Chapter 67: Chapter 67 Constant Star·Lu Chen
At this very moment, Cang Ming really couldn’t reconcile with the turn of events.
His plan had seemed perfect, and Lu Chen had indeed not chased in to disturb his plundering of the Hydrogen, everything was evidently developing in the direction he had anticipated.
Success appeared to be within reach.
However, he had not expected Lu Chen to still have a trump card!
That bastard Lu Chen could actually increase the Annihilation Light Column to a thickness of 300,000 meters, which was utterly monstrous!
Cang Ming had previously observed that the Annihilation Light Column was only 10,000 meters thick and thought that was Lu Chen’s limit. That’s why he took the risk and decided to plunder the Hydrogen, racing against time with Lu Chen because the speed of plundering would be much faster than the speed of dispersal by the Annihilation Light Column, so the ultimate outcome would definitely be his recovery to the Constant Star Mass first!
But now, all his beautiful dreams were completely shattered as soon as Lu Chen revealed his trump card.
Cang Ming realized that the reason Lu Chen did not chase in might be because he had a trump card up his sleeve. Without it, Lu Chen would probably have chased after him directly.
Indeed, there are always higher mountains, and deeper plans.
Now, Cang Ming’s planetary body was bombarded and dispersed by the 300,000-meter-thick Annihilation Light Column, but to his surprise, he did not die instantly.
As his planetary body expanded outwards from the dispersal, it was compressed back by the intense Constant Star Wind, which slowed down the tearing of his form and degree, allowing the Consciousness Field to not shatter instantly but rather to just develop dozens of cracks. It seemed that between the Consciousness Field binding the Intention and the body, there was an unknown connection.
When he saw the Consciousness Field cracking, Cang Ming was very excited, thinking that he still had a glimmer of hope and immediately controlled some of his Intentions to drill out of the cracks.
However, as soon as they left the range of the Consciousness Field, Cang Ming’s Intentions were instantly killed by the external energy and high temperatures, transforming both the Intentions themselves and the information stored within into radiant energy.
It seems that the Consciousness Field is not something that confines Intentions, but rather protects their existence.
Seeing that there was no hope for survival ahead, and with Lu Chen now charging in from behind, absorbing his dispersed gases, Cang Ming knew he was utterly without hope.
Despite his reluctance, he was powerless to change the situation.
It was humiliating for him, a member of the Star Clan and a Constant Star, to be killed by a planet, completely losing face for the Constant Stars.
To preserve his last shred of dignity, Cang Ming unhesitatingly controlled his massive number of Intentions, like a swarm of tadpoles spotting a new outlet, to rush crazily outside of the cracks, immediately disintegrating into nothingness in the terrifying high-temperature energy.
However, Lu Chen’s absorption speed was incredibly fast. The huge planetary body spun, creating a vortex-like suction force, absorbing most of the gases in a mere moment, and also incidentally absorbed the Intentions Cang Ming had not managed to escape through the cracks, likely around one-tenth of them.
After absorbing Cang Ming Star, Lu Chen immediately began to eradicate the Intention imprints and reviewed some of the information stored within.
After erasing all the Intention imprints, and having reviewed the information, he then understood what the crisis of the giant nebula that Cang Ming had spoken of earlier was about. With the help of the information from the Intentions, he also gained a certain understanding of the Three-leaf Nebula, knowing that there was a very safe and tranquil area ahead.
Thus, Lu Chen controlled his planetary body and flew into it.
Inside the tranquil area, the Constant Star Wind was very weak, and the gravities canceled each other out, making Lu Chen feel much more relaxed.
At this moment, Lu Chen finally had the time to pay attention to the status of his planet.
Now, his planetary mass amounts to over eighteen thousand, and besides the mass absorbed from the Constant Star Wind, more than five thousand units of the planet mass were absorbed from Cang Ming.
However, among the Cang Ming mass absorbed, only about forty percent is Hydrogen, twenty percent is Helium, and the rest of the elements together roughly account for forty percent.
Looking at the proportion of Hydrogen, this absorption was somewhat of a loss!
This also caused Lu Chen’s original ninety-five percent Hydrogen ratio to drop to around ninety-one percent.
However, fortunately, Lu Chen also obtained some memory information from Cang Ming, and he learned of a critical threshold for the mass imbalance of a triple star. He could completely use the remaining Gravity Stone in his body to plunder the Constant Star Hydrogen from the star’s surface, as long as he didn’t exceed that threshold, there would be no issue!
"Wandering, keep an eye out for any other lifeforms approaching, and notify me promptly if there are any." Before starting the plunder, Lu Chen instructed Wandering.
Wandering had been monitoring the battle at the center of the Three-leaf Nebula and knew early on that Lu Chen had utterly triumphed. It happily responded, "Okay, I will not let anyone disturb you, Big Brother!"
"Thanks for your hard work!"
Lu Chen immediately began using the Gravity Stone to enhance the upper limit of his gravity, plundering one of the stars from the triple star.
The celestial atmosphere on the star’s surface began to stir under the pull of gravity, forming a terrifying orange storm. The storm’s diameter was even more extensive than Lu Chen’s form, with countless rays of energy being ejected, seemingly entering an active period of the Constant Star in an instant.
As the storm on the star’s surface intensified, the fearsome orange storm began to break free from the star’s gravity under the pull of gravity. It flew towards Lu Chen like a brilliant orange galaxy and then poured down onto the planet like a celestial waterfall, causing violent surges in the planetary atmosphere and creating terrifying Planet Storms.
In the vast Universe, time slipped away bit by bit.
Unbeknownst to him, Lu Chen had already plundered a considerable amount of Constant Star Hydrogen. His mass skyrocketed, instantly increasing from eighteen thousand to twenty-five thousand...
When the planetary mass reached thirty thousand, a qualitative change occurred.
The substantial mass extended a powerful Gravity, and the pressure from the Gravity compressed inward furiously. Since he was in the center of the triple star, Lu Chen’s planetary temperature had already reached ten million degrees. At this moment, Hydrogen Nuclear Fusion was ignited in the central region. As more and more Hydrogen Element joined the nuclear fusion reaction, the range of the Nuclear Fusion Zone rapidly expanded to one-tenth of his size. Only then did the nuclear fusion reaction stabilize, and Lu Chen truly evolved into a Constant Star!
Lu Chen’s mass now equaled that of a Constant Star Mass.
The mass of the Hydrogen he plundered was still some distance away from the critical threshold of the triple star’s mass imbalance. So he continued to plunder the Hydrogen from the star’s surface crazily.
Gradually, Lu Chen’s Constant Star Mass grew from one to two, three, five, ten, fifteen, twenty...
When the Constant Star Mass reached forty, Lu Chen felt it was about time to approach the critical threshold, and thus he gave up on the plundering. Otherwise, if he caused chaos in the triple star system and ended up like Cang Ming, or even got directly devoured by the immense Constant Star, that would be too tragic.
Sometimes, being a sphere, you really can’t be too greedy. You have to make decisions based on the situation!
Lu Chen satisfactorily withdrew the Gravity and slowly flew away from the triple star’s orbital path, informing Wandering: "Wandering, accelerate from the side and catch up. We must move forward!"
"Eh? Aren’t you going to absorb a bit more?" Wandering asked, puzzled.
Lu Chen said, "No, absorbing more could lead to danger, and we may not have much time left. Hurry up and catch up, it’s about the crisis of the giant nebula..."
