World After Worlds -
Chapter 256 - 256: § ENOUGH §
"I saw what you did earlier, Rym." Kraig looked at Yanarym unpleasantly, "You were going to hit Tiana with the crystal ball. I wanted to keep it to myself and to not take it further but seeing you act with no remorse…"
"Kraig, what do you mean?" Tiana asked, looking confused.
"That, I will answer." All eyes turned toward Yanarym's. No one was interested in what she was going to say. They all just assumed she would shamelessly deny the accusation against her. But since she took the spotlight from Kraig they involuntarily gave her their attention. "I wanted to kill you." She said nonchalantly, her hands gesturing as if she was talking trivial. While everyone gasped in stupefaction. "Of course, you can't die. Human bodies can't die that easily—"
"YANARYM!" Kraig roared before she could even finish her sentence. "Are you crazy?! Why would you say something so vicious?!" He took a step forward but Tiana stopped him.
"Why? D-Did… Did I do something bad to you? Why do you hate me so much?! I want us to be friends just like everybody else. Why are you doing this to me?!" She was firmly holding Kraig's arm. Her eyes were watery; she looked like a girl scared of starting a fight yet she was so boisterous.
"Bitch, shut up." Bad words wanted to come out of Yanarym's mouth and she couldn't help it. "I'm the one who's taking a healing potion, not you. So, why are you the one who's crying? You don't even have the slightest scratch on your body."
"YOU DESERVE IT, YANARYM! STOP SHOUTING AT TIANA!"
"SHE WAS HURT BECAUSE OF YOU!"
"YEAH! THAT'S WHY SHE'S CRYING!" Everyone was screaming at her. Her ears were ringing. How come they were so loud? It was so annoying.
"If she did get hurt because of that, one healing potion is not enough, Yanarym! You almost killed her!" Kraig shouted at her face, making her blood boil.
What was wrong with them? Why were they shouting at her? It was not like she asked for their opinion. Did she approach them? Did she?! This kind of life was so frustrating! How could the original live like this? Even though Yanarym told herself countless times to calm down, she couldn't! Discovering how awful this world was and how sick these people were made her want to puke.
"What's done is done. You protected her and I received the damage. Are we okay now? Enough with this bullshit and just get over it. Now, get off my face!"
"NO! TELL ME WHY YOU HATE ME SO MUCH! IS IT BECAUSE YOU LIKE KRAIG BUT HE CAN'T LIKE YOU BACK?! YANARYM, YOU KNOW HE'S JUST NICE TO EVERYONE!" Did Tiana have to declare openly her broken heart to everyone like that? If that was not intentionally insulting, then what was it?
OMG! This fucking FL! Supposing Yanarym was the real original, she would go crazily mad at Tiana! She pressed her lips tightly shut. Did this FL have a brain the same size as a bird's? Or is she just purposely irritating me? She glared at Tiana, She does not know when to stop, doesn't she?
"I liked him before. Do you hear me? That was all in the past. Should I always use past tense for you to be able to understand?" She said to Tiana mockingly, making her shut up as she was shocked at how Yanarym managed to dodge her insult with ease.
Guide-sama: "Yanarym."
"What?"
Guide-sama: "Are you sure you will alter your personality?"
"Yes, I am. I think it would be fun to use the original's personality but it would be much better to be feisty when dealing with these kinds of people."
Guide-sama: "If that's the case, it's alright to change her personality. It's reasonable since she had a fall and injury."
"You mean to say, I can't alter the original's personality just because I want to?"
Guide-sama: "Yes. You should reconsider it in the future. You need a reason to change."
"What would happen if I did it unintentionally?"
Guide-sama: "There will be some instances that will bring you back to the starting point where you first appeared in the story."
"You mean I could die and then be resurrected to start over?!"
Guide-sama: "Most likely, yes."
"But why?!"
Guide-sama: "Because that would be a glitch in the system, like a virus. You would be classified as an unidentified object existing within this world."
"You should have told me that from the start! That's crucial information!" Yanarym was perplexed by everything Guide-sama was telling her just now. "I've been changing personalities since the third world for—you know how many times I did! It's my fourth world and you're just telling me this?" She snorted, "Wait. Wait. How come the recent world didn't reset?"
Guide-sama: "Because with all the given circumstances, it was reasonable enough for you to alter your personality at that time. When you were acting cold towards Movu in Peru, he didn't meet the meek original. Instead, he met you. Your family thought you had a trauma, so your drastic change of attitude was effortlessly excused. When you decided to stop playing as the cold sister to your siblings, they thought you were warming to their efforts. As for Movu, when he met you in Spain but your personality was different as he remembered, he simply assumed that you had recovered from the trauma of your childhood and become comfortable with your family and other people. As long as the reasons for modifying the original are rational and justifiable, you'd be able to do it." Yanarym processed the information for a second.
"Will you please tell me all about the rules? I shouldn't be clueless about things like this."
Guide-sama: "I understand. Forgive me, Yanarym." Yanarym sighed.
What else could she do? It was not like she reset the world by mistake. She'd be careful. She downed the rest of the potion and raised the empty bottle as if she was handing it to both Kraig and Tiana. Neither of them took it, causing Yanarym to grin.
"You see, this bottle reminds me of Kraig. He showed me good things and treated me fairly. He fulfilled the missing piece inside of me," confessed Yanarym as she looked at the vial in her hand bittersweetly.
"He rescued me; he gave me reassurance even just for a moment." She let go of the container and everyone's eyes watched it crash across the ground. "But it wasn't enough. I'm still broken and he could only offer no more than that. Now, he's just a piece of trash. You can keep him. He is useless to me anyway." Yanarym forcefully smashed the glass bottle into pieces with her foot many times. "Oops. To tell you the truth, I was dying to do that." With all the shattered pieces of glass on the ground, she sternly looked Kraig in the eye. "Next time, Kraig, keep your friendliness in check. Stop treating people like they're special for you when they're not because instead of saving them, you're just messing them up. Stop pushing people on the edge and blame them for fighting back. Like what you are all doing right now!" She exclaimed loud enough for everyone to hear.
"You're the one who started this," a girl replied.
"Did I? Really? Was I the one who talked to you, Tiana, was I?" Yanarym refuted sarcastically, the girl clamped her lips together because she was beside Tiana when Tiana approached Yanarym.
"She was concerned about you, she did not start the fight, you did." Another girl reprimanded, the others nodded their heads.
"Oh," Yanarym clasped her hands together and smiled, it was an arrogant smile, "so you are all expecting me… her enemy to welcome her with open arms? Talk to her with compassion, giggle like we are besties, is that it? Well—Use your brains, morons!" She gnashed her teeth, "Did you not hear what I said earlier, I want to kill her! Why should I act chummy-chummy with this bitch?!"
"Rym that's enough, you are being too much." Kraig seemed to regain his composure while she outburst. He strode his feet forward and held her arm, "We all know that you're not fond of Tiana but regardless, you should not hurt her. That's not how a good person should do."
"And you," she violently shoved his hand and pointed her forefinger towards him. "You think you're so great?" dabbed her finger to his shoulder with enough strength to push him. "You think you have some right to condemn me? Or tell me what to do? Huh?" She glared straight to his eyes, "Not hurt her? Good person? Are you trying to make me laugh?"
"I said enough, Yanarym," Kraig uttered in difficulty, reaching for her hand and putting it down. She pressed her lips violently, Kraig thought that it was enough for her to listen… it wasn't.
