Way of Overlord
Chapter 183: Sincerity

Chapter 183: Sincerity

Aeryon is a noble and his father is a noble

His father held the position of chief, and many of his close relatives occupied influential roles within the tribe.

This elevated his status significantly and made him a figure that should be respected among the elders and the older generation.

Even more so after Aeryon expand the tribe, surpassing his father.

These individuals respected his heritage and acknowledged his leadership, often guiding and mentoring him, and holding expectations that he would eventually become an even more glorious chief than even his father

Even before Aeryon become what he is today, he is of noble birth

His father is the chief, his uncle is the elders and most of his relatives all hold the position of power.

How could normal people dare come close and strike a conversation with him?

Conversely, Belarion status was different.

His distinction came from his innate strength, a rare and powerful attribute that set him apart from ordinary members of the tribe.

In this regard, he was one of the young ones, akin to the common warriors and those born without noble heritage.

The unique bond that Belarion shared with Aeryon was a result of their mutual experiences and the visionary vision of Aeryon father act of establishing Belarion and Aeryon into a sworn brotherhood despite the significant social gap between them.

Only Belarion who was born with innate strength could dare speak so rudely and even establishes sworn oath to be brothers with the son of the chief.

While Aeryon was favored and looked up to by the tribe’s elders and noble figures, Belarion held a special place among the younger warriors, who saw in him a source of dreams.

His friendship with Aeryon and their sworn brotherhood symbolized unity beyond bloodline and birth right, which resonated deeply with the younger generation.

They admired him not for his heritage but for his immense strength and the feats he had managed to do.

Belarion approachability and shared experiences with his comrades made him relatable and endeared him to the younger warriors, forming a distinct connection with them.

But even though Belarion is the sworn brother of Aeryon, he is not distant with the other people of the tribe.

Belarion loyalty to the Brolgadhr tribe was deeply rooted in gratitude and the strong sense of camaraderie that defined his relationship with the tribe.

Rakarys, Aeryon father and the chief of the tribe, played a significant role in shaping Belarion character and outlook.

During his youth, Rakarys did not exploit Belarion immense innate strength as a mere weapon, but rather provided him with shelter, care, and support.

This benevolent treatment stood in stark contrast to how many individuals with innate strength were often used solely for their combat prowess by other tribes and leaders.

Rakarys compassionate approach allowed Belarion to experience a more nurturing and humane side of the Steppe, instilling in him a deep sense of gratitude and loyalty to the Brolgadhr tribe.

Belarion expression of loyalty went beyond mere words.

He actively participated in the life of the tribe, helping with various tasks and engaging with its members.

This contributed to the tribe’s unity and collective strength, as it fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility.

Even more so after the tribe expands

Belarion readiness to contribute and support the tribe was a testament to his character and commitment to the people he considered his family.

By displaying gratitude and loyalty toward the tribe that had treated him with compassion and by actively engaging in its daily life, Belarion exemplified the values and principles that the tribe held dear.

And such loyalty, how could the people of the tribe do not repay? Of course, they will have to repay.

And how do they repay it?

Sincerity

Sincere feeling.....this is hard to gain. How many powerful people in the world wanted sincerity but never get it?

How many people yearn for it but are not worthy of it?

Belarion is sincere to his people. And the people is sincere towards him.

This is why Belarion is the heart of the army.

In the Brolgadhr tribe military, he was not just a warrior or a leader to those young warriors; he was like a big brother to most.

He was the heart of the army, the one they turned to in times of need, the one who not only gave orders but also led by example and shared their burdens.

Within the structure of Aeryon army, where captains commanded one hundred men and formed the backbone of the force, many of these captains were from the original Brolgadhr tribe.

They are the one whose clan is related to Aeryon

Their unwavering loyalty to Belarion was a testament to the trust and brotherly bonds that had grown among them over the years.

The loss of Belarion would be more than a physical absence; it had the potential to shatter the morale of the entire Aeryon army.

His absence would leave a void that could not easily be filled.

For Aeryon, the well-being of Belarion was not just about saving a brother in arms; it was about preserving the very essence of the tribe’s spirit and unity.

"I did not yet reform the army" Aeryon knows that without the army, this army, he could not withstand the onslaught of others

Of course, if he rely completely on the system, he could go about it alone.

With the system, as long as he is diligent enough in completing the quest, there is no place on this world he could not go.

But, his ambition, fuelled by the knowledge of the tragic future of his tribe, made him realize that unless he calms and pacify the Great Steppe, unite the tribes, they would not be able to stop the torrent of the times and they will be swallowed by the times

The death of Belarion could pulverize the morale of Aeryon army

And both Aeryon and Mayeux knows this.

So, Belarion could not fall and he must not be defeated

Aeryon shouted and shouted. But the chaos of the battle drowns his shout

"I should have a skill that could allow me to roar loudly" he thought to himself. But he did not dare to open his system right now.

This is not a game.

If he opens the system, the world would not pause for him.

It would be such a tragic story, if he opens the system right now and then as he is searching for such skill , his head get pierced by an arrow.

That would be too unfair. After all, he still have so many things to do and he has plans all over the world.

Aeryon face tensed further as he watched Belarion continue his relentless advance, seemingly oblivious to Aeryon attempts to get his attention.

Belarion did not hear his roar.

His shout fell to deaf ears.

"I need to get closer," Aeryon thought resolutely, understanding that words alone would not reach Belarion in his berserk state.

With a determined resolve, he urged his horse forward, its powerful muscles propelling it through the melee.

Aeryon raises his strength and his horse like sensing his intention galloped past a few warriors, his sword is slashing left and right.

Aeryon sword moved with precision and grace, each swing cutting down any opposition in his path.

Arrows whizzed past him, and he relied on his instincts and honed reflexes to expertly evade them.

Left and right, attack are coming in.

As Aeryon continued his daring charge toward Belarion through the chaos of battle, his skills and instincts were put to the test.

Arrows whistled through the air from different directions.

Aeryon, with uncanny precision, deflected the incoming projectiles using his sword or, in some instances, allowed them to harmlessly swish past him.

Spears and knives, hurled by the desperate defenders, came at him, each a potential threat.

Aeryon horse is his steed of survival as well as swiftness, and it carried him nimbly through the tumultuous battlefield.

With calculated grace, he used his sword, his horse’s movements, and his own agility to deflect or dodge these deadly projectiles.

The closer Aeryon got to Belarion, the more the city’s defenders swarmed around him.

It was a relentless storm of chaos, but Aeryon was resolute in his mission to reach his comrade, even if he had to cleave his way through the ranks of the enemy.

Aeryon could hear the shouts of the captain of the Yan people.

Aeryon learn some of the Yan character and he could understand the words of the Yan people.

From their shouts and screams, he could hear the orders from the captain of Yan.

"I did not expect them to have such organization"

They are trying to swarm him to stop him from coming to Belarion aid

Aeryon could not help but feel like there is someone ordering all of this

But right now, is not the time to think about this.

Swoosh!

"Shit!" Aeryon curses and he kicks the air below his feet

Swoosh!

With a high leap toward the air, he jumped down from his horse when someone manage to spear his horse down.

His horse was pierced by the spear, neighed in pain as it stumbles into the ground. Fortunately, Aeryon has already jumped away before the horse crashed into the ground.

With that kind of impact, even with Aeryon enhanced strength, he would surely be hurt.

Thud!

Falling to the ground with a graceful landing, Aeryon kick the ground, his body hurtles forward like a rushing cannon ball

BOOM!
