Wandering Meteor -
Chapter 80 Proton Bomb
Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Proton Bomb
The actions of the Twin Stars were eye-catching, the Wandering had noticed them long ago.
When Lu Chen saw the Roche limit being used in such a manner, he was quite shocked!
At the same time, his wariness towards both the Twin Stars and the Double Star Civilization, this life community, deepened.
After all, the fact that the Twin Stars could consume a Constant Star so neatly and decisively meant they were definitely not of a kind nature!
And judging by the Twin Stars’ mass, even after consuming 40 Constant Star Masses, their own mass amounted to only about 70.
There are so many ordinary stars with Wu Yizi in the Galaxy Nebula, yet they do not plunder those. Presumably, without oddities like Gravity Stones, they could only rely on their own gravity to rip apart and absorb stars smaller than themselves, no wonder the Twin Stars seem old, yet their growth isn’t fast enough!
The Wandering felt this was a bit analogous to dwarfs in humanity.
From this, it’s clear that stars value birth more than living beings do; without fortuitous encounters, most would stay the same all their lives.
No wonder the Twin Stars were so excited upon seeing a star smaller than themselves—it turns out that all the ordinary stars they encountered along the way were too massive to plunder.
It may seem like a mere twenty Constant Star Masses.
But for the twin-born stars Kim and Silver, this was an unexpected windfall.
Keep in mind, they and the Double Star Civilization had become a life community for over a hundred thousand years. Since they helped the Double Star Civilization become a Tier 2 civilization, the latter began plundering Hydrogen from space and transferring it within the gravity reach of the Twin Stars. Yet, over a hundred thousand years, they only increased by 0.5 Constant Star Mass.
It was not even comparable to the several Hydrogen Nebulas they encountered during the escape plan activation process!
It was precisely the realization that direct plundering would be faster that under the drive of desire in their hearts, they began to target weaker civilizations and stars.
Now, having consumed that ordinary star, the Twin Stars looked satisfied and asked ahead, "How about it? Are they willing to surrender?"
"They are not willing; they say..."
The Double Star Civilization was about to relay the words of the Wandering but was suddenly interrupted.
Silver of the Twin Stars coldly stated, "If they are not willing, then take action. I can feel that they have plenty of Intention, particularly that Green Planet. Absorbing it will definitely bolster the strength of both Kim’s and my Intention!"
Even though stars could already be self-sufficient in Intention, they wouldn’t refuse extra; furthermore, the information in the opponent’s Intention might be very valuable!
After consuming the ordinary star, the Twin Stars had clearly become somewhat inflated.
But thinking about it makes sense, they had successfully consumed a star, let alone two mere planets?
Although these two planets were part of a Celestial Civilization, they were insignificant in front of them; if they were not willing to surrender, then obliterate them!
Immediately, the Twin Stars Kim and Silver ordered the Double Star Civilization’s Super Battleships to open fire, and Silver went to support the Super Battleship personally.
On one hand, they were concerned about the Super Battleship, and on the other, they wanted to end the war quicker.
Whiz whiz!
In the vastness of space, a super battleship spanning 50,000 meters suddenly opened fire, launching two interstellar missiles like flashes of lightning, aimed separately at Wandering and Green Star.
Despite Wandering and Green Star’s desperate evasive attempts, they couldn’t escape the missiles’ lock-on due to their colossal planetary bodies, and in the end, were hit by two massively powerful missiles.
Wandering was relatively unscathed, having promptly compressed the density of the Metal Planet, the explosion merely leaving a kilometer-wide crater.
However, Green Star wasn’t so lucky; being an ordinary planet with its surface covered in countless plants that, although withering since moving away from the Constant Star, had not completely died off. Now, in the wake of the bombardment by second-level civilization missiles, a quarter of the planet’s surface was affected by the explosive shockwave, which almost scraped off a layer of the planet’s crust, turning innumerable plants to dust in the explosion.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A terrifying shockwave penetrated deep into the earth, causing tectonic shifts and triggering a massive earthquake across all of Green Star!
"Damn it!"
Seeing the Double Star Civilization resort to force after failing to persuade them to surrender, Wandering couldn’t help but burst into rage.
It was different for Wandering itself, being a Metal Planet after all, but Green Star was just an ordinary planet, now suffering due to Wandering’s association, stirring feelings of guilt and fury within.
Immediately, without another word, Wandering turned around and charged straight at the Double Star Civilization’s super battleship.
Green Star, realizing that Wandering was rushing to defend it, quickly tried to dissuade it, "Wandering, don’t be rash..."
Unfortunately, it was too late for Green Star to speak. Wandering flew backward while the super battleship gave chase, both moving at high speeds and meeting in an instant.
However, the Double Star Civilization, proving worthy of being a life symbiont with the Twin Stars, was already aware that celestial civilizations could use Gravity Increment. Therefore, they altered their flight path outside Wandering’s gravitational range to avoid it, while also launching a Proton Bomb to test the Metal Planet Wandering’s endurance limit.
As the Double Star Civilization rarely battled with celestial civilizations, let alone a metal planet, they decided to launch their most powerful Proton Bomb, due to a lack of intelligence on what weapons would be effective against metal planets, thereby attempting an attack while simultaneously gathering information.
The Proton Bomb was currently the most powerful weapon of the Double Star Civilization, utilizing Annihilation Technology at its core, not merely a proton-based weapon.
Moreover, their ingredients differed from those used by Lu Chen, as the Double Star Civilization used protons and antiprotons for annihilation. Although not as visually spectacular as electron annihilation, proton annihilation would release electrons, antineutrinos, bottom antiquarks, up quarks, bottom quarks, and many other basic particles.
The energy released by proton annihilation was far more terrifying than positron-electron annihilation, roughly a hundred times that of nuclear weapons.
One could say that protons are one of the substances that unleash the most energy upon annihilation.
Additionally, among the basic particles released after proton annihilation, bottom quarks, and bottom antiquarks can still annihilate further, although this next-level weapon technology is still being tackled by the second-level Double Star Civilization. If chain annihilation could occur twice, the weapon’s power could increase by more than tenfold!
The Double Star Civilization’s idea was indeed good, but they underestimated Wandering.
At this moment, Wandering did not wish to waste too much time, as after all, a Constant Star was fast approaching, and it was imperative to conclude the battle swiftly.
However, facing the Proton Bomb, Wandering didn’t dare to be negligent, nor did it wish to endure any further attacks. Thus, it immediately employed the Covalent Bond Strike, a stream of Gold Liquid jetting onto the Proton Bomb, instantaneously disintegrating it into atomic state, causing it to vanish into the void of space.
Simultaneously, Wandering pressed its advantage, transforming its metallic body into an immensely large Planet Giant Sword with three giant engines emerging at the hilt. Once all engines were ignited, they propelled the Planet Giant Sword at incredible speed, cleaving towards the super battleship as the Double Star Civilization, having never witnessed such a spectacle, frantically maneuvered the super battleship in an attempt to dodge.
It looked as though an invisible Space War God was wielding a giant sword in pursuit of the super battleship.
In the end, after a fierce battle, Wandering, transformed into the Planet Giant Sword, cleaved the Double Star Civilization’s super battleship in half, both sections exploding into a firestorm in space, the spacecraft soldiers of the Double Star People all perishing together!
