The next day, before dawn had even broken, Li Hongjun and his wife were already up. Shen Yunfang took out some porridge and steamed buns from the space, and the two of them had a quick bite before getting to work.

Li Hongjun put on his cotton-padded jacket and went to the entrance of the village to wait for the truck so he could guide the driver. Meanwhile, Shen Yunfang went into the house to pack up the bedding they had laid out the night before.

"Hongjun, you’re back. I was thinking you’d be here in a couple of days. Did your sister-in-law and the kids come too?" Wu Guoqiang heard some noise outside and hurriedly came out to see. Sure enough, he saw a big car parked in front of the yard next to his house, and Li Hongjun jumped out from the passenger side.

"Okay," agreed Li Hongjun readily. "Yunfang, you hold the child and go wait over at the sister-in-law’s next door. When we’re finished moving things here, I’ll come and get you." It’s not easy sitting in a car all day in the same position.

"Sure, then I’ll trouble the sister-in-law for a bit. You guys take it easy moving things in. Just clean out a spot for us to sleep tonight. We can sort out the rest when we have time." Shen Yunfang held the child and got out of the car, instructing before she left.

"Alright, don’t you worry." Li Hongjun followed behind his wife, greeted Wu Guoqiang’s wife, then sent his own wife in before starting to work.

"Yunfang, I’ve been looking forward to seeing you. Come on in quickly." Wu’s sister-in-law was an enthusiastic person. Wu Guoqiang and Li Hongjun had always been good friends, so naturally, she wanted to build a good relationship with Shen Yunfang as well.

The room was warm, so she wasn’t worried about the child getting cold. She undid the wrapper, and little Pangpang finally got to move his tiny hands and feet, happily cooing and gurgling.

"Oh my, this chubby baby is really adorable." Wu’s sister-in-law couldn’t help but love him when she saw his little arms and legs; she went up to touch him a few times.
