Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Alright Then, Who Do You Want Dead?
As Vivita hesitated...
Inside Rose Valley town—
The mingling scent of mist and blood filled the air, an oppressive atmosphere thick enough to choke.
Dark red blood crusted over broken bricks, and fading flames flickered through the ruins. The occasional crackling of cinders only made the deathly silence more eerie.
With a single strike, Lilith had turned this "romantic town" into a wasteland.
And she didn’t care. How many humans she’d slaughtered, how many Demons she’d crushed underfoot, how many buildings she’d razed—none of it mattered to her.
All she cared about was the agreement she had made: since she’d agreed to help, Ashu owed her compensation.
What exactly that "compensation" entailed... she wasn’t entirely sure.
All she knew was that her body yearned for it. She felt hot, her head foggy, her whole being longing for a tight embrace...
So, after expelling every warmongering fool from the city, she immediately withdrew her power and turned back to find Ashu—to claim her reward.
—
At the center of town, inside a stone fortress reinforced with Magical Essence, even the air itself seemed to ripple and distort.
That heat wasn’t from fire—but from Lilith, the half-divine, half-demonic being whose very presence radiated scorching desire.
The walls of the stone fortress were gradually tainted by Demon energy, as lines of Abyssal Runes began to emerge.
These runes glowed with a ghostly violet light, pulsating in rhythm with her breath, bathing the entire space in an atmosphere of lust and temptation.
Ashu slowly backed away, until his back pressed against the warm stone wall. Logically speaking, he ought to focus on the bigger picture—check on Shava, assess Vivita’s condition.
But the reality was, ever since he’d stepped outside Lilith’s Thorn Castle in the Netherrealm, he had been inhaling her drug-laced mist. The fact that he’d held out until now was already a testament to his considerable willpower.
Anyone else would’ve long since snapped—dragged some innocent "Rose Valley" townsperson to the floor and ravaged them like a starving beast.
Inside the stone fortress, Ashu’s breathing had grown rough. He suddenly pulled Lilith’s slender waist into his arms, while his other hand grabbed her snowy, voluptuous chest without the slightest mercy.
"Mmh..."
Lilith let out a soft moan, her black nails raking deep scratches across his shoulder, drawing blood. Her purple vertical pupils burned with the fire of pure desire. Just the sight of those eyes made Ashu lean in and kiss her.
Her dark battle armor had already dissipated into mist, replaced once more by the sheer black veil from before. The fabric clung to her form in just the right way—enough to tease, enough to provoke. As their movements grew more heated, a fine sheen of sweat formed on her exposed skin, glistening seductively in the dim light.
"A body made for sin... Shava, oh Shava, I owe you one—you really pointed me to paradise," Ashu thought with immense satisfaction.
Without Shava’s plea, he would never have encountered a peerless temptress like Lilith.
At this moment—
Lilith, too, was entirely driven by lust. She parted her lips and sank them into Ashu’s neck, while Ashu, for his part, was already preparing for the main assault.
The moment he thrust forward, Lilith couldn’t even speak—she gasped sharply, her enchanting face awash with pleasure, delight, astonishment, and the sudden realization of just how amazing this act could be.
Instantly, a surge of overwhelming power erupted between them.
A blinding violet light exploded around their bodies, and the Abyssal Runes on the walls blazed with renewed intensity, casting a glow that made Lilith’s ivory skin look as if it were lit from within.
A powerful wave of magic burst forth. Even the ground cracked in a spiderweb pattern as violet mist erupted from the fractures, filling the entire room.
"Little one... now I understand..." Lilith’s voice trembled with overwhelming ecstasy, dripping with seduction, her tone laced with that soul-snaring timbre unique to Succubi.
Suddenly, a faint purple marking bloomed across her lower abdomen.
Ashu looked down—and sure enough, it was the Succubus crest.
That flawless, aromatic belly—pure and smooth like white jade—had until now been unmarred.
But now, a pale trace of a Succubus rune shimmered there, glowing faintly in rhythm with Ashu’s movements.
Ashu looked into Lilith’s eyes, then glanced downward.
Clearly, judging by her words, she had broken through some kind of shackle—or more accurately, unlocked something in her bloodline.
Just as Ashu was piecing that together, a system prompt rang out in his mind.
[Lilith·von·Braille has acquired: Bloodline Power Intensified!]
[Critical Return! Vessel has received: Bloodline Power ×10 Amplification!]
In an instant, a force like a primordial beast exploded within Ashu’s body. That power surged like an invisible bomb, sending a violent jolt through his entire frame.
He was absolutely certain—he was human.
And the system’s return reward had amplified his own bloodline, not transformed him into a Succubus.
To someone from another world, it was easy to question the value of amplified human bloodline—after all, in so many stories, humans ultimately had to evolve into other species for power.
But very quickly, Ashu understood.
Previously, he had used a Magic Stone as compensation from the God of Deceit’s cult—a stone that could directly boost a cultivator’s Magical Essence limit.
Now, the sensation was similar. The difference? That time it was his Magical Essence cap that grew.
This time, it was his physical cellular capacity!
His cells could now store far more energy, function with greater vitality, unleash more explosive power—and live significantly longer!
"Little one... your scent... it’s intoxicating..." After her own intensification, Lilith nearly collapsed against Ashu, greedily licking the sweat from his skin, her every motion saturated with seduction.
Ashu felt like a roaring engine had been lit inside him, endlessly pouring out strength. Without pause, he kept pushing forward.
Finally, as he reached his peak, Lilith reacted like a cat that had caught the scent of fresh prey—she immediately dropped down beneath him.
"Mmm... gulp gulp..."
As a half-Succubus, this was the very first time she had tasted what could truly be called a Succubus’s food.
Ashu finally let out a long breath, his body relaxing.
"That reaction just now... was that a breakthrough?" he asked.
Lilith reluctantly cleaned every last drop before slowly responding, "Mmm... calling it a breakthrough isn’t quite right. It felt more like... a maturation. But who cares about that? I want more—I’m still so hungry."
"Hold it." Ashu grabbed her by her Succubus horn. "If you want more, you’ll have to work for it—just like our deal."
Crude as it sounded, there was wisdom in it. For a naive half-goddess, half-demon like this one, you had to train her like a dog: teach her that good behavior earns rewards, and disobedience leads to punishment.
"Fine. Who do you want me to kill?" Lilith asked bluntly.
"For now, no one."
"No no no! That won’t do! Absolutely not! You promised! You said we had a deal—you have to give me a target! Or... just give me another taste?"
At this stage, Lilith had only just awakened the Succubus bloodline within her.
She hadn’t even unlocked her signature Succubus ability yet—Charm.
A psychic disruption skill.
If this had been a seasoned, well-practiced Succubus, she wouldn’t have bothered negotiating with her target. She’d have cast Charm the moment she laid eyes on him—draining him dry, feeding to her heart’s content, even if it meant sucking him to death.
It was precisely because Ashu saw this coming that he had to take control of Lilith immediately. He had to establish a subconscious system of rewards and punishments—before she awakened that Charm ability. Otherwise, once that power matured, he’d be reduced to nothing more than a walking food source.
"Alright then, how about this," Ashu said. "I need to test my current strength. Spar with me for a few rounds."
Since his bloodline had been intensified, he could clearly feel that his physical strength had leapt to a whole new level.
Under normal conditions, he had been at the mid-tier Magister level.
With "Reaper’s Resolve" active, he could push to mid-tier Grand Archmage.
But now, even without activating anything, he was already past mid-tier.
"Sure, easy," Lilith agreed immediately. Regardless of Ashu’s improvements, her power still overwhelmingly outclassed his. A few rounds of sparring would be no trouble at all.
In fact, halfway through the spar... she was planning to pin him down anyway.
Ashu looked around and said, "This stone fort has decent space. Reinforce it with some Magical Essence. We’ll spar right here."
"No problem—your wish is my command."
As she spoke, Lilith waved her hand casually. A layer of shimmering purple Magical Essence spread out, coating the walls like a reinforced barrier.
"Come at me~"
"Here I come!"
Ashu let out a sharp exhale.
He unleashed his full strength. Power surged like a broken dam, flooding through his limbs. A subtle reddish hue shimmered beneath his skin, resonating with the glowing demonic runes on Lilith’s body—as if some ancient, arcane communication had begun between them.
His fists and legs trembled beneath the sudden influx of power, but it wasn’t from instability—it was a rhythm of exhilaration. Every cell in his body was cheering wildly, basking in a strength it had never known. His blood ran hot through his veins, and every heartbeat pounded like a war drum.
Suddenly, he swung a simple, unadorned hook punch.
The air twisted with a shimmering blur. With a thunderous crack, his fist shot forward like a cannonball—crashing into Lilith’s arm.
The moment they connected, a shockwave burst outward—visible to the naked eye!
But despite the overwhelming force, Lilith’s arm didn’t budge. Her seemingly delicate skin only sank in slightly beneath the impact.
"PAH—"
The sound of the clash echoed through the stone fortress.
"Your strength has improved a lot, little one," Lilith said with a faint smile.
She’d held Ashu’s arm before—and back then, his strength was like a kitten’s. She could’ve picked him up with two fingers.
Now? At least he was a bobcat.
Ashu didn’t reply. He could sense the changes in his body.
From the power packed in that full-force punch alone, it was clear—he had definitely broken through.
He tested his strength a few more times and finally arrived at a solid conclusion:
In his normal state, he had advanced from mid-tier Magister to peak Magister.
