Chapter 373: Private treatment session

Han Xin raised his hand to caress Xiang Yu’s cheek but found himself too nervous to speak. He wanted to ask what he did wrong that Xiang Yu iced him out earlier but he couldn’t find the words.

"We can spend time together later," he said before his tone turned serious. "Just don’t disappear like this morning."

Han Xin felt a pang of guilt having finally realised what Xiang Yu was upset about. He was upset about his sudden disappearance in the morning. He wanted to say something, but Xiang Yu turned around to wash his hands and check his reflection in the mirror.

Feeling lost, Han Xin embraced him from behind, enveloping him with his entire body. His hot breath brushed against Xiang Yu’s neck and shoulders as they both looked at each other through the mirror.

"Stay here for a bit and take care of it," said Xiang Yu softly before letting go of Han Xin’s embrace and leaving the room. As Han Xin watched him go, he couldn’t help but feel regretful. He wished he could just take him back to the palace and make up for his crimes.

Xiang Yu stepped out of the bathroom, the pleasurable sensation still lingering. He found the steward waiting just outside, his brow furrowed and eyes filled with concern.

"Your Highness, are you unwell? Did you have another outburst?" the steward asked, his voice low and urgent

"Don’t worry about it," Xiang Yu replied, forcing a smile. "I feel better already." That’s because he had already gotten a private treatment session.

The steward let out a relieved sigh and gestured for Xiang Yu to follow him. They walked together through the dimly lit corridors toward the dining area. As they entered the grand hall, Xiang Yu felt the weight of his father’s disapproving gaze fall upon him. Instinctively, he lowered his head in apology, though inside, he was still giddy from his playful encounter with Han Xin moments before.

His father motioned for him to sit, and Xiang Yu noticed he was gesturing at the seat beside Princess Sienna. Opposite him sat Crown Prince Sirius, whose eyes seemed to scrutinise his every detail. As he settled into his chair, Sienna smiled at him, a bright and practised expression. Xiang Yu thought that her smile was just a part of the act they had both agreed to maintain in front of others. He had no idea that he had steamed up with a pig teammate.

Princess Sienna had long since abandoned her role. She had genuinely considered marrying Xiang Yu after being captivated by his charm and the alluring scent that surrounded him. He was the perfect alpha, his pheromones soothing and inviting

Across the table, Sirius’s gaze lingered on Xiang Yu’s lips, which appeared slightly swollen. He leaned back in his seat, watching Xiang Yu as he picked at his meal. Sienna chatted animatedly, her laughter ringing like music, but Sirius’s attention was elsewhere.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Han Xin entering the room with the staff. A bruise marred Han Xin’s lip, a mark that hinted at something more than a simple accident. Sirius tapped the table lightly, a smile playing on his lips as he considered the unfolding drama. Now he understood why Han Xin was so hostile towards him. He was not the judgmental type. As the crown prince, he enjoyed the company of many. It was only natural for an alpha to seek release.

His father’s many concubines had ensured a large family, so Sirius understood the ways of desire. Even if Xiang Yu had his own "side dishes," it would be acceptable. But if he ever married Xiang Yu, he would not allow Han Xin to linger. The thought of sharing his lover was unbearable.

If Xiang Yu could read his mind, he would have laughed heartily at the absurdity of it all. But for now, they all played their parts, unaware of the tangled web that was forming.

Soon the main course was finally served, and the rich aroma of the galactic Longhorn beast filled the air. Xiang Yu picked up his cutlery, ready to savour the meal, when Princess Sienna leaned in close. Her voice was soft and sweet as she asked, "Is that a prime cut of the galactic Longhorn beast?"

"Yes," Xiang Yu replied, glancing at her.

She smiled a cute, practised expression that made her look almost innocent. "Brother, may I have some?" She had learned this technique from the Republic StarNet forums that morning. Now, she was putting it to good use. Too bad it was wasted on Xiang Yu, whose heart was set on someone else.

"Would you like it?" he asked, raising an eyebrow

"No," she pouted. "If I eat too much of it, I am scared of gaining weight."

Xiang Yu understood her game. He had lived with two girls who would get upset when he refused a sugary snack. It meant they wanted to indulge, but not alone. He had learned all their little tricks thus Sienna was easy to read

"Would you like me to cut you a piece since I haven’t touched it yet?" he offered like a gentleman.

Her eyes lit up, and she smiled widely. "Yes, please."

As Xiang Yu expertly sliced the meat, Sienna’s gaze shifted toward her brother. The happy smile faded, replaced by a flicker of annoyance. Sirius on the other hand was watching Xiang Yu, his attention drawn to the way the man’s hands manoeuvred the knife with such skill.

The knife glided through the perfectly seared steak, and Xiang Yu’s fingers wrapped around the handle with confidence and grace. Each movement captivated Sirius, sending a thrill through him. He found himself lost in the moment, his gaze lingering far longer than it should have.

With a soft smile, Xiang Yu placed a piece of steak on Sienna’s plate. "Here you go," he said.

"Thank you!" she beamed, her joy genuine

Meanwhile, Sirius was consumed with thoughts of what those hands could do beyond slicing meat. He couldn’t help but wonder how those hands would feel wrapped around his hardness.

Across the room, Han Xin watched the scene unfold his jealousy that had just been doused by their activity in the bathroom, now boiling inside him. The feeling was sharp like claws scratching at the pit of his stomach. He was truly ready to dethrone the imperial lord right then and there and drag Xiang Yu to the marriage hall, to claim him as his own.

After the main course, dessert was served. In front of Xiang Yu sat the Celestial Crème Delight, a masterpiece of interstellar cuisine. The dessert was rumoured to transcend the senses, transporting diners to celestial realms. It came in a translucent bowl that mimicked a mini galaxy. The base was a silky, iridescent Starlight Crème, infused with delicate vanilla and floral notes from the planet Astraea.

Artistically arranged on top were Nebula Fruits, Aurora Berries, Nebula Peaches, and Celestial Grapes, forming a stunning mosaic. A drizzle of amber-hued Galactic Honey from the Lumina Flowers added a golden sheen, while a sprinkle of Moon Blossom Petals brought a touch of whimsy and a gentle floral aroma. Edible crystals decorated the dish, glinting like stars in the night sky.

Xiang Yu was so captivated by the dessert that he didn’t notice he was the only alpha at the table with something sweet in front of him. Even Princess Sienna, who had previously declined dessert in favour of tea, was now eyeing his dish with longing. He caught her sad, watery gaze staring at it.

"Would the princess love to try?" he asked, his voice light and teasing.

Sienna hesitated at first, her eyes darting between the dessert and Xiang Yu. "I shouldn’t," she replied softly.

"If you’re worried about the calories, it’s not that much. Besides, you look good no matter how you look," Xiang Yu assured her, his tone genuine. His words melted her heart, making her forget her reservations. Whatever he was selling, she was definitely buying it.

Though he meant it, Xiang Yu was mostly saying those things to maintain their act. He thought he would have the dessert later, back in his palace while hanging out with Han Xin.

For now, he watched as Sienna leaned in, her excitement palpable, ready to indulge in a taste of the celestial treat.
