Chapter 393: You can discipline me all you want...

AN: Happy Lunar New year and happy reading. Thank you so much for the golden tickets and gifts. You guys are amazing.

Valkyrie rose from the ground with the true aura of a Vanguard-class assault mech surrounding it. Inside the cockpit, Xiang Yu grinned, his eyes glowing like twin flames. "Since no one disciplined you," he declared, his voice smooth yet dangerous, "this prince will do it on your parents’ behalf."

Sirius, perched in his own mech, responded with a sly smile. "You can discipline me all you want when you become my wife." Xiang Yu sneered at the audacity of his opponent. Without warning, he lunged forward, his movements fluid and lethal, a predator on the hunt.

The battlefield crackled with tension as Valkyrie glided forward with a deadly grace. Its sleek, metallic form glimmered under the harsh lights, a predator in the night. Opposite stood the blood-red mech, a hulking mass of menace ready to finish its opponent off.

Xiang Yu had long observed with keen insight. He had recognized that Sirius’s mech was a Sniper-class assault unit, designed for long-range attacks. It was a dangerous weapon, but in close-quarters combat, it was vulnerable. Xiang Yu grinned ready to execute his plan.

His fists clenched tightly, knuckles white with the strain of his fury. The cockpit vibrated under the pressure of his wrath as if the very walls were afraid to contain him.

Sirius barely had time to react. He dodged the whip that lashed out toward him and fired a volley of rapid missiles. The air crackled with their launch, bright streaks cutting through the sky. Xiang Yu countered swiftly with decoy flares, each one bursting into a dazzling display, but he did not relent. He surged forward like a raging bull, relentless in his pursuit.

Sirius, feeling the weight of Xiang Yu’s charge, unleashed more missiles, but they seemed to have little effect. Xiang Yu’s mech darted around with an agility that was almost supernatural, slipping through the chaos as if it were a shadow. The decoy flares danced around him, but they only added to the confusion.

Suddenly, a warning flashed across Sirius’s screen. He glanced down, his heart sinking as he realized he was running low on ammunition. He finally realised his mistake. He had directly fallen into Xiang Yu’s trap and would have to fight in close combat.

Xiang Yu showed no signs of slowing. With a powerful thrust, he rammed into Sirius’s mech. The impact sent shockwaves through Sirius, who had not braced himself for the collision and was pushed back, reeling from the force.

Xiang Yu’s fist surged forward, striking the crimson armour with a force that sent shockwaves through the air. Sirius’s mech staggered, struggling to regain its footing. No mercy flickered in Xiang Yu’s eyes. He followed with another punch, then another, each blow echoing like thunder. The cockpit of Sirius’s mech buzzed with alarms, warning lights flashing wildly, but Xiang Yu was a tempest, relentless and unyielding.

In this moment, he was a vision of wrath and power, a force of nature that could not be contained. His rage burned bright, fierce as the flames of the underworld, and anyone who dared to challenge him faced dire consequences. With a swift motion, he gripped the back of Sirius’s mech, forcing its head down onto his knee. The impact sent Sirius reeling, pieces of his machine scattering like broken dreams.

Xiang Yu seized the opportunity, grabbing Sirius’s mech by the collar. He swung his fist with all his might, but this time, Sirius was ready. He blocked the attack and countered with a punch aimed directly at Valkyrie. Xiang Yu reacted swiftly, intercepting the blow with a calculated block before sweeping the leg of Sirius’s mech.

Both machines crashed to the ground in a cacophony of metal and sparks. Xiang Yu gritted his teeth, the adrenaline surging through him. In a fluid motion, Valkyrie’s arm extended, and the superheated plasma blade ignited, casting an eerie glow across the battlefield. The weapon hummed with power, capable of slicing through armour and disrupting electronics with its intense heat.

Xiang Yu prepared to deliver a devastating blow when Sirius’s voice cut through the chaos. "I was just thinking about it before, but now I am serious. It’s either you come at your own will, or we will go to war and force your father’s hand until he hands you over willingly."

Xiang Yu had always known was a lunatic but he didn’t think he was this insane. "Crazy," he muttered under his breath, his anger rising. If Han Xin was here he would have told him that Sirius was a conqueror by nature. He thrived on chaos. The more unattainable something was, the more havoc he would create to grasp it. And he would never tire of a challenge like Xiang Yu.

As the plasma blade connected with the red mech, a hissing sound filled the air. The blade sliced through metal like butter, leaving a trail of molten destruction. Xiang Yu watched as the heat surged, causing the internal systems to sputter and fail. Sparks exploded in a dazzling display, illuminating the dark cockpit. Warning lights blinked frantically around him, each failure a countdown to the inevitable.

Inside the cockpit of the red mech, Sirius grimaced. The heat enveloped him, a relentless pressure even within his protective seat. He could feel the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Yet, amidst the pain, a defiant smirk danced on his lips. His eyes glinted with a reckless challenge as he lifted his gaze to meet Valkyrie’s imposing figure.

"So, this is how it feels to be beaten by my wife," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. The floating screens captured his expression, broadcasting it to the arena and audience scattered across the galaxy. Gasps filled the stands, a collective breath held in awe and disbelief.

As the red mech crumpled to the ground in defeat, Xiang Yu felt no triumph wash over him. The crowd erupted their cheers and gasps creating a chaotic symphony. But for Xiang Yu, a weight settled in his chest. The battle was over, yet the arena remained thick with tension.

The lingering hum of the plasma blade dimmed, marking the end of a monumental clash, but it felt more like the beginning of something darker.
