Chapter 28: Ch.28 Rapid Development

After a while, the walls of the territory appeared in front of her, and she flew toward the lord’s mansion without stopping.

"Hmm?"

Neo, who was managing the files, looked up. Through their connection, he felt Lily rapidly approaching the lord’s mansion.

Lily stated as both of them flew away. The other watched this in silence before continuing on their way.

After a while, they entered Lord’s office as Neo was waiting for them while sipping on coffee.

"Explain this expedition; don’t hide anything."

Neo commanded nonchalantly as he continued to focus more on enjoying the coffee than listening to the explanation.

"Yes, My lord!"

The beastman said as he started to explain everything. Lily listened from the side, making sure that the beastman didn’t make any fake claims.

After a while, the beastman finished his explanation as Lily felt nothing wrong with it.

"You are dismissed."

Neo said to the beastman as he took another sip of coffee. Lily stood there in silence as she watched Neo drinking coffee.

The only sound in the room was Neo sipping on the coffee. Lily felt the atmosphere was wrong but didn’t say anything.

"Do you know your mistake?"

Neo asked with a calm tone as he put down the now-empty cup on the table. Standing up, he walked toward Lily slowly as he waited for her answer.

The silence of the room was broken, but Lily couldn’t be happy; instead, a sense of dread gripped her heart as she tried to find the mistake she had made.

But even after a while, she couldn’t come up with anything, so she could only look helplessly as Neo’s figure approached her.

Seeing that she couldn’t come up with a reply, Neo shook his head in disappointment. Seeing the disappointed look on Neo’s face, Lily’s heart fell.

Neo said as he looked at the almost crying face of Lily. This made his heart falter, but he took a deep breath and steadied his emotions.

Neo asked as Lily looked up with a confused face, she then pondered this question for a while before answering.

Neo said as Lily’s heart released a breath of relief, she looked up at the close face of Neo waiting for his next words.

Lily replied with a smile as she walked out of the room, her smile was like a blooming flower and as if to reflect that withe each step she too flowers withered and bloomed.

Neo watched Lily’s departing figure before walking back to his desk. Sitting down, he thought of the magic Lily had created.
