Chapter 282: Chapter 218 Dragon Ascension Summoning
"Have you guys heard? A Teleportation Gate to the Dungeon has appeared in Val City!"
"What? Are you sure you didn’t get it wrong?"
"I’m not wrong, it’s definitely Val City, as true as can be! Just now, Luluwo from the Skyrim Strategy Group, no wait, the New Strategy Group, was personally shouting it out in the square with a megaphone!"
"Does shouting with a megaphone make it credible?"
"Hey, are you just trying to pick a fight with me? Come on, they even showed a video of it, let’s go over and take a look!"
In the tavern, the adventurers, drunk on alcohol, pulled each other along to the square.
The square was bustling with people, a huge and conspicuous notice board towered at the center, and in front of it, a bonfire designed to mimic those from Sain Dungeon was fiercely burning, with railings set up around it.
Was the bonfire being turned into a kind of spirit symbol?
The size of the notice board here had grown several times over the past days, and it was filled with dense information.
However, compared to the constantly updating board during Sain’s initial anomaly, the speed of updating information has slowed down significantly now, with more emphasis on details.
This suggests that the major content has been unearthed, and what remains are small details that require people to dig deeper.
How detailed? Such as "The Fran Undead Team’s right hand hits stronger than the left," "Gollum will enter a state of imbalance after its hard horns are damaged," and so on.
What’s noteworthy is that on the left side of the bulletin board, one-third of the area has been specially separated to create a new section, its name——
[Monster Weapon Construction Formula]
The most conspicuous formula is written as follows:
Fifteen Green Bear Beast fangs + two Green Bear Beast claws + three pieces of Green Bear Beast Skull Armor + a decent quality weapon + burning incense and prayer = Green Bear series weapons!
Comment from the information provider: Increasing the amount of fangs and claws can enhance the sharpness of Green Bear weapons, but excessive input might cause forging failure, or result in the weapon having bizarre negative effects.
A quick glance over this section of the board reveals that it’s filled with combinations of different Monster names and Monster materials and what weapons or equipment they can lead to.
What are these things? And why are adventurers paying more attention to them than to the Endless Reincarnation (Meat Pigeon)?
This is the "Equipment Forging System" set up in the Forest Area, as previously discussed by Gong Qiying.
Specifically, there are two hidden characters residing in the Forest Area, namely the Weapon Master Elu cat and the Equipment Master Elu cat, living in different tree holes, requiring adventurers to search the map to find them.
After finding them, you can hand over the materials obtained from Monsters to the Elu cats for forging, and wait a few hours to receive the weapons and equipment!
Since the discovery of the two cat masters, their popularity has visibly surged, consequently making people start exploring the formulas for equipment forging.
Because the Elu cats accept all the Monster materials offered by adventurers, and incorporate them all into a single weapon/equipment.
Thus, the number, part, and quality of the materials provided by adventurers would influence the quality of the forged weapons and equipment.
For example, giving more fangs increases sharpness but decreases durability, while shells and scales can increase defense power but also significantly raise the weight.
Some might question, blacksmith shops outside can also forge with Monster materials, so why bother with the uncertain Elu cats?
Because the weapons and equipment they forge possess various special Combat Skills that adventurers cannot resist.
To be more specific, recently a Combat Skill called "Dragon Ascension" has become widely known among a small circle of adventurers who have forged a foreign weapon called "Tachi." There’s some kind of Magic Power in these weapons and skills that causes their owners to be unable to suppress their desire to "Dragon Ascend," hurrying to the Forest Area every day as soon as they wake up.
Besides "Dragon Ascension," there’s been a buzz among adventurers about "Super Release," "Ghost Transformation," and other Combat Skills, all acquired from Monster Equipment forged by the Elu cats.
Outdoor blacksmith shops absolutely cannot forge weapons with these kinds of skills, and in terms of craftsmanship, the cats completely outshine Bed City’s Blacksmiths.
Moreover, there are restrictions on the Monster materials that can be used for forging.
After defeating a Monster, there will be one to five glowing spots that appear on its body, and only these glowing parts can be taken to the Elu cats for forging.
The non-glowing parts are definitively rejected by the Elu cats, leaving adventurers no choice but to carry them out of the Dungeon to sell for money.
In order to obtain a Monster weapon that suits them, a large number of interested adventurers spend all day in the Forest Area of Sain Dungeon, battling Monsters for materials and carefully exploring the right ratios to forge weapons and equipment that match perfectly, and sometimes inadvertently end up with useless junk.
Regrettably, Monsters in Sain Dungeon, after dying, won’t reappear until the next day. Ordinary Elite Monsters like the Green Bear Beast and Big Thief Dragon typically spawn two or three at random, while advanced Elite Monsters like the Female Fire Dragon and Swift Dragon only appear once a day, and their type is random.
However, the Blast Scale Dragon, acting as a police, is always there, never absent!
No matter how you look at it, this equipment forging system is seriously liver-destroying. If it were in a game, it would be cursed out harshly.
