The dominating force in the Sea Lion Star System, the Star Network Community — a union of multiple civilizations with inclusive cultural attributes — preferred trade over invasion and slaughter.

Thus, the Ulyssian civilization enjoyed a relatively happy period when they first merged into the Star Sea. The investment bank of the Star Network Community built two Star Ports on the Ulysses Star and exported a large volume of interstellar goods to it. However, this period of prosperity came to an end with the arrival of the Ghost civilization, which had once caused the Dimension Disaster in the Initial Gate Star System.

The defeated Ghost civilization turned into a terrorist organization, and whenever they took action, disaster followed.

Their attacks forced the Star Network Community to retract its influence. The subsequent Flood Disaster (Insect Clan attacks) left the Star Network Community temporarily unable to attend to other matters. As time passed, and without its support, the Ulyssian civilization fell prey to the outlaws of the Sea Lion Star System's Chaotic Star Road, where any randomly chosen ruffian would be sentenced to hundreds of years of imprisonment.

They frequently caused trouble on the Ulysses Star, plundering its resources and depleting its population through continuous raids.

Fortunately, the Ulyssian civilization had several powerful A-level Superpower Users, and by selling off many assets to hire Interstellar Hunters, they had managed to hold out until now. But as assets dwindled, those A-level Superpower Users either fell in battle or fled. Now only Vic remained, and the Ulyssian civilization might truly be on the verge of collapse.
