Chapter 1085: Four nine two: Major breakthrough in cultivation!
Seeing Du Yan, Lanling immediately had a feeling, as if he had encountered an elf from an Earth movie.
Silver-white flowing long hair, pointed ears like a sword tip, a handsome face, and slanted, elongated eyes.
He also had a striking feature—the center of his forehead bore a mysterious flame-shaped tattoo, with a similar mark behind his ears.
Looking closer, it seemed less like a tattoo and more like it was naturally born.
He had a slender physique, and there was no tail below his waist.
Unlike other soldiers of the Foreign Tribe Army, he wore a luxurious, tightly-fitting samurai outfit made from an unknown type of leather.
His eyes carried a faint tint of blue, exuding elegance mixed with aloofness.
Upon seeing Lanling beside Dina, his gaze turned cold as he said, "Who is he?"
Dina replied, "Second Brother, he is Uncle’s nephew, named Lanling."
Du Yan’s gaze softened slightly and he took a serious look at Lanling. Indeed, there was some resemblance to his adopted father.
But when had his adopted father suddenly gained another nephew? And how had he managed to travel from a place thousands of miles away?
Du Yan nodded towards Lanling and then asked Dina, "Why are you still outside so late? It’s dangerous outside the tribe."
Dina responded, "I wanted to help Lanling practice martial arts."
Du Yan asked, "Can’t he train on his own?"
Dina replied with irritation, "This is Father’s order."
Du Yan glanced at Lanling once more, his expression brimming with displeasure.
At that moment, Chief Constantine’s daughter fixed her gaze on Lanling’s face, her eyes alight with curiosity.
She was a typical Chimera Tribe woman, tall and incredibly alluring, with long, shapely legs and a strong, muscular tail.
Her eyes were large, with irises occupying an unusual proportion of her eyeballs, and her face was slender.
Of course, it was still a strikingly beautiful face. Even by human aesthetic standards, she would be considered a stunningly beautiful and passionate demon woman—albeit heavily marked by her exotic ethnic features.
Moreover, like her father, her skin tone was pale, unlike other tribal warriors who bore scattered markings across their bodies.
Her gaze was unquestionably bold, scrutinizing Lanling from head to toe without leaving any part of him untouched.
This made Du Yan exceedingly uncomfortable. In his mind, the chieftain’s daughter was his forbidden delicacy—his path to a meteoric rise depended entirely on this woman.
"Nini’an, we should head back. Otherwise, your father will grow impatient," Du Yan said.
He perceived Lanling as an immense threat, especially with his unparalleled handsome face, naturally exuding an aura of wicked allure and chill. Even his eyes seemed to flicker with change upon each blink, holding an almost fatal charm for women.
Dina mocked him, "Second Brother, after returning, shouldn’t you pay respects to Father first? The chieftain isn’t your father-in-law yet, is he?"
Hearing Dina’s ridicule, Du Yan’s face changed as he tried to explain but was unable to speak.
The chieftain’s daughter, Nini’an—her last name was unknown—watched Dina mock Du Yan with amusement, as if enjoying the spectacle. In the next moment, her gaze returned to Lanling, studying his unique eyes with fascination.
"Let’s go," Du Yan said, determined not to let Nini’an continue staring at Lanling.
Then, he led a cavalry squad to escort Nini’an back to the tribe, heading towards the castle atop the mountain.
Throughout the journey, Nini’an did not speak, but her eyes seemed eloquent enough to convey a whole story.
"Ungrateful dog," Dina muttered.
Finally, they stepped through the gates of the tribe.
"Vile foreign mutts, hand over ninety percent of your prey," the gatekeeping samurai said rudely, snatching the wolf pelts and ninety percent of the wolf meat from Dina’s hands.
Such was the rule of the Chimera Tribe—even prey hunted in secret had to be surrendered in majority.
Wolf meat was too coarse; the Chimera Tribe people didn’t eat it. Instead, it was used to feed gryphons. For the Foreign Tribe Army, however, it was a rare delicacy, though even then, the tribal warriors wouldn’t spare them.
When they returned to the Foreign Tribe Army’s camp, most were already asleep.
Dina initially intended to go directly to meet Father but remembered her duty and said, "Fifteen hundred sword strikes!"
She stood there, gripping a wooden sword as she awaited Lanling’s attack.
Lanling took a deep breath and swung his three-hundred-pound wooden sword, launching Gale Style Blade Skill strikes at Dina.
"Boom, boom, boom..."
Last time, over fifteen hundred moves, Lanling’s body reached its limit thrice, prompting his Bloodline Power to surge forth with its energy to temper his limbs and body.
This time, after consuming wolf blood, his stamina had significantly improved. Over fifteen hundred moves, he only hit his limit once, and his Bloodline Power surged only once.
Finishing the last strike, two hours had elapsed.
Lanling collapsed to the ground while Dina stepped forward to remove the lead weights from his pockets.
She then began massaging his limbs again.
Perhaps still harboring annoyance, her strength was excessive, causing Lanling to cry out in agony—it truly hurt.
"Too heavy, too heavy," Lanling complained.
Dina responded coldly, "It’s only effective if the pressure is strong!"
"Turn over," Dina commanded.
Lanling flipped over and lay prone on the mat, while Dina massaged his thighs and lower back.
At that moment, footsteps sounded as someone entered, shouting furiously, "Dina, what are you doing?"
"Lanling trained all day. I’m massaging him," Dina responded calmly.
