Chapter 717: Chapter 717: Settling Scores After Autumn_1
He casually ordered fried rice in a restaurant outside, and after scarfing down a few bites, Mo Han hastily exited and then got into a black Audi business sedan.
"Mister Mo!"
Upon entry, He Chen, sitting in the back seat, took off his sunglasses and reported, "The Tao Family’s head, Madame Liu, left the venue and immediately ditched those thugs from the Cao Family. She hired a private car and raced back to her old home in the Changbai Mountains."
"I had someone follow that private car. Should we take action?"
As he spoke, He Chen specifically mimed a chopping gesture.
But Mo Han shook his head and said indifferently, "An old lady advanced in years, having lost her son and grandson, it’s understandable that she would act out in her grief."
"She doesn’t have many years left anyway. As long as she doesn’t come to Jiangling City, just leave her be."
"Got it. Mister Mo, you really are magnanimous!"
He Chen doled out some flattery and then asked, "However, there are still over twenty thugs from the Cao Family. After Madame Liu left, those guys have been circling around your wife’s studio. How should we deal with them?"
Mo Han asked, "What about them before?"
"These guys are lazy good-for-nothings on normal days. After the Cao Family fell and they lost their backing, they gathered together, engaged in swindling and deceit, and formed a small underground force."
He Chen relayed what he knew, "The day before yesterday, they dined and dashed at a restaurant managed by Go Lao’er, and while drunk, they harassed the female owner and beat up Old Go. It was only today that Go Lao’er reported the incident to me."
"Hmm."
Mo Han pondered briefly and spoke, "If they choose to come out and play, then they need to follow the rules."
"Tell Go Lao’er to seek justice for the restaurant’s owner and his wife. Don’t kill them, just crippling will suffice."
"Okay!"
He Chen nodded and promptly sent a text message to Go Lao’er.
At this moment, the Cao Family thugs lingering around the Polaris Commercial Building were unaware of the impending doom.
Like always, over twenty of them boisterously crowded into a Sichuan cuisine restaurant, took over four to five tables, and immediately demanded that the owner serve up the most expensive dishes and drinks.
"Damn it, it pisses me off. What the hell is this Jiangnan City Tao Family, Dragon City Nie Family, all a bunch of cowards! It’s just a matter of dealing with a live-in son-in-law, and they’re all so goddamn timid!"
"And that old lady is no good either, calling us over before the incident, not paying us, and when trouble hits, she’s the first one to run!"
"I’ve come to realize that depending on others just doesn’t work. We have to rely on ourselves. After all, we’ve got over twenty people. Why don’t we just start a gang like in the movies?"
Amidst the disorderly chatter, they paid no attention to the other customers in the restaurant.
Some of the more timid diners who hadn’t even received their meals left their seats and departed.
Even the braver ones hid in the corners and swiftly ate their food in silence.
When this group entered, most of the customers fled the restaurant, leaving the owner in a state of panic, but at that moment, he didn’t dare to offend them and could only urge the chefs to hurry up and serve the food to get these thugs fed and out.
"Boss! Boss!"
At that instant, a thug with a black mole on his face, after a swig of beer, angrily demanded, "Where’s our food? Why hasn’t it been served yet?"
"Right away, right away!"
The owner forced a grin and quickly replied, "The kitchen is already working on it..."
"Dad."
Just then, a girl around twenty, dressed in a pink coat and appearing quite gentle, ran into the restaurant excitedly, holding a cake box in her hand.
Today was her father’s birthday, and it was also the weekend. She had made a special trip back from university to celebrate his birthday.
"Hey, little lady’s quite pretty, come have a drink with uncle."
The drinking thug noticed the girl’s attractive looks and immediately felt lustful, attempting to grab her soft, lotus-like arm.
"No, don’t!"
The owner’s face went pale, and he rushed forward to shield his daughter, telling the thug, "Big brother, she’s too young to drink. How about this, I’ll give everyone a 50% discount on the meals today..."
"Quit your blabbering, get lost!"
Either drunk or just inherently arrogant, the thug shoved the owner, causing him to fall and cut his eyebrow, bleeding profusely.
That wasn’t the end of it, as the thug started violently kicking at the owner’s stomach, cursing, "Fuck your mother, I dine in your shitty restaurant out of respect, and you dare to charge me, discount? You fucking believe I’ll break your damn bones?"
"Dad!"
The girl first shielded her father with her body, then with a tremble in her voice, she dug out her phone from her bag, "I’m calling the police, to get all you bad guys arrested!"
"You want to call the cops? Brothers, carry this bitch inside, today we’re all going to have a good time!"
The black-moled thug seemed to have some authority among the Cao Family men. At his command, the others immediately complied. Some shut the door, others snatched the phone from the girl’s hand, and it looked as if they were about to carry her upstairs for their vile purposes.
Bang!
The restaurant’s door was kicked open.
Go Lao’er, dressed in black, charged in with dozens of his brothers. He glanced around the room before bellowing at the black-moled thug, "Cao Heizi! As I suspected, it’s you!"
"Brothers, beat these fucking bastards to death for me!"
"Yes!"
The men of Jucail Commercial Association nodded and surged forward in a rush.
The Cao Family thugs could bully ordinary folks, but now facing the real tough guys of the underworld, they immediately cowered.
Without a second thought, they curled up and covered their heads, "I surrender, I surrender..."
"Lao’er, what do we do with these guys?"
A junior approached Go Lao’er and asked.
The thugs were so pathetic that their foes had hoped for a real fight, but instead, the turkeys just cowered in the corner, leaving no fight to be had.
"Brother Chen said, ’There are laws of the land, and there are rules of the family!’"
Go Lao’er snorted disdainfully, "Since they dared to cause trouble on our Jucail Commercial Association’s turf, they should suffer the consequences!"
"Break their arms and legs for me, and toss them all out!"
