Chapter 352: Two Warriors
Chapter 352: Two Warriors
The saber is about to hit and to those who are close to the scene of the battle, all of them seems to be holding their breath, one side hoping that the saber would hit, the other hoping it would not hit
But Ota is quite calm even when he realizes that the saber is only inches away from his neck.
Swoosh
The saber flashes and the dividing line between life and death is only inches away.
A smile still on his face, Ota simply tilt his body back, the curved saber slashes, but missing his neck by just an inch.
In that moment, the warrior holding the saber widened his eyes. He never expected Ota to dodge his attack. But just before he could retract back his hand. Ota makes his move
"An opportunity!" This is Ota thought at that moment. Maybe from the beginning this was his plan.
To draw him in and then took the opportunity when there is space open from the attack.
But in the mind of the warrior holding the saber, his face pale almost immediately when Ota make his move.
Ota long hand rushed forward and hold that person arm. It startles the warrior before realizing that the force on his hand is like a stone pinned on top of his arms.
"Hahaha!" he laughs like a crazy man. But those who knows Ota knows he is just excited. The harder the obstacle the more he is excited
"release m-Arghh!" the warrior did not even manage to form a full sentence before pain overwhelms his entire arm
The arm is broken
And then swiftly, Ota moves to that person hand
And Ota crushed that person hand just by squeezing it with his hand. The warrior by this time has already released his saber.
"Arghh!" before that person could process the pain, he was pushed by Ota hand and fell down to the ground.
But before Ota could savour the victory, his ears perked up and his face quickly turns solemn again.
He could feel the wind behind him and without turning back, he makes his move.
Behind him, a spear tip is rushing towards him, like it is about to pierce the sky, the wind howling
Swoosh!
The hand moves, the glaive follows and what happened was when the spear was attacking him from behind, Ota other hand is already bringing back the glaive back to counter the attack.
The spear pushed forward but before the spear could reach Ota, the spearman felt something wrong.
He felt something is wrong with his vision and then he realizes it. His head is flying toward the air as he watches his own body still on top of the horse.
In that one moment, Ota swiftly swings his glaive and cut him down. The neck of that person is like a fragile branches of a weak tree.
With one slicing motion, the bones on the neck was cut and the head flew up into the air leaving the body behind
And Ota was doing it like it was nothing to him
Ota did not let these three horseman stop him. His target from the behgining has always been Yurmuk sicne the moment this great warrior of the Bolghar shows his presence in the battlefield.
All others are just small fries not worthy of his attention.
One of them die and Ota urged his horse froward.
The horse follows the brutality of his master and stomp down its hooves on top of the head of the man with the curved blade.
One stomp and the skull of that person exploded, his brain matter melded with the soils and his blood paints the ground with red.
Ota then rushes forward and swing it toward the archer
"Begone!" Ota shouted
Swish!
And just like that, with one swing of his glaive the head of the archer was separated from his body.
The archer could not provide any resistance to Ota advance. The glaive in his hand is like the weapon of a Death God
Ota has always like using his glaive.
Because the long reach allowed him to strike from a distance, cutting down opponents before they could even raise their weapons in defense.
And with his strength, the glaive he has is heavier than others yet it is because of this, the destructive power of his glaive is very potent.
He is using his glaive like he is using a lightweight spear.
Easily killing people like reaping harvested fields
The battle seem long but it only took around thirty second.
Thirty second and three horsemen lost their lives. Morale of the slaves and servants and soldiers of these three horsemen shattered almost immediately
Ota did not linger in that area
Instead he continue, his horse rushes forward, his glaive swing left and right.
"Swoosh!"
"Argh!"
"Run!"
Those who are quick on their toes quickly rushes away or dodge it
Those who are not fast and unlucky would get cut by the glaive.
Each cut, unless you are a strong person, or have a sturdy armor, it would take your life.
More and more horsemen rushes towards him.
But Ota is the kind of warrior whose fighting prowess increased more and more as he fights
Like he is gathering momentum.
The more momentum he gathers, the stronger and faster his attack becomes. Like a forming of storms
Dozens of warriors was caught in this whirlwind of death.
Blood splatters like some kind of weird rain that colours the green grass and make the cold solid ground damp and sticky
The blade of the glaive gleamed ominously as it swings left and right, sometimes arced through the air, sometime stabbing, sometimes cutting.
Ota swung it with precise, powerful motions, cleaving through armor and flesh alike.
Each stroke was a testament to his skill and strength.
"Stop! Halt. I am a warrior of the Bolghar"
"Here is U-" before the enemy even have the time to announce his name, Ota glaive would already cut the enemy warriors.
The more it is like this, the stronger Ota become.
There is screams and there is even some warriors who become scared and retreated. Some small warrior clans look at how crazed Ota behaviour is and they quickly retreated.
Ota is carving a path through the enemy ranks, his movements fluid and unstoppable.
The enemy formation, already weakened by their earlier losses, began to crumble under his relentless assault.
One man alone break the situation in the battlefield.
"OTA!OTA!OTA!OTA!"
There is people chanting his name.
These people are the people of Khagai.
The more they chanted, the louder the chant become.
And the chant is like a prayer, infusing Ota with more strength.
There is strength of mind and there is strength of body.
Both are needed in a battle.
Now, Ota has both.
He is already strong I the strength of body and as the chants echoes all around him, it is like he encouraged by the chanting of his name, become braver with each people he killed, become stronger with each people he decimated.
Blood follows him and around him is the zone of death.
Behind Ota, the Khagai warriors follows him like a disciple of Death, helping Ota kill the fishes that escape from the net.
The formation that was broken once again structured itself and steadily advancing forward.
There is a line that is clear amidst the battlefield and this is the line that Ota had created. And not before long, Yurmuk also appears.
The warrior give way to these two men
The din of battle around them seems to quieted. The chant of Ota name come from behind him
And the chant of Yurmuk name come from behind him
Khagai and Bolghar two Great Warriors are facing against each other
"OTA!OTA!OTA!"
"YURMUK! YURMUK! YUMRUK!
Yurmuk appears from the crowd. He is tall and imposing. With seven feet height his height even dwarfed Ota.
His armor is dented in many places. It is full of scratches and his entire head is full of sticky red liquid. All of it is the blood of his enemies.
The blood of the Khagai people
Yurmuk has shown to the people of Khagai why Bolghar tribe is one of the strongest tribe in the west.
When he fights, his ferocity overwhelmed everyone.
And his unmatched skill in combat conquered everyone.
Yurmuk is on his horseback and his eyes narrows as his gaze is locked onto Ota. It is like there is daggers and swords coming out the eyes of these two people, looking at each other.
for these two warriors, the sound of battle all fade away.
And even there is thousands of men chanting their name, they probably did not notice it.
They are so into the zone, focusing on each other that everything just fades away.
They both locked each other gaze onto each other. Looking for an opening, looking for a weakness.
Yurmuk when he enters into the battle, he would use his big mace.
But just right before he was about to meet Ota, one of the warriors managed to let him let go of his mace. His mace broke and so, now he carried a massive battle axe.
He has a spare weapon.
But he is more adept in using the mace.
He would have liked to use his mace to kill the famous warrior of the Khagai, to taste the blood of such person to stick to his mace.
It is unfortunate that he had to make do with his battle axe. The battle axe edges is sharp and as such, the blood would not stick.
