After bidding a reluctant farewell to the Gu sisters, Ye Fei strolled toward the building where his company was located.

As he walked, he glanced around, noticing the bustling crowd, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. Though he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

It wasn't until he reached the foot of the building that it hit him. Last night, Leng Yan had mentioned that with the year-end approaching, police resources were stretched thin, and even her anti-gang unit had been deployed to patrol the streets.
