Aeryon leave the room and Ayera close her eyes for a second, the tears dripping the side of her face.

Before she could sow this side of her to Aeryon. She did not want him to see her weak. Even more so right now, when she needs to remains strong for her tribe.

Then she takes a deep breath and opens her eyes.

Her eyes seems to have fire in it

"He did it. If not....how could my husband doesn’t know?" Ayera clench her fist. There is something that she understood when she talks with Aeryon just now.

He....really doesn’t know. And that is not possible. But it became possible if it’s because of that man.

"If he doesn’t know....then that means only one person could cover his eyes and ears. But if its him, how could my husband bear to punish him" This is why she did not say anything before.

Because if she said it, it might not only drain all the goodwill Aeryon has on her, she might even be accused of trying to alienate his husband with that person

Aeryon did not know all of this subsequent events that would happened the moment he rushed out from the Palace

Aeryon as he was about to mobilize his army then stop.

He thinks of something and his eyes narrows.

There was something he missed before. He was too anxious after listening to Ayera story and eager to send his army, that he forget this unease

But now as he thinks more and more, there were some words that Ayera had said before does seems to imply something

Now he feels something is wrong.

"From the very beginning" he mutters to himself. All of it feels wrong. The feast, the celebration, the awards and the ceremony....all of it.

Thinking about it for a moment, Aeryon also seems to see some threads of schemes and plots in this matter

And he has a suspicion. And so, instead of going to the barracks and the tents of the warriors to assemble them, he needs to solve this matter first.

"if it is really like what I think it is.....this would not be good at all" he thought in his heart. Thinking of this, he goes to Mayeux residence.

When the guards around Mayeux residence saw it was the Kan, they open the door and Aeryon rush toward Mayeux hall.

Between Mayeux and Aeryon, they were more than just advisor and lord. The superior and subordinate relationship between them is quite unusual.

When they are alone together. Mayeux always refer Aeryon by his name and the same for Aeryon who treated Mayeux casually like he treated his sworn brother Belarion.

Aeryon look at this friend of his and his eyes narrowed.

"About what, my Kan?" Before, he said his name.

Now, he said his title.

Before, it was informal.

Now, it is about business so it is formal.

He tolerated many of the overreach of power by Mayeux because he knows how loyal Mayeux is to him.

Zlata tribe, Durka tribe, and many of the other tribes that he had conquered, some of the worries they have, they could not express it honestly in front of him

Mayeux would see this and assuage their fear and convince them of the current path. Now they are loyal and did not need any persuasion but when Aeryon first conquered them and force them to submit and force them to be vassal, they of course have worries that they would be liquidated.

But the one thing that made him trusted Mayeux the most is his ambition.
