Chapter 235: Which bedroom, mine or yours

Now, the same person who had no idea about dating was saying he could be even more considerate. How ridiculous, Han Zhan thought. He watched as Han Xin lingered, clipping Xiang Yu’s seat belt with a tenderness that was almost blinding. How could this man be his stern, cold-hearted cousin? It was unbelievable.

Han Zhan noticed Little Bai’s ears turning red, a clear sign of his bashfulness after witnessing Xiang Yu and Han Xin’s affectionate exchange. With a smirk, Han Zhan reached over and pressed down the stubborn piece of Little Bai’s hair that refused to stay down. "You two are traumatising Little Bai and me. Please, spare us single dogs," he teased.

Xiang Yu smiled, while Han Xin started the car, saying, "If you don’t like it, close your eyes."

Han Zhan began to wail dramatically, "Han Xin doesn’t like me anymore!" The two cousins engaged in playful banter the entire way, their laughter filling the car.

When they stopped at a traffic light, Han Xin glanced at Xiang Yu’s hand resting on his leg. He wanted to hold it but held himself back, his fingers twitching slightly. He couldn’t help but think he was being to forward. What he didnt realise was that Xiang Yu would be even more forward than him. This Demon King had been eager to experience this bliss of a relationship ever since Han Xin provoked him in the first world so yes, he was going to be forward asf.

When they reached the seaside villa, they found Lian and Mei struggling with their homework under Butler Qing’s supervision. Butler Qing was encouraging them, "You two are smart. All you need is to study a bit more, and you’ll be top students."

Lian asked, "Why should we be top students?"

Butler Qing was momentarily at a loss. "So you can go to a good university in the future and get really good jobs."

Mei pointed at Xiang Yu and said, "But Master didn’t go to university, and he has a nice job."

Han Zhan laughed, "Good point."

Lian added, "Besides, we plan on mooching off our master for the rest of our lives."

Mei chimed in, "Or we can get a job with Xin-ge."

Han Zhan’s jaw dropped. "You call Han Xin ’Brother,’ yet you call me ’Uncle’? That’s unfair."

Lian and Mei giggled. Han Xin said, "I don’t hire people who fail in school."

Mei retorted, "Then we’ll go to the army and come back to work for you, Brother."

Lian nodded, "Yeah, just like Master."

Xiang Yu chuckled, ruffling Mei’s hair and then Lian’s. "You do realise that the army doesn’t accept failing students either, right?" He gave them a knowing look, one that only the three of them understood. They knew they wouldn’t stay in this world long enough to reach that point. They were just passersby on a mission.

Soon everyone sat down for dinner, the clinking of cutlery and the soft murmur of conversation filling the room. Butler Qing was overjoyed to see them all together. For the past few days, things had reverted to the old ways, with everyone eating separately. The twins would always eat first because they went to bed early, or at least Butler Qing tried to get them in bed early. Han Xin and Han Zhan would eat together, but there would be bickering here and there. Little Bai and Xiang Yu sometimes didn’t eat at all, claiming they had eaten outside.

Butler Qing had been really worried that Xiang Yu was going to leave and had tried to mend things, but Han Xin wouldn’t hear of it. Now, seeing them all eating at one table and the tension drastically reduced, Butler Qing felt a sense of relief.

He placed the rose in a vase and asked Xiang Yu, "Sir, where should I place this?"

Xiang Yu glanced at the rose and turned to Han Xin, saying, "I don’t know. Xin-ge, where do you think I should put it?"

Han Xin swallowed, staring at Xiang Yu, who was tapping his leg underneath the table with his. Xiang Yu smiled, while Han Zhan lowered his head in resignation. These two would surely throw their love in everyone’s faces.

Butler Qing was confused as to why Xiang Yu needed Han Xin’s input on where to put the rose. Xiang Yu continued, "My bedroom or yours, Xin-ge, where should I put the rose?"

Butler Qing almost dropped the vase. What did he just hear?

Lian swallowed her food before asking, "Master, why would you put the rose in gege’s room?"

Mei chimed in, "Yes, don’t you have space in your bedroom?"

Han Zhan said, "The real question is, who gave him the rose?"

Xiang Yu put on a playful smile and said, "Who else?" while looking at Han Xin.

Han Xin’s ears turned red, and he lowered his head, looking like a bashful bride in the bridal chamber.

Lian and Mei exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of surprise and confusion. Butler Qing stood there, speechless, trying to process what he had just heard. Little Bai and Han Zhan, already too traumatized by these two, weren’t at all surprised. They simply continued eating, pretending not to notice the affectionate exchange happening right in front of them.

It was Mei who finally asked, "Master, what is going on?" The pair of them had put this plan in action behind their master’s back but they just didn’t think it would be this effective and this quick. They liked staying at Han Xin’s place. They stayed in a big house with the beach at their doorstep.

They liked Butler Qing and they could bully Han Zhan as much as they wanted. Plus the chef’s food was so good and they would tell him what they wanted to eat and he would make it. In fact, the chef was so happy to have these little ones around because he didn’t have to cook the same things each week like he was a broken record. So yes, they wanted to stay. Plus their master could get closer to Han Xin and be happy again.

They told Han Zhan tall tales, and as expected, he ate it up. As predicted, Han Zhan told Han Xin about it and now their master had a rose, and he was asking about which room to put the rose in. Their plan was so terrifyingly successful that they couldn’t help but praise their IQ. Who said they needed good grades to be smart?

As for Xiang Yu, he wasn’t stopping. Now that he had Han Xin right where he wanted, there was no slowing down. And if the Divine Emperor finds out he could just blame Han Xin. Han Xin kissed him first. It’s not his fault that he was provoked first. Just like Newton’s third law, for every action in nature, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This right here was the opposite reaction.
