Li Hongqi and a few others tried to stop Shen Yunfang from leaving, but they all ran away when she gestured as if to kick them. Yunfang then politely said goodbye to the leaders and strolled away.

Seeing that this approach was ineffective, Hongqi still wanted to freeload at Agricultural University. However, after Principal Wang became aware of the situation and listened to such a spirited debate, he immediately called the security office and sternly demanded that they remove Li Hongqi and the others, instructing the gatekeeper to deny them entry to Agricultural University from henceforth, on pain of being held responsible.

The security office was very efficient in enforcement, and in less than ten minutes, the group of four was publicly evicted from the campus, restoring a semblance of tranquility to the grounds.

At the school gates, Li Hongqi and his group cursed loudly, railing against Shen Yunfang, the leaders of Agricultural University, and everyone at the institution. Many people witnessed the spectacle of their public tirade that day and pointed and gossiped about them.

"What should we do now, Hongqi?" Zheng Guilin reverted to acting like a delicate flower, clutching Li Hongqi, unsure of what to do next. In this unfamiliar place, she felt at a loss.

Li Hongqi watched as the two older ones competed in the cursing match and pondered for a moment. He felt it was too frustrating to just leave like this. He was the sort of person who, even if it didn’t benefit him, would try to find a way to cause others harm.

"What else can we do? We’re probably not going to get the money, but since she treated us like this, we can’t let her off easily," Hongqi said darkly.

"How can we make it difficult for her? We’ve already approached her school authorities," Zheng Guilin, more naive than Li Hongqi, couldn’t think of as many ways to be malicious.

"Hmph, we’ve done about as much as we can with the school. With so many students, I refuse to believe that everyone will side with Shen Yunfang. As long as there are a few who dislike her, she won’t have easy days ahead. Next, we’ll go to her house. Even if we can’t get inside, I’ll make sure her neighbors know exactly what kind of person she is," Li Hongqi revealed his plan.

"Ah, go to her house? Do you know where your sister-in-law lives?" Zheng Guilin asked curiously. If they knew where Shen Yunfang’s house was, why had they chosen to stay at the school for the past two days instead of confronting her directly at her home?

"I don’t know exactly where, but I asked the female student who delivered money and meal tickets to us yesterday. She said Shen Yunfang lives in a neighborhood not far from here. Let’s ask around. I refuse to believe we can’t find her," Li Hongqi plotted in his mind.

Zheng Guilin had no objections to her husband’s proposal. After a brief discussion, they took their mothers back and found a place to stay.

Because they had no money, Li Hongqi ultimately led them to a hostel near the university. Initially, they wanted to stay in the cheapest bunk bed room, but Zheng Guilin and her mother disagreed. In the end, they had no choice but to spend more money on a four-person room.

Once they were settled, Zheng Guilin’s mother, with a worried face, approached Li Hongqi to discuss, "Hongqi, this can’t go on. We hardly have any money left. If it really won’t work, let’s just go home." She was disheartened, having not anticipated that their money-seeking trip would be this difficult. Now it was clear that getting the money was impossible, and she was ready to retreat.

Li Hongqi glanced at his mother-in-law. "Even if we go home, we’ll need money to buy train tickets. Do you have any on you?" He had brought some money with him, but he hadn’t planned to take it out unless absolutely necessary.

He wasn’t the only one with this idea; Zheng’s mother thought the same. How could she come to the Capital without bringing some money for contingencies? After thinking it over, Li Hongqi discussed a plan with his mother-in-law: "Mom, looking at it now, only the two of us are capable of doing something. We can’t rely on Xiaolan and my mother. How about this: we split up. I’ll go find money, and you stand watch at the door and see if you can follow my second sister-in-law to find out where exactly she lives." This was essentially asking Zheng’s mother to track Shen Yunfang and determine in which complex she resided.

Zheng’s mother always seemed to be on the same wavelength as her son-in-law. As soon as she heard his suggestion, she understood what he meant. After thinking it over, she nodded, "Okay, then I’ll go look around the entrance when I have nothing to do. But you, do you know anyone here? How can you get so much money? Hongqi, we can’t be doing anything illegal or disorderly, this is the Capital, after all." Zheng’s mother was quite self-aware. Back home, she might act a bit more brazenly, where her own men knew a few people, but here in the Capital, they were nobodies.

"Mom, don’t worry. I’m not that kind of person. Alright, you don’t need to worry about it. I’ll definitely be able to get the money," Li Hongqi said, not explaining how he would obtain the funds, just that he would eventually secure it.

Having agreed on a plan, the two of them split up that afternoon and each set out to act.

Li Hongqi tidied his clothes and confidently walked into the Agricultural University campus.

Without the two elderly ladies accompanying him, the gatekeeper didn’t spot this troublemaker and let him slip into the university.

Once inside, Li Hongqi immediately went looking for the student Wu from yesterday. When Wu gave him money and meal tickets, she had mentioned which department and class she belonged to. Li Hongqi asked around and soon found her.

Wu was perplexed by Li Hongqi’s visit, but after talking with him for a while, she quickly became excited. She went into the classroom, asked the teacher for leave, and then, with her small group of friends, followed Li Hongqi out.

Li Hongqi didn’t really have any good methods to raise money. He just thought the donation event Wu had organized before seemed quite successful, so he wanted to take advantage of Wu’s self-righteous vigor to squeeze out some more cash.

Feeling needed, Wu was full of pride and eagerly assured him, without a second thought, that she would organize another donation event for him.

Li Hongqi still had some sense. He figured that after the past couple of days’ commotion, most of the people at Agricultural University would be aware of what was happening. Holding a donation event there wouldn’t be very effective. But if he moved the event to another university and had his mother put on a good show of crying, maybe they could hoodwink a bunch of people.

Fortunately, Wu knew someone at another university in the Capital, which could serve as the venue for this fundraising scheme.

Thus, they hit it off right away and agreed to go the next morning.
