Chapter 78: I Bite
Chapter 78: I Bite
Lilia mind went blank, overwhelmed by an unfamiliar, intoxicating ecstasy. She never imagined something as simple as chocolate could become this intimate.
As Zethan kissed her, the chocolate melting between their mouths, it felt like a slow, teasing exchange—a game of sorts, but far more intense.
Just when she thought she had adjusted to the sensation, Zethan deepened the kiss, reclaiming the chocolate that had softened against her tongue—only to return it to her moments later. The back-and-forth play left her breathless, her senses heightened beyond reason. A soft sound escaped her lips before she could stop it, but at this point, she hardly cared. Zethan’s tongue traced over hers, his movements deliberate, leaving her both stunned and utterly lost in the moment.
As the last traces of chocolate disappeared, he pulled away, his gaze fixed on her. Slowly, he licked his lower lip, where remnants of the treat still lingered. The sight of his tongue sent a shiver down her spine. How could something so simple feel so sinful? Even the way he tasted chocolate seemed to make him look...
Lilia swallowed hard, unable to believe where her thoughts were going. Ever since she had met this man, it was as if her mind no longer belonged to her. She felt things—new, confusing things—things she wasn’t sure she should.
Before she could steady herself, Zethan leaned in again. This time, he licked at her chin, dragging his tongue upward in a slow, heated trail until he reached her lips. A quiet gasp left her, her lips parting instinctively. He took advantage of that, brushing over them in slow, circular motions before finally pulling away.
Her eyes widened, her breath unsteady. Had all of that really just happened over a piece of chocolate?
Zethan smirked, his voice deep and full of promise. "We’ll continue this once we get back. We have plenty of time."
His words barely had time to settle before his expression darkened. In one swift motion, before Lilia could process what was happening, his hands were at her waist. Then, effortlessly, he lifted her as though she weighed nothing at all.
Her breath hitched. How was that even possible? She barely had time to react before she found herself seated on the plush leather of the car. The ease with which he handled her sent a wave of uncertainty through her—was she really that weightless to him? Or was it just another display of his impossible strength?
And then, she noticed it—the chauffeur was approaching.
The driver entered the car, his eyes flickering to the rearview mirror for a brief moment. Zethan, now composed, gave him a small nod. In response, the chauffeur bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment before starting the engine.
As the car smoothly pulled away, Lilia sat there, heart pounding, mind racing.
The memory lingered, replaying in her mind like a scene she couldn’t escape from. She needed a distraction—something, anything—to shift her thoughts away from the heat still coursing through her body.
Desperate to ground herself, she turned to Zethan and spoke, her voice slightly unsteady. "The flight... how long will it take for us to reach our destination?"
For a moment, he remained silent, his gaze steady and unreadable. Then, in a smooth, measured tone, he finally responded. "Approximately one hour."
Lilia’s eyes widened slightly. Onehour.
As she processed his words, she realized something else—he was watching her. There was a laziness to it, yet it held a certain weight, as if he were already doing unspeakable things to her with just his eyes.
Her pulse quickened.
Whydidhelookatherlikethat?Andworse, whywasherbodyreactingtoit?
What was wrong with this man? And why, ever since she met him, had he made her think things she had no business with?
Before she could dwell on it any further, Zethan spoke again, his voice low and smooth. "You don’t have to worry. If you’re concerned about the time, it will pass quickly before we even realize it. After all, we won’t just be sitting idle—we’ll do something productive."
Then, to her surprise, he winked.
Lilia’s face turned an even deeper shade of red as she glared at him. What was that supposed to mean? And why did he always manage to say things that sounded completely innocent yet somehow had a completely different meaning when they left his lips?
Zethan chuckled, clearly amused by her reaction. "Oh my, Loris," he teased, tilting his head. "You’re thinking south while I’m at the west. Hmm... I wonder what exactly is on your mind?"
Lilia huffed, crossing her arms. "Productive? You mean actual productive things?"
Zethan smirked. "Of course. What else?" He leaned in slightly. "Tell me, Loris, give me some ideas—what do you consider productive?"
Lilia thought for a moment before answering. "I would say..reading, playing games?"
His grin deepened. "You mean hide and seek?"
She blinked, taken aback. "Wait, what?"
Was he serious? He wasn’t actually suggesting they play hide and seek on an airplane, was he? It was ridiculous. She liked the game, sure, but the idea of playing it in such a setting sounded absurd.
And yet, when he leaned in again, his tone didn’t hold its usual teasing lilt. "We will play hide and seek then"
Lilia studied him carefully. His expression was unreadable. If he had been joking, there would have been a smirk or a playful glint in his eye. But now? He looked completely serious.
Was he really being serious?
She wanted to argue, but before she could, Zethan casually slipped a hand into his pocket and pulled out something—a sleek, pristine phone. Without a word, he handed it to her.
"Here. It’s yours."
Her gaze dropped back to the phone. Even without turning it on, she recognized it immediately. This was no ordinary phone—it was a limited edition model, one that was exclusively customized and only sold through an intense bidding system. She knew this because her sister, Sabrina, had begged their father countless times to try and get one, only for him to fail to make it onto the list. The process was ruthless—the highest bidder always won, and if someone outbid you, you had to keep raising your price.
And yet, Zethan had managed to get one.
Her heart thudded as she glanced at him again. She didn’t care about extravagant gifts, but the fact that he had gone to such lengths to get this for her...
She turned to him, confused. "Zethan...?"
He merely watched her, waiting.
Her gaze dropped back to the phone.
She swallowed hard before shaking her head. "I’m sorry, but I can’t accept this."
For the first time, Zethan actually looked surprised. His brows lifted slightly, as if her refusal hadn’t even been a possibility in his mind.
"It’s from me," he said simply, pressing the phone gently into her hand. "My number is already in it."
Lilia hesitated before slowly opening the phone. Sure enough, everything was already set up. As she scrolled through the contacts, she froze when she saw that he had saved his name as:
’My Overly Handsome Husband.’
"I saved yours too," Zethan spoke as he turned on his phone, showing her.
’My little cute loris.’
Lilia stared at the screen, then at him.
Her heart thudded.
Was he serious?
"Why do you call me Loris?"
Zethan was silent for a moment, watching her intently.
She continued, her curiosity growing. "I’ve been wondering for a while now. From what I know, lorises are cute... but aren’t they kind of illegal?"
At that, Zethan threw his head back and laughed—a deep, genuine laugh that rumbled through his chest. Lilia’s brows furrowed slightly. Was he mocking her? Or was he just that amused by what she said?
He gazed at her with a smirk. "It’s because you’re cute," he admitted, his voice holding a strange warmth. "And fierce."
Lilia stared at him, momentarily speechless.
Was he serious? Or was he just saying that to mess with her again?
She wasn’t sure. And that only made her heart race even faster.
Her brows furrowed slightly as she crossed her arms. "Why are you laughing? There are plenty of cute animals out there, you know. And it’s not like I don’t already have a name."
Zethan’s laughter faded into a slow smirk, his dark eyes gleaming as he studied her. Then, in that low, smooth voice of his, he said,
"Your beauty is supposed to be illegal, Lilia—the effortless kind. And you have no idea how you drive people crazy, my little wife. That is exactly why you are what you are."
Lilia’s breath caught.
Her heart pounded against her ribs, heat rushing to her face. This man—how could he say such things so casually? So confidently?
She opened her mouth to respond, but no words came out. Because, for the first time, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to argue with him at all.
The reason he called her that wasn’t because of the animal itself, but because of the traits it possessed—the ones he saw in her. And yet, the way he had worded it made her heart flutter in ways she couldn’t quite grasp.
Desperate for a distraction, Lilia reached for a chocolate, trying to steady herself. Why was this man so unpredictable? She never knew what he would say next or what he was thinking. But just as she unwrapped the treat, memories of earlier resurfaced—his mouth, his tongue, the warmth of the chocolate melting between them.
Her cheeks flushed a deep red.
She turned away quickly, but it was too late.
Zethan’s eyes were already on her, watching, drinking in her expression with an amused smirk curling at his lips. He looked at her with keen interest, as if reading her every thought.
Flustered, Lilia cleared her throat, lifting the chocolate between her fingers. "Do you want us to sh—"
She froze, realizing too late how her words sounded.
Her face burned.
This was exactly how he had teased her earlier.
Zethan’s grin deepened. "Yes, I do."
Lilia swallowed, trying not to read into it. She nodded quickly, breaking the chocolate in half and raising a piece toward him. "Here."
But before she could hand it over, he caught her wrist.
"Feed me."
Lilia’s eyes widened.
Even the chauffeur hesitated for a moment before resuming the drive.
"No... Who knows? You said you bite, depending. What if you bite me?" she blurted out, trying to ignore the sudden spike in her pulse.
Zethan lips curled up into a slow smile, his dark eyes darkening as they flickered to her wrist, then—to her neck.
"I won’t bite. Not now," he murmured, his thumb circling the delicate skin of her wrist.
Her breath hitched.
His hand moved slowly, deliberately, tracing from her wrist downward.
"I bite here..." His fingers brushed the sensitive skin.
Lilia’s heartbeat thundered.
Then, his hand trailed lower, grazing the soft curve of her thigh through her dress.
"I bite here."
Heat rushed through her, pooling deep in her stomach.
And then, with deliberate slowness, his fingers moved higher.
"Now, for my favorite parts," he whispered.
His hand hovered just over her chest, just enough to make her breath hitch, but never touching, only teasing.
"I bite here."
His voice had dropped, husky, deep. His fingertips skimmed down, back to her thigh, tracing idle patterns against the fabric of her dress.
Lilia shuddered, every nerve in her body on high alert.
And then, as if sealing his words, he leaned in, his gaze locked onto hers with unwavering intensity.
She didn’t even realize she was holding her breath.
His lips brushed her ear, his voice nothing but a whisper.
"Lastly... in between your legs."
