Unveil Her Secret Identities -
Chapter 123 June Album Song_1
Chapter 123: 123 June Album Song_1
Lu Qingyi massaged her temples in irritation. So annoying.
"Alright, alright, let’s have Qingyi come up and say something for the last two minutes," Yang Liu walked over, smacking the table as she suggested.
The event was scheduled to conclude by nine thirty, and it was just a few minutes before nine thirty now.
"I wish you all a prosperous future."
Lu Qingyi took the microphone and started speaking indifferently. She didn’t really have much to say.
Class 20 students: "..."
Yang Liu: "..."
Wait, that’s it? Wasn’t she going to say anything more?
"Qingyi, what are your holiday plans?" Jiang Yumeng was holding a big box; she passed it to Lu Qingyi, "It’s a gift for you."
Jiang Yumeng felt that the person she was most grateful to was Lu Qingyi. She wasn’t worried about her college entrance exam grades at all because her admission to a medical college was all but guaranteed.
She had secured a special admission quota. And if it wasn’t for Lu Qingyi, she would never have had this opportunity in her life.
"Going back to my small town," Lu Qingyi took the box, "What’s this?"
"A gift for you."
Jiang Yumeng grinned.
"I’ll be heading to Kyoto after the results are out," Lu Qingyi announced.
It was a standing rule at the school that students were expected to return to campus before checking their college entrance examination marks.
Lu Qingyi wasn’t bothered by this rule. She just didn’t want to be singled out and treated differently.
"Ah, so soon?"
Jiang Yumeng was a bit bewildered.
Lu Qingyi lived nearby, but Jiang Yumeng couldn’t understand why she would leave for Kyoto so early. She was quite surprised.
--
The next day, Lu Qingyi packed her suitcase. She walked out of the school dragging a suitcase behind her.
She wore a visor cap, gave the visor a gentle tap and, at the turn around the school gate, got into a black car.
Lin Yiran caught sight of this scene as soon as she stepped out of the school, prompting her to stop in her tracks.
She could vaguely see the profile of a man in the driver’s seat.
What relationship did Lu Qingyi have with this man?
Lin Yiran was deeply curious.
"You’re really free."
Lu Qingyi pulled down her cap, crossed her legs, placed her hands behind her head. She was the picture of nonchalance.
"Hey, now that your college entrance exams are over, you should be considering other things, right?"
Lun Boyan was sitting in the passenger seat, turning his head to look and chuckle at Lu Qingyi, secretly hatching plans.
"I still have to go to college."
Lu Qingyi lazily lifted her eyelids, shrugged her shoulders and said.
Lun Boyan: "..."
He spluttered in frustration. This kid, she was really getting on his nerves.
"Lu Qingyi, you’ve already graduated from college. You’re now a professor at Hardrick. Why would you need to attend college? Is there anyone else like you? Right now I am..."
Lun Boyan pointed at Lu Qingyi’s nose, his beard bristling in annoyance.
Sometimes, he really wanted to crack open Lu Qingyi’s head to see what was going on in there. Her thinking wasn’t something that a normal person could measure.
"If you don’t tell, and I don’t tell, who will know?"
Lu Qingyi maintained her laid-back attitude, giving Lun Boyan a nonchalant glance.
Lun Boyan: "..."
He really should reveal to the public that Lu Qingyi was a professor at Hardrick, let everyone know the truth about her. Let’s see how she would face taking the college entrance exam then, and whether she’d still have the nerve to go to college.
Hum, he was furious.
"Old man, I should donate a library to Hardrick."
Lu Qingyi looked at Lun Boyan, speaking with such casual indifference it seemed she was just discussing her grocery shopping.
The chauffeur glanced at Lu Qingyi through the rearview mirror, taking note of her words with a sigh in his heart.
Lu Qingyi was truly remarkable, achieving at a young age what most could not in their entire lifetime. Most importantly, she seemed to never run out of money.
"What would I need a library for?"
Lun Boyan crossed his arms, glaring at Lu Qingyi. His voice filled with dislike, his lips curling upwards.
A pure tsundere.
"A computer lab would also work," Lu Qingyi continued.
"No."
The old man turned up his nose, refusing to look at Lu Qingyi, his heart full of tsundere pride.
There was no way he could be bribed. He wouldn’t fall for that.
Lu Qingyi had lots of money, but he, this old man, still had his pride.
"Administration building? Combined building? Gymnasium?"
Lu Qingyi raised an eyebrow, trying various alternatives one by one.
This old man was rather difficult to deal with.
"You think your bribe would be effective?"
Lun Boyan scoffed, turning his head away from Lu Qingyi, busy plotting in his mind.
"June’s special album."
Lu Qingyi was propping up her chin, looking at Lun Boyan with an enigmatic smile.
Because June hadn’t released any new piano songs for a long time, her album had sold out quite some time ago. The albums that exist now are all limited editions, essentially impossible to purchase on the open market.
Lun Boyan was especially fond of June’s piano songs.
"Deal."
Lun Boyan’s eyes brightened, looking at Lu Qingyi with a gleam in his eyes.
Lu Qingyi: "..."
Did his face hurt? Who was the one that had vehemently refused bribes a moment ago, now agree with so much enthusiasm?
"As humans, we have to seek benefits for ourselves. Sometimes accepting bribes is acceptable if it doesn’t hurt anyone."
Lun Boyan gave a dry laugh while forcing a smile at Lu Qingyi.
The album was important, the album was important.
"Here you go." Lu Qingyi pulled out an album from her bag and threw it at Lun Boyan.
Lun Boyan caught it and hugged it like a treasured keepsake, "Be careful, what if you break it?"
Lu Qingyi: "..."
She found it amusing.
Lun Boyan asked, "When will the funds be transferred?"
Lu Qingyi: "...What funds?"
"The library, computer lab, administration building, combined building, office building, gymnasium, I want them all, no exceptions."
Lun Boyan counted with his fingers, repeating all the items Lu Qingyi had just mentioned.
Lu Qingyi had plenty of money. They could certainly afford to build all these.
Lu Qingyi: "..."
Didn’t he say he didn’t want them? Why was he wanting them all now?
This old man really had no shame.
"You said it yourself, don’t go back on your word."
Lun Boyan leaned back in his seat and glared at Lu Qingyi.
Lu Qingyi: "...Alright, old man, you’ve got me cornered."
She had already planned to donate to Hardrick, doing it now wouldn’t be an issue, considering her wealth.
"That’s more like it." Lun Boyan laughed heartily.
The driver stole another glance at Lu Qingyi, feeling a vast gap between them.
Lu Qingyi could casually agree to donate an entire teaching building without batting an eye, while he had to consider for a long time before making a down payment on a house.
Sigh, humans.
The car stopped smoothly at the entrance to Lu Qingyi’s grandmother’s house. Lu Qingyi got off the car, and Lun Boyan left.
