster effects, and targeting traps. Not bad, but not great either.
And Daigusto Phoenix can make a Wind monster attack twice. Nice.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06b 3
T.G. Rush Rhino; Greenkappa; Laval Lakeside Lady; Kamui, Hope of Gusto; Gishki Vision; Vylon Tesseract; Vylon Pentachloro; De-Synchro; Vylon Segment
[collapse]
Vylon Tesseract is another Union. Probably a bit better than Pentachloro, but still too slow.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06b 4
De-Synchro; Gusto Falco; Volcanic Shell; Laval Blaster; Dark Grepher; Golden Homunculus; Phantom Skyblaster; Aquamirror Illusion; Lavalval Ignis
[collapse]
Aquamirror Illusion is interesting. Not sure how good it is, but it is interesting.
And Lavalval Ignis just gains temporary attack. At least make it permanent.
Last pack of the day.
Spoiler
DT06b 5
Buster Blader; Laval Lakeside Lady; T.G. Rush Rhino; Gem-Knight Iolite; Volcanic Shell; Penguin Soldier; Kamui, Hope of Gusto; Vylon Stigma; Whirlwind of Gusto
[collapse]
Vylon Stigma just moves around equip cards. Not that good.
And that was all of the Duel Terminal packs. That I have. I think there might have been Duel Terminal 7, but I could be thinking of Hidden Arsenal 7. I really don’t remember.
I guess we will see when I get access to it/them.
