Chapter 167: Chapter 154: Death Knight, and a New Wheelchair?
Warrior Pot Carl?
When Maru touched the Summoning Mark, a familiar Spiritual Body suddenly appeared before everyone.
It was the Warrior Pot they had rescued under the siege of Monsters.
His body surface was still crusted with cracks, but it had been rudimentarily repaired with Wei Pot Material, looking somewhat better than before, at least the contents wouldn’t keep leaking out.
The repair was rough, perhaps it couldn’t even be called a repair, it was merely stuffing whatever could plug the holes with Wei Pot Material without the help of a Wei Pot Master; that was all the Warrior Pot could manage.
Looking at the scarred Warrior Pot Carl, it was the first time Maru felt reluctant to summon an Assistant.
Because of Starfire Church’s active performance, the Sun Warrior along with the Assistant mechanism had become widely known; the adventurers struggling with the maps were overjoyed upon seeing the Summoning Marks, wishing they could pull in more good brothers to help.
Unfortunately, there’s a limit to the number of Assistants one could summon, with a maximum of three at a time, and with each summoning, the strength of the BOSS would also increase.
Maru had never summoned an Assistant, after all, with their capabilities, they could handle most situations, and when they couldn’t, even summoning Assistants was futile.
However, if she could see the glittering golden Summoning Marks of the Sun Warrior during an exploration, it would feel as if everyone was being spiritually uplifted, creating a sense of "everyone’s with me in tackling the Dungeon."
"Do I summon?" She was somewhat indecisive.
Leon pondered for a while, then said, "I’m curious."
Originally, the Monsters in the Dungeon could be summoned as Assistants; he had thought it was only people from different spaces that could be Assistants.
If I summon him now and then run over to the Tomb Room, would I still be able to see the Warrior Pot? It should be impossible, the journey is too long, and...
After being in the Dungeon for so long, he lost track of time outside, but since everyone had spent a long time at the Meat Pigeon stage, that meant—
This day is about to end!
After defeating the Boss Monster behind the Fog Gate, they probably won’t see the Death Ritual Bird anymore.
Well, adventure never happens overnight; it always has to be gradually.
Touching the Summoning Mark, Warrior Pot Carl was summoned; he crossed his arms and struck a pose of a powerful being, and if everyone hadn’t seen him being powerless under Monster attacks, they would have been quite intimidated.
When greeted, he would respond, but only by slightly swaying his body.
"Ready? Then let’s go," said Leon.
"Wait!"
Maru suddenly ran to the side, hanging the garlands given by the Little Pots on a protruding pillar; she didn’t want them damaged in the upcoming battle.
Leon smiled knowingly and hung his garland too; thereafter, everyone’s garlands were hung on the pillar, scattering the gloomy atmosphere of the Dungeon with the life brought by the flowers.
"Why are you looking at me?" Gapar was unmoved, his garland still on his head, "Do you think the Monsters can touch me?"
Of course, that was unlikely, so Sword Saint became the only person who approached the Fog Gate still wearing a garland.
The Warrior Pot was the last "person" to enter; he looked back at the garland on the pillar, feeling invigorated as he walked.
Beyond the Fog Gate was a Tomb Room, the chill felt as if it was piercing into one’s bones.
Before everyone could make out who the Boss Monster was inside, suddenly, there was a crackling of lightning!
The lightning instantly formed into a shape like a long spear, but that was not all; more, smaller Thunder Spears also formed around it.
"Thunder Spears?" Maru exclaimed, she had seen Steeran use such magic-like items.
"No, those aren’t the Thunder Spears you know." Leon sensed something amiss, for the Thunder Spears used by Steeran, although appearing like lightning, gave off a sun-like warmth and heat, as if their nature wasn’t purely electrical.
But the Thunder Spears in this Tomb Room were sheer lightning!
Because this prayer is called [Knight Thunder Spear]!
The next second, several Thunder Spears carrying jumping arcs struck towards them, their power was extraordinary, if touched, they would probably be charred!
"Scatter!"
As everyone dispersed to dodge, another Knight Thunder Spear struck, they seemed sentient, targeting actively!
After firing four or five shots, the Thunder Spears finally quieted down, and at this moment, people could finally see the enemy clearly.
[Death Knight (Axe)]
It was a skeleton Knight exuding an aura of death, wielding a pair of axes filled with lightning.
For some unknown reason, when Leon saw the Death Knight with axes at that instant, he suddenly held onto his Swift Slash.
My Swift Slash is trembling; there must be a new wheelchair nearby.
A vague sense tells him, the opponent’s weapon and his Reverse Sword Swift Slash are of the same type—of the same type of wheelchair!
"Interesting."
Leon licked his lips, eyes gleaming with a desire for victory.
But, the Death Knight’s physique didn’t seem like one that Swift Slash could handle easily, well, for now, watch it with the usual techniques.
The Death Knight aggressively charged at Leon, each swing of his axe was fierce, targeting vital points.
Leon blocked with his sword a few times and tried dodging, ultimately concluding—this guy is on par with the Molten Furnace Knight.
The past Molten Furnace Knights had given them a tough fight; but times are now different, like the Straw Hat Pirates regrouping two years later in the Strategy Group, everyone had improved.
Perhaps, not as exaggerated, but enough to handle the Death Knight!
Tal and the Warrior Pot acted as shields to protect everyone, Drew handled healing and buffs, Maru handled disruptions, while he, Leon, and Dal were the sharp blades piercing the enemy.
Perfect cooperation in roles; so what about Gapar?
"I’m not interested," feeling bored, he casually took a seat on a coffin, speaking to Dal, "Lad, watch your breathing."
"Ah? Oh!"
Dal was momentarily unresponsive until Gapar repeated himself, and only then did he realize that the other party was giving him guidance.
An overcoat in exchange for the Sword Saint’s guidance?
Under Gapar’s guidance, he kept adjusting his combat stance and gradually entered a wonderful feeling—comfortable, unexpectedly feeling as if he were bathing in a hot spring during battle.
But there was also an odd feeling; blindly following Gapar’s instructions made him feel like a marionette. He had to absorb as much experience as possible in this battle and improve on his own.
It was only when Dal’s Fran Greatsword fiercely clashed with the Death Knight that he realized, astonished, how he ended up being the only one fighting the Death Knight?
Turning his head, he saw the others step aside, cheering him on.
Don’t just cheer, help out!
In his panic, Dal immediately received a deep wound on his shoulder, but fortunately, he adjusted his stance in time and forced the Death Knight back with a sword strike.
"Stabilize your mentality," said Gapar.
Dal took a deep breath, and the Fran Street Dance reemerged on his body; his agile movements and powerful attacks added several wounds to the Death Knight, making them evenly matched.
Good, there’s a chance!
A happy expression appeared on his face, leading him to execute the final sequence of the Fran Street Dance.
The last attack had its drawbacks; though powerful, its speed and recovery were a bit...
The Death Knight immediately seized the opportunity, and with a "pop," he turned into a bolt of lightning and dove towards Dal in an instant.
Thunderbolt Flash, an extremely pure Thunderbolt Flash!
"What?" A bad feeling arose in Dal’s heart, and he saw the Death Knight spin his axe in circles—
Lightning Tornado Slash!
The continuously spinning axe instantly swept Dal up, his cries of "oh oh oh" audible until the thunder faded and he was flung out, smoking all over.
Dal lay on the ground, his body twitching non-stop, looking extremely miserable.
"..."
The sudden turn of events shocked Leon and the others.
Leon widened his eyes, his gaze intensely fixed on the Death Knight’s axe; he could feel that the recent circles must be a combat skill of this axe.
A wheelchair, undoubtedly a wheelchair!
He really wanted it!
But more surprises followed.
The cape behind the Death Knight suddenly shifted like a pair of ethereal wings, the aura of death intensifying.
Entering the second stage!
Tal rushed forward to engage him, buying time for Drew to heal Dal. Maru flashed behind the Death Knight, her curved swords slashing fiercely.
But in that moment, the Death Knight suddenly grabbed Tal’s face and, with immense strength, hoisted him into mid-air.
Something was being sucked out of Tal!
Tal’s life force rapidly drained, while correspondingly, the Death Knight was quickly regaining health!
Why is it another Monster that can heal?
"Get lost!"
Tal used his monstrous strength to break free, but by the time he landed, the Death Knight had already switched targets and turned into lightning, rushing towards Maru.
"Yikes!"
Maru shuddered, her mind screaming to run, but the Death Knight was already prepared to circle, leaving nowhere to hide!
Oh no, I’m going to die again! Terrified, she closed her eyes as the heat of the lightning scorched her skin.
The Death Knight moved, and a horrific tearing sound exploded!
But it was accompanied by a loud "bang!"
Maru nervously opened her eyes to witness an unforgettable scene in her life.
The Warrior Pot, full of cracks... it delivered a Rising Dragon Fist that sent the Death Knight flying!
"Thud!"
The Death Knight heavily smashed to the ground, appearing a bit dazed; how had the always ignored Warrior Pot suddenly become so brave?
It surely couldn’t be just to protect Maru?
At that moment, the Warrior Pot vividly demonstrated why it was dubbed "Warrior," fearlessly clashing with the Lightning Tornado Slash using a big windmill, even though its body’s cracks were multiplying!
Each of its movements added new wounds, and its roughly patched body simply couldn’t endure.
Apparently, that burst was its limit, but it bought precious time, and the whole team was healed.
"I’ll kill you!"
With his dark explosive hair, unable to tolerate the insult, Dal was fueled by Wolf Blood, determined to smash the Death Knight into pieces!
The fierce battle soon drew to a close.
Overwhelmed by the furious team, the Death Knight knelt down and turned into ash, leaving only a white light point.
But before they could celebrate, they saw the Warrior Pot also fall down.
Then, it exploded into pieces!
