Yugioh Card Summoner -
CH.581 Generic Pack Opening chapter title number #16
Today is just a pack opening day. And I’ll be doing 10 packs of Photon Shockwave, followed by 20 packs of Order of Chaos.
So let’s start.
Spoiler
PHSW 1
Champion's Vigilance; Plasma Ball; Evo-Karma; Needle Sunfish; Cross Attack; Evoltile Gephyro; Senior Silver Ninja; Sound the Retreat!; Baby Tiragon
[collapse]
Senior Silver Ninja has a really powerful effect. Just resurrect as many Ninja monsters as you want. That is honestly a crazy effect. Sadly it is a flip effect on a level 6 monster.
Next pack.
Spoiler
PHSW 2
One Day of Peace; Bunilla; Tri-Wight; Champion's Vigilance; Rodenut; Fiery Fervor; Wattcobra; Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon; Eisbahn
[collapse]
Well, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon isn’t technically new. I already got a few because of Galactikuriboh. But it is new from this set. And it is the ghost rare of the set, so that is really cool.
Next pack.
Spoiler
PHSW 3
Wattcobra; Prior of the Ice Barrier; Icy Crevasse; Ego Boost; Sealing Ceremony of Suiton; Space Cyclone; Wattcancel; Damage Diet; Evolsaur Vulcano
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
PHSW 4
Acorno; Zenmailfunction; Lumenize; Ego Boost; Champion's Vigilance; Bunilla; Zenmairch; Photon Cerberus; Photon Veil
[collapse]
Acorno, huh. Finally got it. It does a combo with Pinecono, but all you really get is two level 1 monsters on the field. And not for free or anything, you need to have both Acorno and Pinecono in hand.
And Photon Veil is … Interesting. I guess I can use it to trade in cards I have a ton of, and get multiple copies of some rarer cards in return. So yeah, it is pretty cool.
Next pack.
Spoiler
PHSW 5
Mirror Mail; Vylon Ohm; Needle Sunfish; Heartfelt Appeal; Space Cyclone; Plasma Ball; Icy Crevasse; Damage Diet; Photon Booster
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
PHSW 6
Rabidragon; Vylon Ohm; Zenmailfunction; Wattcancel; Evo-Karma; One Day of Peace; Fiery Fervor; Evolutionary Bridge; Baby Tiragon
[collapse]
Evolutionary Bridge is new, but it is okay at best. It just summons an Evoltile from the GY when I’m attacked and forces it to be the attack target. I can just negate the attack instead.
Next pack.
Spoiler
PHSW 7
Evo-Karma; Wattcancel; Mirror Mail; Prior of the Ice Barrier; Rodenut; Space Cyclone; Laval Lancelord; Tri-Wight; Copy Knight
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
PHSW 8
Plasma Ball; Vylon Ohm; Rabidragon; Space Cyclone; Lumenize; Icy Crevasse; Needle Sunfish; Poisonous Winds; Kagetokage
[collapse]
Kagetokage is new, and it is pretty good. For TCG use at least. For me though, Kagetokage is just a material I might use for Xyz summonings.
Next pack.
Spoiler
PHSW 9
Icy Crevasse; Laval Dual Slasher; Zenmairch; Space Cyclone; Rai Rider; Goblin Pothole Squad; Laval Lancelord; Pinecono; Junk Defender
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
PHSW 10
Laval Lancelord; Acorno; Vylon Ohm; Mirror Mail; Evoltile Odonto; Wind-Up Bat; Wind-Up Warrior; Pinecono; Baby Tiragon
[collapse]
Nothing new here either. That’s too bad.
But I guess I got Photon Veil and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, so these packs weren’t terrible.
Now let’s change sets to Order of Chaos.
Spoiler
ORCS 1
Degen-Force; Splash Capture; Air Armor Ninja; Evo-Branch; Inzektor Giga-Weevil; Evolsaur Elias; Flame Armor Ninja; Inzektor Ant; Photon Thrasher
[collapse]
Evolsaur Elias has good defense and a decent effect, so it is nice enough.
And Photon Thrasher has good attack, but sadly its effect is kind of limiting. Sure I can get around it, but I feel like most of the time I’ll just use Thrasher as an Xyz material.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 2
Sweet Corn; Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing; Inzektor Ant; Star Light, Star Bright; Splash Capture; Flame Armor Ninja; Inzektor Centipede; Galaxy Wave; Inzektor Orb
[collapse]
Sweet Corn, more like sweet popcorn, am I right? Because outside of being potential food, Sweet Corn kind of sucks.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 3
Xyz Burst; Galaxy Storm; Shocktopus; Flame Armor Ninja; Upstart Golden Ninja; Photon Circle; Earth Armor Ninja; Photon Leo; Reverse Buster
[collapse]
Photon Circle is new, but it isn’t good.
Earth Armor Ninja is basically a Cyber Dragon with worse stats.
And Reverse Buster is way too situational.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 4
Shocktopus; Numen erat Testudo; Evoltile Pleuro; Vampiric Koala; Photon Trident; Variable Form; Dicephoon; Evo-Branch; Photon Thrasher
[collapse]
Dicephoon is just a worse MST, so I won’t be using it.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 5
Full-Force Strike; Air Armor Ninja; Photon Leo; The Huge Revolution is Over; Trance Archfiend; Danipon; Dicephoon; Inzektor Centipede; Dark Flattop
[collapse]
Trance Archfiend is okay enough, but nothing special.
Dark Flattop works with the Reactors and Sky Fire. Sadly I like never use them, so I probably won’t use Dark Flattop either.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 6
Earth Armor Ninja; Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing; Galaxy Wave; Darklon; Kurivolt; Danipon; Double Defender; Counterforce; White Night Queen
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
ORCS 7
Galaxy Wave; Evolsaur Elias; Photon Trident; Star Light, Star Bright; Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon; Evolsaur Terias; Wind-Up Honeybee; Inzektor Giga-Mantis; Shrine of Mist Valley
[collapse]
Inzektor Giga-Mantis is good. Equip it to another Inzektor monster, and its attack becomes 2400. And if it goes to the GY, just resurrect a different Inzektor.
And Shrine of Mist Valley is also pretty nice. Special summoning stuff from the deck is always good.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 8
Primordial Soup; Danipon; Aqua Armor Ninja; Shocktopus; Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing; Air Armor Ninja; Evo-Branch; Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation; Gogogo Giant
[collapse]
Aqua Armor Ninja just negates attacks. Not bad but not amazing.
Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation is kind of cool, since I tribute both my monster, and a monster my opponent controls. So it can be used to quickly get rid of a problematic monster.
And Gogogo Giant is fine. A bit too Xyz focused, but it does have 2k attack.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 9
Chow Len the Prophet; Galaxy Wave; Earth Armor Ninja; Photon Leo; Double Defender; Degen-Force; Evo-Branch; Driven Daredevil; Weights & Zenmaisures
[collapse]
Driven Daredevil is fine enough. Especially since the monsters in this world don’t have the intelligence needed to avoid its effect. So it might actually be extremely good.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 10
Dicephoon; Star Light, Star Bright; Full-Force Strike; Primordial Soup; Koalo-Koala; Upstart Golden Ninja; Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing; Evolsaur Terias; Weights & Zenmaisures
[collapse]
And nothing new here.
First ten packs had 3 higher rarity cards, so that is nice. Let’s hope the next ten are just as good.
Spoiler
ORCS 11
Numen erat Testudo; Xyz Burst; Star Light, Star Bright; Familiar-Possessed - Dharc; Evolsaur Elias; Flame Armor Ninja; Evoltile Pleuro; Photon Thrasher; Inzektor Axe - Zektahawk
[collapse]
Inzektor Axe - Zektahawk is nice. The 1000 attack boost is already good, but then adding in the fact that your opponent cannot activate spells or traps when you attack. I’ll need to check if I can install it into The Star Axe, Tauros.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 12
Evolsaur Terias; Earth Armor Ninja; Masked Ninja Ebisu; Inzektor Centipede; Vampiric Koala; Inzektor Giga-Weevil; Danipon; Evolsaur Elias; Inzektor Dragonfly
[collapse]
Inzektor Dragonfly is really nice. It just equips Inzektors from hand or GY to itself. And if an Equip card equipped to Dragonfly goes to the GY, you get to special summon an Inzektor from the deck.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 13
Evolsaur Terias; Earth Armor Ninja; Counterforce; Full-Force Strike; Star Light, Star Bright; Zenmailstrom; Numen erat Testudo; Splash Capture; Photon Thrasher
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
ORCS 14
Koalo-Koala; Danipon; Galaxy Wave; Flame Armor Ninja; Double Defender; Upstart Golden Ninja; Dark Mambele; Evolsaur Terias; Gogogo Giant
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
ORCS 15
Inzektor Ant; Air Armor Ninja; Wind-Up Honeybee; Star Light, Star Bright; Vampiric Koala; Sweet Corn; Photon Leo; Trance Archfiend; White Night Queen
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
ORCS 16
Zenmailstrom; Numen erat Testudo; Koalo-Koala; Evo-Branch; Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing; Kurivolt; Masked Ninja Ebisu; Xyz Burst; Gogogo Giant
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
ORCS 17
Divine Dragon Apocralyph; Inzektor Centipede; Galaxy Storm; Star Light, Star Bright; Kurivolt; Xyz Burst; Photon Crusher; Chow Len the Prophet; ZW - Unicorn Spear
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
ORCS 18
Flame Armor Ninja; Shocktopus; Primordial Soup; Galaxy Storm; Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon; Xyz Burst; Photon Crusher; Evoltile Casinerio; Wind-Up Rat
[collapse]
Evoltile Casinerio is just a shortcut to a rank 6 Xyz. But a bit too situational for that. And I can just summon out the materials, so I probably won’t use it.
And Wind-Up Rat is great. Just a free Monster Reborn for any Wind-Up.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 19
Upstart Golden Ninja; Degen-Force; Splash Capture; Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon; Evolsaur Terias; Variable Form; Numen erat Testudo; Xyz Reflect; Weights & Zenmaisures
[collapse]
Xyz Reflect is fine enough. Just negate targeted spells, traps or monster effects.
Next pack.
Spoiler
ORCS 20
Wind-Up Honeybee; Darklon; Degen-Force; Divine Dragon Apocralyph; Galaxy Wave; Full-Force Strike; Flame Armor Ninja; Masked Ninja Ebisu; Gagagaguard
[collapse]
Gagagaguard is a decent defensive card, so not a bad card to end this opening on.
Also, the second ten of Order of Chaos also had 3 higher rarity cards. So in total I got 6 from 20 packs. Which is perfectly fine in my book.
Next up, some summoning challenge stuff.
First the Ritual challenge. Yeah. Haven’t looked at it for a while. But I do have three Ritual monsters I’ve yet to summon, which is just enough for me to get to the next reward.
So I summoned Divine Grace - Northwemko; Garlandolf, King of Destruction and Herald of Perfection.
Spoiler
[collapse]
I then collected my reward, Ruin, Supreme Queen of Oblivion and Cycle of the World, and naturally I summoned the upgraded Ruin.

Spoiler
[collapse]
And apparently my next reward is some Ritual archetype I’ve never heard of. But Ohime has the Yubel effect of being indestructible by battle and your opponent taking the battle damage, so it is pretty cool.
Now the Xyz challenge. I have seven unsummoned Xyz monsters, which will get me two more rewards, so I’ll just summon them all.
