Working as a police officer in Mexico
Chapter 828 - 449: All Americans Aspire to Mexico! (Happy 2025!!!!)

Texas. Austin

In front of the State Legislative Building.

Thousands of Americans held banners that read, "Break away from the damn U.S. Government, we want the Lonely Star Country of justice!"

Leading the charge wasn't some random person but a female state legislator. She held a megaphone, loudly exposing the shady ties between the Red Shoes Club and the U.S. Government.

She urged the Governor to deploy the National Guard to the state borders and to defy the U.S. Government's punishment of Mexico.

"Justice cannot be killed!"

"We demand respect! We demand the truth!"

National Guard police officers in helmets and holding shields stood as if facing a major enemy.

Washington was still echoing with gunfire, public order was in complete shambles, with 17 to 18 officers already fallen in the line of duty.

The National Guard had taken control of the local streets...

Other states had also sounded alarms, fearing incidents might break out.

But in Texas, the "Rebellion Front" still saw people stepping up to cause trouble.

On a balcony across from the State Legislative Building.

The two leaders of Hydra, known in intelligence bureaus across the globe as "Ghosts," Heinrich and Reinhard Tristan Eugen, were leaning against the railing, watching the scene unfold.

"What a beautiful spectacle," Heinrich, wearing glasses and exuding the demeanor of a petty villain, clicked his tongue twice and downed his glass of red wine with delight.

His personality was extremely violent—no, destructive. He reveled in the sight of everyone disintegrating into nothing under his "schemes."

He loved danger!

Compared to Heinrich, his deputy Reinhard Tristan Eugen was far more "handsome" and also more composed. He gazed at the crowd causing the disturbance and said, "The higher-ups want us to reach out to Eldridge Cleaver from the Black Panther Party."

"What can that chef do? He's just a washed-up nobody now," Heinrich sneered disdainfully.

Before joining the Black Panther Party, the man was an ordinary refugee working as a cook in a restaurant.

American newspapers once called him a "gourmet."

Later, after the U.S. Government cracked down on the Black Panther Party, he spent several years in prison. Upon release, he returned to his old profession but secretly maintained contact with his old comrades.

"The General requested it," Reinhard glanced at him and said.

That shut Heinrich up immediately. Furrowing his brow, he said, "Then you go talk to him."

"Fine."

Hydra's boss Heinrich suddenly felt a bit annoyed and turned to walk back into the room.

As he slid open the large glass door, he paused, "Reinhard, Hydra has its fair share of dirty laundry. Not everything needs to be reported to the General. We wouldn't want to spoil his mood—don't you think?"

Without waiting for a response, he walked away.

Reinhard heard this, squinted his eyes, and murmured to himself, "But... Hydra belongs to the General!"

Of course, he believed the man was loyal to Victor, but when power was in your hands, who wouldn't want their say to dominate within the organization?

Currently, Hydra had over 15,000 auxiliary personnel scattered worldwide, growing rapidly.

One could only say...

Heinrich's ambitions were swelling...

Looking out over the horizon, Reinhard smiled. Go ahead, cause a fuss. When the General becomes displeased, death won't be far away for you.

Some people always think too highly of themselves.

"Cheers, to myself." He raised his glass toward the setting sun.

December 23rd.

Three days after the Washington riots, the situation and conflicts became even more intense.

The night before, someone had set fires outside the White House, and some even tried to climb the walls to break in. This situation overwhelmed Acting President James Dan Quayle.

He declared martial law nationwide and delivered a televised address that afternoon.

Sitting behind a desk, his expression was solemn as he looked into the camera:

"Ladies and gentlemen, the United States has reached an incredibly dangerous point. We urge everyone to remain calm. Violence is never an acceptable course of action."

"We are also aware that overseas forces are manipulating events behind this uprising. We advise them to stop promptly—America will not tolerate such provocations!"

"We will not allow anyone to interfere in the internal affairs of the United States."

He talked for about 40 minutes, but listeners were almost falling asleep.

The "Mexican Workers' Party Newspaper" ran a headline the next day: "Double Standards!"

"James Dan Quayle's speech was all nonsense. He didn't address the public's concerns or propose any solutions to deal with those damn capitalists. Instead, he just asked people to shut up!"

"Such a country, such a system, such a leader, is simply idiotic."

"A nation that cannot give its people a sense of security is doomed to decline. A nation that prioritizes capital over its citizens is destined to fail."

Seeing this newspaper, James Dan Quayle was so enraged when he arrived at work the next day that his blood pressure spiked.

His head spun, and he almost collapsed.

Richardson, his office advisor, quickly stepped forward to support him, asking nervously, "Sir, should we call a doctor?"

Terrified he might drop dead right there.

If he ended up like Old Bush, it would be a genuine joke...

James Dan Quayle waved it off. Born in 1947, he was only 44, still in excellent health—except that, in just a few short months of serving as Acting President, he had fallen apart.

His body had deteriorated, his wife had cheated on him, and his child had become rebellious...

What had he gained?

A pile of crap!

In future history books, if his name appeared, it would undoubtedly bear this comment: The worst Vice President and Acting President in history.

"Can't I just leave office peacefully?"

James Dan Quayle sighed heavily.
