Working as a police officer in Mexico
Chapter 845 - 455: Sorry, I Want to Be a Good Person!

The Pacific Ocean, west of Baja California State, Mexico.

The Eisenhower aircraft carrier fleet loomed like a sprawling spider web, shrouding the entire sea.

One missile cruiser and three Zeus Shield ships!

In the dark of night, it appeared utterly intimidating.

This naval force… could conquer Mongolia, assuming Mongolia had a sea for the fleet to sail in.

Otherwise...

An aircraft carrier wouldn't be able to fly in the sky.

Hahaha...

Well, maybe it could.

Those "rabbits" might have already been duped into submission.

On board the Thomas Gates Zeus Shield Ship, Deputy Captain Ambrella Crespo sat in a cramped room with tears streaming down his face.

He held a faded photograph in his hands...

In it, a girl dressed in a white dress stood smiling brightly below the Eiffel Tower, holding a balloon and flashing a peace sign with her right hand.

It was his daughter...

A truly, truly adorable child, but on one fateful day in 1984, she went missing...

He searched for her frantically.

But there were no clues, until September of that year, when a fishing boat suddenly exploded in the waters off California, USA. Thirty-seven bodies were discovered aboard, and among them, unmistakably, was his daughter.

Ambrella Crespo still remembered the moment he could no longer cry aloud.

Yet when he thought the authorities would seek justice for him, the California government sent out an official statement claiming it was a group of refugees!

They had died from a gas cylinder explosion.

He couldn't accept it, so he filed an appeal. At the time, he was a promising Lieutenant Colonel in the Navy.

But his lawyer was murdered; his officer summoned him for a conversation, alleging he was entangled in corruption and subject to investigation.

His comrades told him, "Don't pursue this further, the ocean is too deep, and you'll uncover nothing."

In that moment, he understood — someone in the upper echelons of the United States was trafficking children!

Those bastards on Capitol Hill all deserved to die!!!

But he endured it, realizing he could not contend with such vast and towering power. He played the role of a coward, perhaps causing them to forget about him — until four years later, in 1988, he was reinstated.

Then slowly… step by step, he ascended to become Deputy Captain of the Thomas Gates Zeus Shield Ship.

Those people never imagined it, or perhaps even if they saw it, they didn't care.

After all, what could a mere grunt possibly stir up?

"Nadia, today your father will be brave for you."

Ambrella Crespo wiped away his tears, tucked the photo into his jacket lining, grabbed the cap from the table, took a deep breath, equipped his sidearm, and pulled open the hatch.

In the corridor outside, more than a dozen Navy personnel already stood, including soldiers and officers, looking at Ambrella with eyes blazing with a certain light.

"Comrades, today we rebel — there will be no turning back. If anyone regrets this, they can leave."

"Deputy Captain, don't say such things. Ever since I embraced GC ideology, I've felt that the world shouldn't be like the United States. Humanity shouldn't only consist of greed. If my death comes, my ideals and beliefs must live on!" a Major spoke passionately.

The others nodded fervently in agreement.

"Good!"

Ambrella Crespo gritted his teeth. "I'll take Kevin and Eric to seize the captain."

"Samuel, you lead your team to launch missiles toward the aircraft carrier, while the others take control of the dormitory corridors."

"Tonight, we rise up aboard the Thomas Gates Zeus Shield Ship!"

!!!!

???

An uprising among Americans?

This narrative seems so niche.

But on second thought, even Americans have international warriors — fighters like Bushnell, who called out "The world is young, save Mexico!" amid flames, or ordinary people who chose Mexican citizenship to resist capitalism.

Who said...

Americans always revel in capitalist pleasure?

Only dogs revel in their master's delight!

The world belongs to the people!

"Let's go! Tonight, let the world remember us, remember the roar of ordinary people!"

Ambrella Crespo raised his hand, shouted loudly, drew his gun, and led his men rushing toward the bridge.

At this late hour, past two in the morning, when fatigue settled over man and beast alike, Captain Freddie Hodgson certainly wasn't working overtime...

Instead, he was watching an adult film?

American uncensored...

And he wasn't alone — the helmsman and a few on-duty personnel were there too.

But with a loud bang, the hatch was suddenly kicked open from the outside. He nearly jumped out of his skin in fright, swiveling his head in terror. When he saw Ambrella, he let out a breath of relief, "OMG! OMG! Are you trying to scare me to death?"

Captain Freddie Hodgson, noticing the other's grave demeanor and the gun in his hand, suddenly stood up, frowning, "What do you think you're doing, Ambrella?"

"Sir, from this moment forward, I'm taking over the ship."

"??! What are you trying to do?"

"Rebellion!"

Freddie Hodgson stared wide-eyed in disbelief, "You're going to betray the United States?!"

The soldiers nearby also looked on in horror.

The word "betrayal" seemed to deeply provoke Ambrella. Flames of rage burned within him, and he charged forward, grabbed Freddie's collar, and slammed him against the control panel.

"I'm a pure Christian! Since my grandfather's time, we have served the U.S. military. He was a World War II veteran who died on the Pacific battlefield; my father was a Vietnam War veteran who shed blood for the United States."

"But what was the outcome?"

"It wasn't me who betrayed the United States, but the United States who betrayed the people — trading loyalty for the interests of those lofty capitalists, abandoning us!"

Ambrella shouted passionately, completely agitated, spraying spit onto Freddie's face as he spoke.

Freddie, seeing the man's state, didn't dare utter a word. He was truly terrified.

"Rest assured, as long as you don't act rashly, I'll let you go afterwards."

Ambrella waved his hand, and the soldiers behind him stepped forward, tying up the captain.
